She wanted and asked for written proof or she had to charge me. I paid the fee and went home, verified I had coverage, and called back. I was told I already paid and that was that. I called my provider who called them to tell them I was covered and to bill them. When I called back, I was told I would not get a refund unless they were paid in 3-4 weeks. I was telling this to the place I went to get my glasses from who verified my coverage from the card, and they thought it was crazy. Our consensus was incompetent or lazy; I am going with both.

Not only that, but they handled the insurance and they were so friendly and helpful. Seriously the best service and kindest people ever. Highly recommend! Will definitely be back whenever we need glasses -- and I'm telling all my family and friends about this place too!

I am SO GLAD I came to this location. They actually know what customer service is and went BEYOND! Thank you

My son is transitioning out of pediatric care. We were referred to this location by his pediatric…read moreophthalmologist. We couldn't be more pleased with the whole experience. The location is central and parking was plentiful and convenient. Check in process was easy. Front desk staff was pleasant and welcoming. The assisting staff was friendly and explained the initial examination thoroughly. Great communication. She also informed us of waiver and options for dilation. Dr. Cason was very pleasant. He explained everything that was going on and spoke to my son directly. He was also accommodating and assuring to the concerns of anxiety. We appreciate his gentleness and willingness to take time. We did not feel rushed at all. He paused for questions. So, this was a very good interaction. The clinic itself was modern and clean with vibrant colors and decor. I loved the curved white couches. There were also normal chairs as well. Plenty of seating. Horizon Eye Specialists will be the ophthalmology care for our family.

I had a very disappointing experience with Horizon Eye Specialists. Not only are their glasses…read moreprices extremely high compared to other places, but I was also shocked by the cost of the eye exam. I was charged $174.00, which is far more than I've ever paid before, typically, my exams have been around $65. As a senior citizen living on Social Security and Medicare, these kinds of unexpected and excessive charges are especially difficult to manage. There was no clear explanation for the inflated pricing, and I left feeling like I was being taken advantage of. For something as routine as an eye exam and glasses, this level of cost feels unreasonable. I will definitely be sharing my experience with friends at my senior center so they can be aware. I would not recommend this place if you're looking for fair and transparent pricing. Serena, the manager at the Goodyear location, just called me. She explained that the charge for 104.00 was for my Medicare deductible. She said she would double check the charge for me and that in the future she would tell her staff to better explain the charges. I am very impressed that she took the time to address my concerns. I will amend my post. I am happy with my glasses and my eye exam was very thorough and the doctor was very nice.

Extremely disappointing experience at Southwestern Eye Center…read more I waited over 45 minutes past my appointment time without a single apology or any real explanation. Every time I asked what was going on, I was told "5 more minutes"--over and over again. Those 5 minutes turned into nearly an hour. What made it worse was the lack of basic courtesy and communication. No one came to update me, no one acknowledged the delay, and no effort was made to respect my time. If you're running behind, the least you can do is be honest and apologize. Patients plan their day around appointments, and this kind of service is unacceptable for a medical office. I would not recommend this place if you value your time or expect professional treatment.
