I recently brought my daughter, Gianna, to firearms training with Ray at TSS Avondale, and the experience was excellent from start to finish. What stood out most to me was the way Ray connected with her. He has a great understanding of how to encourage and challenge his students without overwhelming them. This was one of the best range experiences I've had. I am relatively new to shooting, and the range of handguns available for rental here was awesome. The range lanes are well lit, and the RSO spent some time with me giving me tips and correcting some of my newbie shooting errors. By the end of my time on the range I was shooting more accurately, and more confidently than before (and I've taken classes with other training centers). They were friendly, knowledgable, and more than happy to help me choose rental guns that fit my needs (as well as suggest others for future sessions). Their ammo is required if you rent a firearm from them, which is standard, but their prices were very reasonable. It cost me about half as much to shoot for 2.5hrs here as it did for 45 minutes at other ranges (with twice as much ammo, and two rental guns). Highly recommend this range for shooters of all levels. read more

My first time at this range, the customer service was very polite they took time to even show me a few rifles on the wall. I used the range and the prices were great. The range Officer "Kevin" was amazing he was polite and very helpful. I'm actually experienced but it was my gf first time shooting & he helped me teach her the proper way to shoot. I've never taught anyone and missed a few pointers but he was very helpful and she was able to hit the target on the bullseye because of his help! Rented a .22 pistol as well & it was well maintained & clean. Shot very clean. Thank you Target Shooting for the experience & not making my gf first time shooting scary! I appreciate that a lot ! I will NEVER step foot back in this place!!! Range assistant was RUDE obnoxious and all over me and my son as soon as we stepped foot in the range. I have never been treated with such disrespect and for no reason. Seems like a frustrated overweight balding ex military. As a firearms expert and a regular at another shooting range in West Chester on 202. I was appalled at attitude and demeanor of this guy, I believe his name was Craig. I was planning on purchasing a new rifle after target practice but after the way I was spoken to I walked out and I will NEVER buy anything from this place ever again. Stay AWAY there are much better places to shoot and not be treated like a criminal or an idiot. read more

What a great shop. I'm not sure i could have ordered a better place off of a menu. All.of the staff are kind well informed and helpful. I had been there a few times and decided to take a class. John davis was great ! I highly recommend this shop to those of you that may be hesitant about firearms training. It is family friendly and safety is top notch. As an experienced gun owner and firearms expert this was the Worse experience ever at a gun range or anywhere for that matter. The range manager was rude condescending obnoxious. Had a major attitude and made me feel so uncomfortable that as I was setting up I ended up walking out after being accused of laughing at his obnoxious directions and rude demeanor. I've been here a few times and decided i wanted some actual lessons from an experienced instructor, Ray was fantastic, felt super comfortable and was very helpful in form and instruction. If you need a little brush up on basics or you're just starting out I highly recommend going to see him! US Naval Sea Cadets/ William E. Taylor Division- We have often used TSS for multiple events. The staff and ownership is top notch. Facilities are immaculate and well run.
