Just went to Target for the first time in 5 months no one wearing a mask. Half on half off or just none at all really unsafe avoid ! The employees don't see to care. I just had to put things down and leave the store. It's BAD read more

Tried buying using the drive thru/drive up service. What a disaster!!! First, when you pull into target there are no signs for Drive Up service. Had to stop and ask the parking attendant who said he thinks it is on the 4th floor of the parking garage. Thinking that now I have to pay for parking so what is the whole point of this I angrily drove up to the 4th floor from the first floor. Not exactly "in front of the Target" entrance as shown in the commercials. Found a drive up stop on the 4th floor by luck. No signs, no indicators whatsoever to where you are supposed to go. Parked in the drive up space and sat there for 20 minutes. No wifi at the location and I couldn't get data on my phone because you have to wait in a parking garage. Got tired of waiting and decided to walk to customer service where no one knew I was even at the drive up space. Apart from the many things that made this drive up experience terrible and the last time I am probably going to try it, here are my suggestions: 1. Install a camera to monitor the drive up spaces. If someone pulls up to drive up a Target employee should come out 2. Install wifi in the drive up area so people can access your app to at least be able to summon someone 3. Have an intercom in the drive up area so customers can contact your customer service desk. At least have a phone number somewhere in the drive up so a customer can call your customer service desk. read more

Based on multiple horrible customer service (an apparent misnomer at this location) experiences at this location, I've basically broken up with Target. I've gone from spending a few hundred dollars a month to less than $300 a year...and that includes online. And they wonder why their sales are down? It's no secret if you shop at this location. There's been multiple Saturdays when I've gone in the morning and there are NO SHOPPING CARTS! it's almost comical. I've tweeted pictures to them with minimal response. I've spoken to staff onsite with minimal response. They just don't care. I'm giving it two stars because this is still a Target and I love their home goods and style. And there isn't another one for about 15 miles. But I now get my groceries at a local grocery store and most of my home goods come from HomeGoods, Amazon, or Bed, Bath & Beyond. It's a shame because I loved the one-stop shopping Target provided, but I don't need the rudeness, and attitude, and the general annoyance of shopping here. But if a Brian Cornell, CEO, needs to know why Target is struggling, look no further than this Target, in the heart of one of the wealthiest counties in the country, for why sales are down. read more

There's some really bad reviews on here and all I can say is...it's a Target. I've never heard someone say they go to Target for their amazing cashiers and customer service. It's Target. It has lots of stuff and minimum wage employees. read more

This store is very poorly managed. We arrived tonight and there were no carts available. There were employees sorting through merchandise holding onto a half dozen carts, but they would not make them available to patrons. We picked up a few things that we needed to try on, but it was after 7pm and all of the fitting runs were closed. As a customer you need to pay for parking, so if I need to return things that don't fit, you need to pay again. We walked out in frustration without buying anything. read more

If k could leave minus stars I would. Huge target fan and shop there all the time on all states. I travel for work. The pharmacy and all staff need to fired!!!! Really WTF you don't care that patients will be without their medicine and it was your staff just the night before confirming they had the medicine have never been treated so bad and felt like they could have cared less.. do t trust this place the pharmacy and the staff is the rudest I have dealt with nation wide!!!!!!! read more

First I love the cute things that Target but this store is ridiculous. They Just remodeled and managed to make the experience worse. What happened to popcorn and pizza to Snack on during your shopping experience? Only one area now for check out. And only 2 clerks working on a Saturday afternoon!!! Come on now! So self check out completely backed up with no help. Many items out of stock. Its a 2 floor store with parking below and me with a cart loaded to the brim and only one of 4 elevators actually works! Then Only one gate working to leave the garage. Waited in a long line as not everyone had prepaid. Long frustrating day. Think I'll try Danbury Target next time even though a bit further. Target HDQ needs to pay this store a visit. read more

Worst Target I've ever been to. Turned into the parking garage, which is extremely dark, before I realized it was a paid garage. Called several times from the garage to ask where the curbside was and after picking up and selecting 2 for the desk, nothing for at least a minute and then a hangup over and over. No obvious signage for curbside pickup so I ended up going into the store and picking it up inside. No staff at the desk, 10 minutes waiting for someone to help. When the clerk finally arrived I asked her where was the curbside and her answer was "same as in here." Like what??? Will NEVER go to this Target again read more

