I suggest you do not place an order for pickup at this location. The wait is incredibly long, and you are not acknowledged when you arrive to pick up your order. I don't understand how difficult it is to run orders out at times when there's only a couple of cars outside waiting for curbside pickup. I love to love Target but this store missed the mark for me. The positives are that the store is super clean, well-staffed, and there were basically no other people there. Besides that, it was lackluster. I'm fairly simple and extremely routine in my weekly grocery/random item shopping. While I found the toiletries I was looking for, I was very underwhelmed with the grocery section. They didn't seem to even carry their own brand of frozen foods, which is a little odd and very annoying. This is probably the first time I've thought this but the store actually seemed over-staffed in relation to the number of customers there were. It was basically a 1:1 ratio, which seems off. Fortunately the store was pretty quiet because besides the self-checkout stations (which I love), there are very few cashier stands. If this was a busy night it would've been a nightmare. Manager and supervisors need to monitor as they don't stop talking to assist customers. This target used to be okay for a picking up something simple, but they have very low stock of everything. I won't be coming to this location anymore because there's always someone asking for money outside. I understand that's it's for charity and I've given multiples times. If they have what you want, it is fine. If they don't, well, there are plenty of other Targets around. I don't know if this is a one-off or a planned trend, but this is a much smaller store than I am used to from the chain. For the staples, including food items, it is fine, they will probably have whatever you are looking for. But if you things that take up a fair bit of room and don't move that often (books, videos, electronics, toys...) then you are going to be limited to only the top sellers in each category. As a side note, with an in-store Starbucks, there are now 6 Starbucks (at least) heading east from the Circle on Chapman to the Albertsons, a span of just a couple of miles. Worst place to buy electronics! Came in on 6/21 to purchase a GoPro7 black. Without thinking of looking at the actually camera that was sitting in the box I purchased it took it home. Right out the box the battery was dead so Took out the charger pluged it in and nothing just a beep. Started to look at the ports and realized they had sold me a gopro 5! In a gopro 7 black box! Brought it back not even 30 mins have passed since I bought it to get treated like a criminal from who im assuming is an assistant manager "Sarah" basically telling me that it was an AP issue and that I had to come back tomorrow! I wasn't looking for a refund but an exchange for what I had paid for! Also, I often order Target.com items to pick up in store (saves that shipping cost) and I chose this location for the first time a couple weeks ago. A mistake. The girl (a manager) walked to the back room and came back to look under the customer service desk's shelves (so cluttered under there!) and couldn't find a clothes item I ordered that had arrived A DAY AGO. So she had to cancel my order on the app, and said if/when they find it, they're call me. Would have sucked if I needed that dress for an event or specific date or something! It makes me sad to type this, but I have never experienced such terrible service from any Target. If you hate your job so much, you should try to apply to another place instead of just projecting that hate and disdain onto your guests. The lady who worked at the register rolled her eyes at an elderly man who was having trouble with the self check out. After, she came to help me check out. She proceeded to yell "SELF CHECK OUT IS OPEN", like she didn't want to personally help anyone who was in line. I had brought my own bag and she just scanned my items and left it all over the table instead of placing them in the bag. I don't mind putting my groceries in my own bag, but just her attitude and demeanor was so off putting. If you hate your job that much, at least act like a professional adult and try to fake being kind towards the guests. I have to say that this new target is very nice it way smaller than other targets but to me thats a good thing makes it easier to find stuff and quicker to check out as well !! The store is new so its very clean and well organized too !! The starbucks in the middle of the store is great lots of seating to enjoy your coffee and sit down and relax !! The staff at both the Target and Starbucks are new so you will need patients lol but they are very kind and helpful :)!! Mini Target! Mini Target! I love Target so its hard for me to give them anything less than a five start review. I had stopped by this Target a few days after they opened and had an enjoyable experience. I was able to find everything I need and checkout was a breeze. It is smaller than a normal Target so I imagine I might not always find what I need but it is on my way home from work making it easy to stop in for things I might need. They also have a Starbucks inside. They day I was there, the lights in the parking lot weren't working which was a little weird - but hopefully that i fixed now. Since the parking lot isn't the largest, I am most likely going to avoid this place during all the holiday craziness. read more

I always LOVE going to Target, especially this smaller one. Has a great layout and easy to navigate. But today, with COVID-19 outbreak I am not sure if it is me or shouldn't everyone wear masks in our present time in a store? I have been to several stores in OC and all require masks. I have to go to store for provisions, and I am higher risk as I have asthma. When I got there I stood in line. They required 6 feet separation which was good... but once in store... wow, about 25% of the folks did not wear a mask. I was scared and just about left... but instead I quickly got my things and got out of there. Target should require masks for everyone that comes in. Review is for Customer Service and Online Order/In-Store Pick-Up. Purchased online with pick up in store. Added an optional pick up person (full legal name & email address) Simple, right? She shows up at the store with email in hand & ID, but she is not given the purchase. In following up with the store, I was told that that the barcode and ID was not enough, and that she needed to give over my name. I don't know what was asked or how the conversation played out with my friend and the store... The store is saying that her name didn't match the order. After speaking with both parties, here's what I got: My friend is saying, "I'm here picking up for my friend. Here is the email I received from Target and my ID." Target customer service rep said that her name didn't match the order. Really, customer service? Please tell this isn't the first time that an optional pick up person has had to go through this. You could have looked at the email in detail. You could have asked would it be under a different name. You could have made this a better customer service experience. According to the Target email, all either of us had to do was bring the email with barcode and provide current ID that match. The one memorable moment that will stay with me when my call gets picked up in Customer Service, and I begin to explain my issue, the reps says oh and laughs a little bit before transferring to another rep. I was dissapointed with the size of this Target(it used to be a Ralphs) and, because of its miniscule design everything was very close together. There is NO dollar section whatsoever, just two tiny isles by one of the doors containing a bunch of overpriced junk. All of the different sections were tiny. I went opening weekend and it was very clean, not much excitement from any employees and the only celebratory aspect they had was a mediocre DJ. On top of that they have a rather large(for a Target) Starbucks, I really wish they went with the Target Cafe because the line for the expensive coffee is about 20 minutes long at any time of the day, I also just really loved the Icees. There was very VERY little Halloween merchandise but plenty of Christmas, in October.... The largest area seemed to be the "grocery" especially alcohol, I guess they're banking on that. read more

