This was my first time in the Rolling Hills Target as I usually drive down to the Torrance location. I WAS so pleasantly surprised and can't believe I haven't come here earlier! The store is large, clean and very well organized. Nicely stocked. All departments are available and there is even a Starbucks inside. I was looking for something specific and couldn't find it. THEN, I came upon a wonderful employee named MAYA. She was stocking items and offered to walk to the areas the items might located. I showed a photo on my phone and she knew EXACTLY where it was located and more! I found more of what I wanted and the prices were fantastic. This employee went over and beyond to help me and I so appreciate it. Thank you, Maya! This Target is now my Target of choice! read more

The team member Uriel is very unprofessional and mistreats his staff from what was seen and how he was acting. Doesn't want to try and hear the situation out from either parties and just automatically blames his team. At this pace nobody would want to work here. He was rude. There was not a big selection of products and on top of that there was expired cheese and apple sauce on the shelves. read more

10/5/24 Still feeling suspicious about Target BUT I have a gift card to redeem This is probably the smallest Target I've ever been in, but was in the neighborhood and decided to just redeem my gift card here-- it looks a little less suspicious/sketchy than the one in Montclair . I purchased a tape dispenser, glass cleaner, a small waist basket, adaptable sliders for the sofa/couchEs, and Dawn platinum foam dish wash. I was looking for clips to use to keep the bed sheets firmly onto the mattress--nope, this is too small of a branch to have them, but the person that was helping me mentioned maybe finding it at TJ Maxx a few doors down, she was helpful and patient. As mentioned earlier, it's a small Target so the inventory is limited, but I was able to get some of the items that I needed and I was able to finally redeem the gift card . Whatever balance was needed to pay the whole total I paid in cash. Ever since the Target debacle about being scammed off a gift card, I've been feeling leery about Target altogether--so I am not going to use any of my cards to get scammed again just in case. Overall this branch was less sketchy than the Montclair location, hence the 4 stars. It was small & limited but I felt helped & comfortable at this store. Not entirely certain if I will ever regain that trust for Target stores from the experience in Montclair. I guess being jaded is better than being duped again. read more

Doing target pickup orders on the weekday mornings is a breeze. There's a girl (dark brown hair) who is usually working and she is ALWAYS on it. She's quick, friendly and deserves recognition for her consistent hard work. The guy that also works weekday mornings is also very quick. The only thing that this Target could work on is deterring the entitled mouth breathers that park in the "Drive-up Only" spots and go inside to shop. Those people are the worst. read more

Clean store, the friendly staff is the best part of this particular Target store....especially the staff who work at the in store Starbucks at Target Rolling Hills. They brighten my day and are so polite. I'd say they make my drinks and complicated latte orders better than any of the other Starbucks! Whoever posted the negative feedback about Yasenia does not reflect any experience I've had with my 100 + interactions with her. Ysenia is the sweeties and a great barista! read more

I'm so glad this Target is nearby! It often has what I need in a pinch, as long as I set my expectations realistically since it's a small store. The sales/checkout staff is helpful, the parking is easy, and it even has self-checkout (albeit with very little space to place purchased items.) It even has a Starbucks! read more

We've been coming here since they opened a few years ago. I call this Target the Baby Target because it's significantly smaller than your normal Target. This Target has most of the household items we need. I come here for lactose free milk because Target has the best price, even better than Aldi. I love the smaller foot print of the store and calm parking lot. read more

Me and my wife went to exchange some little girls clothes for some different sizes and styles . The exchange girl said that is I don't buy the same exact thing that then they could only do a return and that I would have to buy the new items separately and that she would return the money for the other items and I said fine . Then she took my stuff to the back to the employee only area then started demanding the receipt that I didn't have . I didn't have the receipt but I had the digital app receipt but the way that worker acted and she took my stuff to the back to get it away from me felt like she was accusing me of stealing . She judged me and was very accusatory . Target of Downey and Carson don't do this stuff . I came here to. Yay! There's a new Target that just opened up on the hill. So convenient. They must have opened sometime earlier this week with absolutely no hoopla. However, it is so tiny and soooooo crowded. You can literally walk the entire store in five minutes, if there weren't so many people getting in your way. When you first walk in, there's a Starbucks to your right; women's clothing; groceries are centrally located; Christmas decorations and Halloween candy in the back; general merchandise and cards on both sides of the store; and checkout registers, front and center. Currently, there is one line to have someone check you out. There are only three self checkouts, and one line for that. They're attempting to do the social distancing for the lines, but forget it for the rest of the store; there are way too many people. I'll definitely be back. I just hope it will be less crowded when I do. read more

This is the new Target that has just opened up on the hill. The first thing you should know about this Target is that it is not a large store. It is a relatively small store in terms of size. This being said, they are attempting to stock it full with all of the various items, including foods, that the larger Targets have to offer. The size of the store really sets the definitions for how you feel while shopping here. Meaning, you can feel fairly cramped with all of the people around you. In terms of organization, the stores is well-defined, as all Target stores tend to be. They have their sections well delineated and you can find what you are looking for in an easy and clear matter. As far as the staff goes, they all seem to be nice enough. It appears as if they've hired an entirely new crew of people, however, and it seems that some of them are learning the rules of their job. As is the case with all Target stores, the staff comes and goes, so I'm sure these people will learn their jobs well enough in a short amount of time. Overall, opening a Target on the hill is a great idea and I'm sure this store will be frequented by a lot of locals. read more