I want to start by saying, I heart Target. I've been a Target loyalist for a long time, and I think they've continued (for the most part) to improve their instore and online experiences. We all know it's the place to get that cute but not expensive piece of clothing or bra, some home furnishings, and even groceries (which are often better prices than the supermarket). I also like the way the app works with the stores these days. I sometimes order shipped to me, sometimes ship to store, sometimes I use the 2-hour pickup option, and sometimes I just add things to a list and go shopping. That said, here are my problems with the Stamford location: --It's a mess. I know they have been going through some kind of store reorganization, but it's been 8 months since I moved here and while I see things moved around, they're always still a mess. --Even the aisles and shelves that don't seem to be moving are often out of stock on multiple items and have things in the wrong place. It just always looks like nobody is straightening out shelves. I've multiples times read labels and thought I knew the price of something only to be wrong because it was in the wrong place. --multiple times I have ordered pick up in store only to have my order not available or canceled, or not there when I go to pick it up, even if it says it is. I imagine this is tied to the issue of the store being a disaster and nobody being able to find things. --customer service is terrible. I live down the street so I've now stopped in quite a few times. It's consistently bad, other than one young man who was actually helpful one day when all of the self checkouts (the only registers open) were backed up and having errors). I've never had a good experience at the customer service/online order counter. Employees will often walk right by you or tell you they can't help. I can't say I won't come back here, because it's the only Target near me. But I certainly come here far less often than I used to, and tend to look to other stores to find the things I need (or order more online). read more

I was stopped from going to self checkout yesterday by a cashier who looked & sounded pissed at the world. For some reason she didnt allow us to go to self check out and demanded we go to her cashier (#7) . Dont remember her name but sure did remember her face :). Not sure what the prejudice was there but she was furious at me and my bf for no reason and didn't even want to look at us. read more

Ok. So this Target has never been a good Target relative to others. The parking is difficult (are the parking payment kiosks in the store perpetually out of service???) and the two story layout means the carts have to be compatible with the escalator and are not conducive to loading up on bulky items like diapers and paper towels. And they've always had inconsistent stock levels or lack of variety of sizing. But it seems to have gotten worse with the renovation (really, it's slowly been getting worse for awhile). I put up with the disorganization and long lines and poor selection of items during the renovation thinking it would all improve post renovation. Sure the store looks nicer than it used to but I think they put aesthetics over functionality with the renovation. They seem to have valued sleek displays in their clothing and home departments at the cost of product variety and functional layout. I had to search and search for kitchen towels and dish cloths to find one tiny shelf with almost no variety in options for either. I ended up not purchasing them there. And checkout is even worse. They are heavily relying on self checkout - which I dont mind - but they simply don't have enough self checkout stations when the store is busy. They need more regular lanes open to keep self check out lines from being 10+ people deep. Every time I go the lines seem to get longer. I live much closer to a Walmart but I've always gone out of my way to shop target instead because it's always been a better experience. But lately with product selection issues and long lines, I'm choosing to just go to Walmart. The prices on basics are better and lately the lines have been shorter. Why deal with the parking hassle that you have to pay for and elevators and non-functional carts? read more

The service is horrible at best. Prepare to set aside an hour at least if you want to return something. Had this same experience 4 times now. read more

This is a great Target, but the parking fee makes it so I tend to avoid it. It's located in downtown, and they actually have their own dedicated parking garage ...which they charge for. I suppose it's a nuisance fee to keep people from parking there and going elsewhere, but it annoys me enough to keep it from being a 4-star rating. This Target is also two floors, which can be confusing at first. How, you might ask, do you get your cart up to the second floor? They have a cart escalator, which is pretty cool. I know, this bumpkin from the further suburbs probably shouldn't be amused by this, but I am. It's a self-service escalator for carts only, but if you have kids that are fascinated by machines, you could probably entertain your kids for a while just watching this. So, most of the housewares are upstairs, and most of the clothing is downstairs. If you don't want to or need to use the cart escalator, there are checkouts on both floors. The store is pretty clean compared to other Targets I've been to, and pretty well organized. read more