This store is great for what it is: a small-scale Target. It's one-stop shopping for essential groceries, toiletries, clothing (there's a disproportionately huge women's clothing section), toys, household items, etc. It's not a full Target, so the selection variety isn't always there (especially in the Dollar Spot and seasonal sections, which are tiny), but I've been surprised by how many things ARE there. Need a bedroom fan? Got it. Shoes for my preschooler? Check. Self-sealing envelopes? Sure. Need to grab a gift or a last-minute dinner ingredient? No problem. There's a LOT here for the size. There are also some gems if you check the clearance endcaps, which I suspect is because their inventory moves differently than the giant stores, and the Starbucks is an especially nice little oasis to do some work or relax with a friend. We live in this neighborhood and were thrilled to see a Target move in to the old Ralph's building. We loved our Ralph's and were sad when it closed, but disappointed it sat empty for four years! This slowly choked out most of the other small businesses in the center which was even more sad to watch. It is interesting to read so many negative reviews of this store and see what priorities some people have for this chain. This is a Mini Target which is a new concept from this company to compete with the on-line shopping "monsters" by putting their retail stores in smaller buildings in neighborhoods they might normally not be able to occupy. This seems smart to me as retailers are struggling now more than ever. We love the grocery section, the pharmacy, the electronics and household sections. I hope this store does well - for the center, the neighborhood, and the future of retail business. read more

My husband purchased a GoPro7. He got home tried to charge it and realized it wasn't charging. Why? Oh because a gopro5 was in the box. The box was well "resealed" to the point where he didn't realize the wrong camera was in the box. Not less than one hour later did we go back to try to EXCHANGE the wrong item for the correct one. Never have I been treated like a criminal, I would never expect to have to be so vigilant on something I'm buying what I thought was NEW from what I thought was a respectable place. Lesson learned. This is my local target and I have been shopping here since this store opened, It's small and convenient for a last minute items but ever since COVID -19 and their new store hours these there have been a few employees are so rude! Do Not shop here here if you need anything before they close, 10-15 minutes before they close you will have employees tell you numerous times we are closing soon and to go up up front with your items. One lady stopped me from going down an isle and told me to go up front and checkout....Of course I did as I was told but couldn't believe it! She was also telling security up front do not let anymore people in! No other target has done this so if this is new store policy then this is ridiculous. Still has a smallish grocery department and good wine department. It has a Starbucks that is nit crowded at all. I'm over the moon happy to have a Target with a huge parking lot. I like the concept of the mini-Target. I have only purchased groceries at this location so my review is limited to the mini-market. Here are some pros and cons. Pros: The prices are lower than the nearby Stater Brothers. Since it is a mini-market, some compromises had to be made on what items to inventory. Generally Target did a good job in deciding what to carry. Checkout is fast. Cons: I frequently find expired perishable items on the shelf, milk twice and meatballs once. Often items with an expiration date are within 2 days of expiration. While pricing is generally good, some items are tragically overpriced. Eggs and Guacamole mix are nearly twice as expensive as Stater Brothers. I debated the rating of two stars since there are significant positives. Expired meatballs are really scary, thus, two stars. read more

Today is the 28th of August and I just bought the $4 Darrell lea soft licorice and after opening it and trying one I realized it was much harder than usual. It hurt my teeth, and I checked the expiration.... it expired 2 weeks ago on the 14th... What if I get sick from this? I'm looking for my receipt now. The worst customer service I have encountered here. The sale associate by the name of Laura rolled her eyes at my husband and I while we were trying to dispute a return. The first time I came to return something, she automatically told me I needed a receipt when I purchased it on my target card. I know she could have looked up the item on my target credit card but refused to. I have returned a lot of items at a different target and never had an issue not having a receipt because they have always looked it up on my target card. The manager on duty by the name of Fernando wasn't any better. My husband called in to make sure if this is an issue and over the phone he said that yes the associate could have looked up the item with our target card. He even asked my husband what was the name of the person who I spoke to so that he can talk to her and retrain her. He then said that without a receipt maybe it's better if we go to the target we purchased at instead because we might not carry the item. My husband told him if we can find the receipt we will come back so that we can point her out. At that point if the policy is that if they don't carry it they can't do a return, he should have mentioned that to my husband but he didn't even say anything. We came back to this target thinking that we can probably return it since we now coming back with a receipt even if they don't have the product, but were we so wrong. Needless to say, the manager was as rude and unprofessional as Laura ( the sales associate that helped me). He was using the word Bro, dude, uncool, etc. he said it was on you "bro" for coming back here instead. At that point there was no point at talking to him. We asked for the store manager's name and left. We then called corporate and the person my husband spoke to said there is no policy for if the store does not carry it that they cannot do a return. We should be able to return at any target if it was purchased there. I'm hoping that corporate will have some disciplinary action taken to this target. They need to all be retrained!
