My husband was very uncomfortable in the small room with her and when he was done he said he literally felt a bit nauseous. Then, we shopped a bit and he was quoted a pretty expensive price for one pair of glasses- Later, oddly he ordered his glasses online from LensCrafters and paid less than he was quoted- much less. While I wish my vision insurance was better, I have had positive experiences at this Visionworks location with the customer service, glasses ordered, optometry appointments, and overall experience. I have found it easy to schedule appointments even for the next day to meet with the optometrist though it has been a bit annoying that the online system requires anything I sign online to be signed again in person. I recognize that this isn't specific to this Visionworks location but the entire system. The reminders online are helpful, and I typically find myself with a relatively short appointment to meet with the optometrist, who is very knowledgable, helpful, and caring (similar to his predecessors over the last 10+ years). I have had a number of questions about my insurance last year and again this year. I have found that by sitting down with one of the associates, I have been able to learn a lot about what my insurance provides (and doesn't provide). They have been patient with me last year and this year when I have asked questions when they could certainly have just passed me along to another associate. When I have been ready to find a pair of glasses, associates have been willing to team up to show me different pairs of glasses got try on and then to answer questions about frames and lens and any special requests from transition lens, flexible frames, no-scratch lens, and more. I have also learned from the associates that sometimes the available coupons are better than insurance. I was at Visionworks today and found that using my insurance or a 50% off coupon came out to only about a $20 difference. I found that I had recently received a 50% off coupons on frames/lens though just after leaving, I came across a 60% off coupon online. My last pair of glasses from a year ago just don't fit right. I have to have them very high on my nose to see out of the progressive section for reading. When I was there this week, I asked if they could be adjusted and was told that probably the measurements were done wrong when I purchased the glasses from them, and there probably isn't an adjustment that can be made. She didn't even look at the glasses to try to help. Instead she wanted me to buy a new pair because I'd just seen the doctor--who did not think I necessarily needed to get new glasses because my prescription had changed very little. All I want is personal customer service and feel that I and my money are valued enough to receive this.

Unfortunately, I learned that the staff member who could perform adjustments had already left for the day (at 6:00 p.m.) , making the trip unsuccessful. While the team was courteous and offered alternatives, including another location and returning the next day it was still disappointing to make a special trip based on the posted hours and be unable to receive the service I came for. My recommendation is to clearly communicate adjustment-service hours separately from store hours so customers can plan accordingly and avoid unnecessary trips. As a longtime customer, I hope this is something Warby Parker can improve moving forward.

I have not had the extensive eye exams that I have already undergone here, but at least they never used the machine to blow air into my eyes. My surgery is scheduled for about three weeks from now, but I already have all the information and medications that I need to proceed. I was thinking the Scottsdale office was far, but then I heard another patient say they came from much farther than I did. Knowing the distance some patients drive lets you know how great the treatment is.

Dr Welch took the time to explain what was going on with my eye and gave me the options and his opinion as to how to proceed. I felt comfortable with his explanation and would definitely trust his abilities if I decide to move forward. This is a very busy office and I had to wait a couple weeks to get in but I felt that it was run well and would feel good going back if I need to.

Don't Do It! Stay away from this place! I called the office 2.5 weeks after my exam and order date, after they took ALL my money for the glasses upfront. Linda is a major "B....", don't cross her or you'll quickly see that nice front she puts on disappear. My insurance company called them with a reasonable resolution for them to simply put the frames I ordered back into their inventory, after popping out the lenses I needed. So basically they would not be out any money. Linda and Dr. Hardin REFUSED to do this, like they were in some power struggle over the dispute and wouldn't let it go. So my insurance company, VSP, comped me my entire order, even gave me a new eye exam! Even they didn't want to send me back into their office! I'm so proud of VSP and can't thank them enough. They realized how unprofessional Linda was since she was completely unwilling to agree to simply put the frames I picked back into their inventory, no skin off their back at all. Oh no, they absolutely do NOT care about you or your return business. My husband needed new glasses too but after my experience he went over to 20/20 Eye Center in Fountain Hills, where we live, and ordered 3 THREE new pairs of eyewear. How do you like Linda?!! Think of all that money you could have screwed us out of. Linda even refused to give me my exam results when I asked for them. She said oh no you don't get those until after you pick your glasses up. I'm like, why not? It's my information. Oh no, not gonna happen on Linda's watch because she said so. My insurance rep was so great to comp me my entire experience at Eyes on the Avenue. He realized that Linda was completely unreasonable. He told me that he asked that when they receive my glasses to donate them to a good cause. Oh I just bet Linda and Dr. Hardin have soooooo much integrity that they will promptly donate them. NOT... I bet if I go in there they'll have my frames on the shelf again for resale. These two women deserve each other, what a bunch of life long loser's. What goes around comes around girls. I doubt they can remain in business when they treat their customers and the very insurance companies they contract with with such disregard. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!
