This Target is a concept store which is designed to be quick and easy to get your basic items. It is a smaller store so the inventory is a lot less. Depending on the individual, you may or may not find exactly what you would normally get at the usual (larger) Target stores. This store have your basic toiletries items, clothing section, electronics, groceries and essentials, but it is about half of the inventory you would find. Perhaps, these concept stores may just stock the more popular sellers and modern & trendy items as supposed to having a variety but this is just my guess. Also, you will find a CVS pharmacy section and a Starbucks at this location. The Starbucks is really nice here with plenty of seating, plug in outlets, and a wide window viewing of outside compared to the usual Targets. In fact, it seems like a good portion of the store is dedicated to Starbucks instead of more Target inventory which explains why there is so much seating. It maybe to attract the locals and students of Chapman University for a quick coffee run or meet.
Personally, I enjoyed shopping at this smaller store as it works for someone single or married, who lives on their own or with a roommate, or a college student. However, for a family, this store may not have the variety or it just may not be enough. It did seem like some sections have more items on sale compared to regular Targets, but that just may be what I was focused on that day. It was also pretty cool to see the employees' uniform had a more casual wear at this store perhaps because it's a concept store. The lighting in the store is really nice and bright and the store is very clean and organized.
Parking is a bit tight, but it is expected in a plaza with other businesses. Also, they have a few electric car charging stations which is pretty cool and convenient. Although, I have several large Targets near me, I think it would be nice to see more of these stores in other areas. It is a nice change from the usual go-to which adds to the list of "smaller and convenient type stores" but with a Target atmosphere, a grocery section, and a much better price than say Rite Aid or Walgreens. I call this a "it depends" store which it may be perfect for one person and it made not be for another. Oh... and I didn't see a dollar section. read more