I love shopping at target! But after today I doubt I'll be back! Had the worst experience. Employees at the Stamford store need to learn how to mind their own business and not talk about customer behind their backs! Today I went to target to get some things and my daughter , as any 4 year old started crying because wanted a toy and I said no. So she threw a tantrum and so my husband decided to take her to the car to calm down, as he's going towards the elevator my daughter is still throwing her tantrum and a target employee automatically assumed abuse, she calls security through the walkie. I saw her from a distance doing that and I walked right over there and as I get closer to her she talking to another target employee saying she saw my husband hit my daughter which was NOT true, and saying how horrible my husband was! TARGET EMPLOYEES IF YOU DONT KNOW WHAT IS REALLY GOING ON! MIND YOUR OWN BUSINESS! read more

Okay, so here it is. I actually really appreciate Target stores overall. Here's the complaint about this particular location- you have to pay for parking. This is a pet peeve for me and especially since Stamford only has 1 target store to be a patron of. Yes, I do realize it's only $1 or $2 or whatever the monetary amount is according to how long you are shopping. The issue is that I do not support malls nor stores that are going to charge me for my patronage. I can drive to other locations and park in their lot for free and shop until I'm about to fall asleep from exhaustion both financially or physically. That being said, if you're going to have the nerve to charge me for simply entering your parking lot and store I'm going to choose a different business altogether to support. It is distasteful that this location forces local patrons to pay the extra money and because they do not have another Target location nearby to support as an alternative this is what they are subjected to. Let's be intelligent consumers at the very least. Speak up Stamford locals, you deserve better. Remember this, every time you make a purchase you are casting a vote on what and who you support. read more

Let me preface this review with a disclaimer: I'm originally from the suburbs and I LOVE TARGET!!! Since moving into the Manhattan, I haven't been able to visit Target. So, I was stoked that while working in Stamford, CT I had the opportunity to walk to Target from my hotel. This place is 2 stories, and has an escalator for your cart. I've only really seen this on the east coast, since multi-story Targets on the west coast are unheard of. Target is great for all your needs, you can find most everything here. This is one of those stores that you walk in, and walk out with something that you didn't know you needed. Good location, clean, lots of parking. While I'm visiting my client in Stamford, I plan to visit often and lug things back with my to the City! read more

The staff for the most part doesn't care. The tellers are usually very good. The parking is cheap and if you park on p3 or p4 then you'll find plenty of room. I honestly don't see why anyone would wait on the first level to park. You're taking the elevator up regardless. Anyways; this Target is the first place I ever used the ShopSavvy app on my Droid. Target still had one of the best prices for the item I was looking for. They carry a smattering of almost everything. We got a lot of our basic storage cabinets here. They're compressed fiber board but were easy to assemble, cheap and fit our needs. We also got a pair of bicycles here, plastic bins, even undershirts and the like. The kitchenwares as well as bed and bath areas are very well stocked and on par with places like Bed Bath and Beyond but with better prices. We also tend to find a lot of hygiene items and such here for a fair bit less than we'd expect to find elsewhere. This place is an upscale Wal-mart. Just beware; they change the layout on occasion and don't carry everything the website says they do. read more

I completely love this Target! I can find everything I want. I was working on decorating my new apartment and I returned some things that didn't match..they were happy to help me, no questions asked! Their products selection is very nice and the store is always clean and organized. I even became a Red card member since it is so convenient and close to my place. The only thing I would change is to add a parking validation point for real target costumers with a receipt. read more

The relatively-new Target in Stamford was embraced by the locals because we didn't have anything like it within the city of Stamford - no Walmart (thank God) or Target or anything like it! And what made it even better was that it was located conveniently downtown, and not in an ugly strip mall! The Target in Downtown Stamford is a 2-story store with a few levels of parking below it. It has everything - a pharmacy, photo developing center, women's clothing and shoes (including the Go collections), men's clothing and shoes, electronics, clothes, accessories, home decor, and even a food section. What I don't like about this location is: - That you have to pay $1 for parking (but all parking in downtown will cost you, so I guess that's ok) - The store always seems to be messy. - Salespeople are not particularly helpful compared to other Target's I've been to. - The Go collection stuff sells out too fast! But otherwise, this is a good place to shop and get things on the cheap in Stamford. read more