He helped me seamlessly switch to a regular usb iPhone charger after initially making the wrong purchase. I regrettably have to come to this target often, and the service is just not there. This young lady Celeste has a nasty attitude . There is no other word to use . I seen her in the cashier and is always bad attitude mad , answered with very confrontational behavior . Then I requested to speak to the manager and Nathan ( team leader ) cane and his excuse was " she was in her lunch " well she was walking she never told me I am on my break/ lunch. Unfortunately, I would agree with most of the recent reviews.It's too bad because it is a new store and ideally wants to build its customer base. In terms of customer service, this store has its work cut out for it. However, with one significant exception. I am balancing the unsatisfactory customer experience with the superior customer service of one supervisor, Andrew, whom I believe works the second shift. Andrew goes out of his way to accommodate the customers needs and concerns. i have experienced his support many times, whether a return, a price check, a delivery or hold order, or just feedback. He is very customer oriented and his customer service and support skills are outstanding. He's the good news there,. Hopefully, you'll find him when you need him. read more

This Target is new to the hill and is a great addition. Although it isn't a full Target they are carrying a lot of variety that makes it a great stop for picking up a few things. The store is doing a great job managing COVID - they immediately wiped down all touch services at checkout after you are done. read more

Ysenia and Stephanie are the staff at Starbucks in the Peninusla Center Target. They were very rude and most disrespectful. Ordering just a croissant and a cake pop for my son. I tried to order with my Starbucks App. She was no help. She gave me one word answers and attitude as I did not know that the Starbucks app was not going to work inside the Target Starbucks. She didn't ask if I wanted the croissant warmed or cold. I guess that's not in their job description. I wanted mine warm. No "Thank you" or "have a nice day" or "your order will be out shortly." I feel like I'm not even a customer. Once I paid I was told by Stephanie to step to the side where my order will be with the point of her finger. I proceeded to wait and when Ysenia was ready with my order she didn't even look at me or place it in my hand. She called out "croissant! And a cake pop!" And set the order on top of someone else's cold order of two Starbucks cups in a to-go carrier. I absolutely love this Target as I come here daily. But for my first time trying out its Starbucks. I recently purchased 6 gift cards from Target for Christmas gifts totaling $550.00. When the recipients proceeded to use them on the four target gift cards totaling $400.00 there was no monies placed on them, The two Visa Gift Cards which all were purchased November 29, 2022, visa cards were used on 12/6 and still in my possession and no monies were left on them. When I brought all my receipts to the Target in Rolling Hills Estates, CA where I purchased them they were very lax in helping me and I even spoke to a Manager. I have been trying to rectify this problem for 2 hours and still no results. There has been fraud on these cards. I cannot believe that Target will not rectify this problem. Unless you're in dire need of food or medical supplies, go down the hill to Torrance store. Carts were full of trash like used kleenex . Heading down the nail isle, a young, male employee crosses right our in front of me without missing a step. This same kid has done this to me before. I get 6-7 items and head to check out. The cashier, a young female, starts ringing me up. I hand her a Target gift card that had a little left on the balance. I told her I wasn't sure how much was on it She takes the card, scans it and hands it back to me with a register paper. I thought she was giving me my balance. I asked her what I still owed and she said," Your done!" No asking if I wanted a bag and forget about "Thanks" These two young people are really giving this Target a sour reputation. read more

I LOVE this target. Seriously, it's never crowded, parking easy, they have all the basics I need, and they are cheaper than the grocery store. Their curbside pick-up is amazing and easy. I don't know what all these negative reviewers are talking about. Please. I'm in there all the time and no employee issues. Pavilions is more expensive and full of crabby employees. Do they have everything a full-size target has? Of course not, but you have the necessities to avoid driving down the hill or maneuvering into Pavilions. I have been waiting very patiently for a target to open in this location due limited stores here in Rolling hills estates. Beautiful and very clean target location. Limited items bc they just opened. There's a Starbucks inside. I love the set up how when you first walk in, you see where everything is. Friendly workers as they greet you at the door and assist in helping you find your shopping items. They have the usual clothing, home/bedding, electronics, and food items as well as fresh produce. The seasonal items are towards the back of the store. They sell beer, wine, and hard liquor too. Overall, I'm very happy about this location. read more

Pleas learn proper customer service and make sure ALL staff member you are training know your rules and policies before just "saying" what they think is correct. Apparently the business allows all dogs, not just service animals even though food is sold. Dog was on a retractable leash running way ahead of its owner and nearly tripped me several times. Obviously this dog had very little training. Asked the employee about their dog policy and was told all dogs welcome. If this is a target policy, I will buy my food elsewhere. read more

The security guard at this place made me feel uncomfortable. I was standing in front of the video game section for about five minutes while pondering my long Christmas list. I was the epitome of minding my own business. I felt someone watching me. I turned around and there is a guy with a wannabe "high and tight" Marine haircut and a windbreaker jacket with block letters "SECURITY" on the back. He looked so dopey I thought he was lost, I initially didn't even believe he was an employee. He was giving me the creeps so I walked to the next isle. HE FOLLOWED ME. I straight out asked him "Can I help you?", and he responded "I'm on patrol" in a real cool menacing sort of way. Great, can you literally do it anywhere else?