I love Target. It amazes me how much better this store is than Walmart. Maybe because its clean. Maybe because they have wide aisles so you can actually go around people walking slow. Maybe because they have phones you can pick up and have call for help if you can't find an employee. Maybe because they actually sell decent food. I like this Target, BUT it pisses me off that you have to pay to shop there. This is Stamford not Manhattan. I had to exchange something last week and it just aggravated me that I had to pay $1 to do an even exchange for something that was their fault. I know, what's a dollar? For a one time shopping trip, not a big deal. But when you're someone who shops there all the time, it adds up. Park at Burlington if you feel the same, its free. read more

This place is always clean and bright but I never see anyone cleaning. It's like magic. The cash registers are plenty but by enough people behind them. I hate that I have to pay for parking...that's the East Coast for you. $1 every few hours? I'm already forking out money at Target so I don't have to step inside a Walmart. I don't know why I'm reviewing Target, who even reads these things? I'm just bored I guess. read more

When this Target first opened, I was not fan of this place. I didn't return to the store for about a year, but they did turn things around. It's a lot quieter than the area Walmart's and a pleasant shopping experience. The cashiers and customer service people are also better here. Target is great for inexpensive home decor and this place has plenty. My son and I love the toy section and the mini grocery area. The one thing I do not like about this location is that you have to pay for parking. While most trips only cost a dollar, I just have strong feelings about the franchise pushing the cost of parking on their patrons. Either way, this is my "everything" store in the area and I'm a frequent visitor. read more

I like it since I can get everything I need and several things I probably don't. Located in the middle of Downtown. I live 5 minutes from it, so a few times a week I find myself in here "picking up" a few things. The traffic at that intersection BLOWS beyond belief...between the confused motorists, the lost UConn kids, construction vehicles and the other equally confused pedestrians, it can definitely be a pain in the ass if you decide to drive here. They also charge $1 for parking. Park underneath the Summer Street Garage if you're only gonna go in for less than 15 minutes...and have a quarter handy. Some of the "team" members are useless and lazy, but I suppose you have those types at any retail establishment. My only gripe is when there are a bunch of them roaming around with only one or two registers open. They might as well get self-checkout if they want to do stuff like that. All in all...it's better than Walmart. read more

The parking here super stinks first you have to pay no matter what you spend and then ... u wait on a line and then there's an attendant there who does nothing and then when u knock on her window she says oh it's credit card only...how annoying.it's why I think twice before going to this Target. read more

If I could give negative stars, I would but there is no option. I waited more than an hour at their pharmacy for two asthma pumps and an antibiotic to get mixed. That is insane!!!! Given that this is the only target for several miles, I am very impressed by the quality of this store compared to other target locations I've been in. I'm a little sad to put such a low rating but I will say that all of the employees are nice and kind. However, they aren't educated on the store very much. I've been going to this target for 7 months. Each time I go in, the makeup section looks like someone straight up looted it and ran. I've asked twice why this is, perhaps the store is closing for good - no one can give me an answer at all and they refer me to guest relations. Or they give a reason I know is false, like the brands being discontinued. They can't be discontinued if they are there and only stocked SOMETIMES, and when they are, it is stocked really poorly. For this to happen for 7 straight months is ridiculous. Stop carrying this brands if they aren't giving enough products (which I doubt is the case lol) but I will not jump to conclusions. I understand there are more important things than the cosmetic aisle, but not to people who make a living off of it or it is their passion. Pixi Beauty products are only sold at THIS Target, and nowhere in a 30 mile radius. And each time I come, more and more is missing. Same with NYX. Same with Wet N Wild. If it is a simple stocking issue, please resolve it. If not, please remove these items. read more

This store has really gone downhill. It used to be so nice. Now It is really dirty with wrappers and debris all over the floors. 2nd floor registers are rarely open & when they are, it's just one! They recently went on a hiring spree for seasonal employees & boy is this group filled with a bunch of unprofessional hood rats. I'm sorry but there is no other way to describe it. Guys standing around socializing about tattoos, a female employee being confrontational with a customer over her service dog, then went on to bad mouth the customer in front of other shoppers when she was schooled about the service animal by that customer. Crazy lines & no assistance from the gossiping sales associate in the self check out area because they were too busy chatting it up with coworkers. These new hires have it good. They're getting paid to do nothing. Management needs to step it up in Stamford. read more

This is a good Target! There aren't many in the area, and I am glad that one is the one that I use to do my shopping, clean and organized, with helpful staff. This is, by far, the worst Target I have ever shopped at, and not because the products are terrible. They actually have a great selection of products and items to choose from. They have organic, vegan, vegetarian, and paleo friendly products as well as a wide array of organic health, beauty, and home products. What is terrible about this location - and the reason for this review - is their customer service. The check-out agents are often unfriendly and downright rude. The pharmacy agents in this location are surly and always seem bored and unprepared to help. It's like pulling teeth to actually have someone smile at you and say "How are you today?" Beyond that this store is often messily stocked and sloppily run. The worst part of this store, though, are their advertisement practices. They will often place out signs that will say "X item is on sale" or "All Items Buy One Get One X% Off" and then refuse to honor the sale at the register. I have actually started being in the habit of taking photos of their signs for both items on sale and sale prices simply because they advertise things on sale and then refuse to honor the price at the register. Most recently I had an item ring up incorrectly due to the sign being incorrect and they had the audacity to tell me that if I didn't like it I could take up a dispute with my credit card company (the MANAGER said this - appalling). I did take up the dispute with my credit card company, however the credit card company said because I completed the transaction on my card that they cannot rule in my favor even if the sign is wrong because I still completed the check-out. So despite the fact that I was told I had to complete the check-out and then go downstairs to customer service to speak to a manager I am still on the hook for this erroneous price simply because they took advantage of a loophole. I am quite certain that they knew if I completed the check-out the manager would refuse to honor the sale price and my credit card company would then have no choice but to rule in their favor because I completed the check-out. They are charlatans and crooks, the lot of them. I've started driving to White Plains to shop at the Target there now simply out of principle of the matter. Never again. read more

I've never been to a Target with so many incompetent employees. I've been to Targets in multiple states...all great. The one in Stamford, it's actually like an episode of the twilight zone. 1) there are never employees around when you need them. I see them throughout the store when I'm there, but there are ZERO employees at checkout or customer service and you have to wait until someone just notices you. 2) the employees know absolutely NOTHING about target policies or customer serve. I was supposed to get a $5 gift card on a purchase. I took actual pictures of the sign. Not one, but TWO employees, including one at customer service, "hmmm that's weird. Yeah. I don't know" when I showed them I should get a $5 gift card. It was literally pulling teeth to get the girl to just give me the gift card. I asked for a manager "...yeahhh the managers on break". I've never been to a Target where the employees don't go above and beyond to honor signs or sale prices when they don't ring up right. read more

I like Target stores in general but avoid the one in Stamford due to the dollar charge for parking. I understand that the store is downtown where parking is a premium but I feel they should validate parking for their customers. It's not a big charge, just a dollar but I'm bothered by the principal of the matter. The selection is good, the prices are fine, the cleanliness is fine, the lines are average. Overall I'd say everything at this Target is average, meeting expectations. I've never experienced extraordinary customer service or found an exceptional bargain but never anything notably bad either. I just do my shopping elsewhere due to the parking fee. read more

You'd think commodity technologies like elevators, parking payment kiosks, and cash registers had been invented earlier this year, the way things run at this Target in Stamford. The elevators have been either slow or broken since the place opened a decade ago. Swipe your credit card in a parking kiosk, and the machine churns forever, as if it were attempting to calculate all the digits of pi. Try to check out too early, and you won't find any staff by the registers. Shopping at this Target is a perpetually frustrating and unpleasant experience. read more
