Who doesn't love Tar-jay!?! You can count on them being open New Year's Day. Sure they might not have the brand of honey you prefer, but they have honey! Maybe they don't have the depth and variety of Healthy Choice Steamers frozen entrees, but they've got some! They have the basic groceries plus all the home goods you desire. Target gives the 5% discount if you have their Target card, but you can also get a lot if extra discounts using formerly Cartwheel now called Target Circle offers. Scan items before you get there or during your shopping for extra discounts. I enjoy just walking around Target to see what's new. You never know what you may "need!" read more

First of all, cashier's are too slow and in addition the self-service check out are not available most the time. I can't find things I needed, shelves don't have enough products and prices are very expensive in comparison with other retailers. Not enough employees if you need assistance. And usually they ( the employees) don't look happy, they look tired and their "thanks" words sounds robotic and forced. Bathrooms dirty and smells. Starbucks area once served me cold coffee that supposed to be hot, they responded that was an issue with the machine. In addition there is no place to seat at that Starbucks in that location! And at kids area there is not seats available in this specific store but there is seat available at kids area at other Target stores , except this one. Some shop carts semmed defected, the wheels makes irritating noise and are hard to move. But they still keep those there. In short, seem stressed to shop there. I don't recommend it. read more

This is the nearest target to where I stayed in the area when I was out here last. It was pretty busy and messy. Honestly a bit dirty and smelly. I'm sure it has to do with the customers as well and not just the employees. It is not my preferred Target; I just needed to pick up a few thigs as my little one had an emergency and we had to pick up a t-shirt and pants. I can't say much for the associates as I didn't ask for help, I just looked around for what I needed. To top it off parking was crazy and there were dirty diapers on the floor and throw up which was so gross. We won't be coming back here at all. read more

Self checkout is ALWAYS closed and it take 20 min standing in line to buy one simple item. OPEN THE SELF CHECKOUT!! We have sh*t to do

The first thing I noticed was the cleanliness of the store. Kudos to the manager. Especially the men's restroom. Saw a staff member with a cleaning cart in the process. Very impressive! Haven't seen this in any of my local stores. Not nice. But we also found some hard to find items. Pretty cool! We'll be back read more

This Target is a typical Target with the same items within that you would expect from all Targets. This store was a little busy than most that I have been too. There is lots of parking available. The employees within the store are courteous and helpful. I had trouble finding the men's fitting rooms and an employee was happy to helped me with friendly directions. The store is in the large side which means there will be a lot of walking if you are not familiar with where things are that you are looking to buy. In my case, it wasn't, so I did peruse the entire store, which I enjoyed. read more

Target - Awesome, I can sit down and Yelp while my son is trying outfits on. - Department Stores Near Me - Oceanside, California

Target is always messing with my emotions. It's a place the varies in service and speed by the hour. This Target is located in the absolute worst area for traffic. The intersections are short and poorly timed and so getting in can take a long time depending on the 78E on ramp, and I am not incredibly patient. I've had days were lines are short and moving quickly and days where I've stood for 15 minutes waiting for WIC vouchers to be handled as I stand endlessly wishing I could switch to another line. As a company, I can get behind many of Target's ideals and I respect some of the decisions they've stood behind so I'm all for it. This is definitely my go to Target for convenience and location, but we'll always have a rocky relationship depending on how crazy and annoying the customer base is at that moment. read more

Great Selection Flew out to San Diego and drove up to Carlsbad for a reunion with my Daughter and her Family and to celebrate my Grandson's 10th birthday. In the course our (Grandson and Grandfather) he showed me his Pokemon collection one by one and he was very proud of what he had and he had several hundred cards. Asked him where the best places locally to buy these cards and he said that there had been some specialty shops that had closed but that Target carried them as well. On the second day, we made a slight detour to this Target in Oceanside. We found the Pokemon section and he picked out two selections of cards. In the car ride back, he got very excited because one pack had six cards he did not previously have and the second pack had a very rare card. What does all this mean? I don't have a clue except that it made a young man very happy on his 10th Birthday. That said, it is obvious that he store has a good selection of merchandise Check out was easy but at the same time, at no time in our shopping did anyone offer assistance. Store is nice and clean and very good except for the customer service aspect of offering assistance read more

Standing in line to use self check out and two security guards walk out the office by the entrance and stand by the sco area laughing and talking to each other. This older lady was ready to leave so we could check out and she starts looking all over for a receipt. Im looking at the screen and she didnt even finish paying, her total $78 was still showing up. She walks out RIGHT BY THE SECURITY GUARDS who were laughing and joking. Quite interesting because nobody noticed but me. I believe the lady knew what she was doing and walked out regardless. What is going on with checking out at Target??? They had all the self check out closed and the lines were super long. I was in line for a couple of minutes and the cashier comes all the way over to me to tell me that she was closed. I then got into a longer line and people then got into her line and she didn't tell them that she was closed. Then, they opened self checkout and I got out of my line and as I entered self checkout an employee told me only 10 items. I checked out ten items and left my entire cart there and left. Target lost probably 200 dollar sale and actually stuff I really didn't need.......thanks Target!!! read more

Target- still hold the belief that it's better than Walmart. Throughout the years, it has gotten more crowded. They have done some changes to the parking lot but getting outta there sometimes can be a hassle. I tend to only come here for household items I do not wish to buy in bulk (otherwise I'd go to Costco). I do also enjoy getting non-dairy ice cream, drinks, non-dairy milk, and vegan friendly frozen food items. Lines can be long and they have installed self-checkouts but those machines can be an inconvenience (items don't detect item, no coupons accepted, no cash, etc). They do have some nice sales so be on the lookout and use your Cartwheel app when you can. read more

If you've been to a Target store, they're all pretty much the same. They have similar layouts, products and style. But what is the one thing that can differentiate a store from another store? Customer service. So far, this one had one of the best customer service that we experienced. As soon as we stepped in, there was an employee who happily greeted us. I thought it was a bit overboard but I quickly realized she was sincere. She was definitely enthusiastic about her job since she gladly and merrily assisted us navigate the store with our inquiries. She pointed us in the right directions and answered our questions. Geesh, I usually don't get this kind of service. Usually, as soon I step in a store, someone goes on the PA system and announce for security to walk the floors. read more

I like this Target but there's nothing really special about it but that's okay because it's still a Target. I'm glad that the parking lot construction is done and the parking lot looks a lot better. This is not a Super Target but it gets the job done for me. I do shop at Walmart for outdoor supplies like ammo, knives and so on. The quality of merchandise at Target is way better and you most likely wouldn't see anyone wearing their pajamas. Target also carries a lot of brands that Walmart doesn't, like one of my favorite cleaning brands which is Method. Which has hand soap, bath cleaner, laundry detergent and so on. This may not be the best Target but because it's the only one around it will have to work. read more

I don't really know how price match works, some Target I showed them a picture of the item with the lesser price, and they just matched the price for me no question asked, some Target when I did it, the employees seems to think that I lied and cheated, so they did their own research and if they couldn't find it on their own, they told me they could not do it for me, so I ended up shopping at Ross for the item I wanted it because the phone cases here were too expensive and I knew how long those would last, but they didn't understand that. read more

Probably the worst experience I've ever had at target. All of these store workers were completely silent. They don't greet or ask to help you out. The entire clothing section is so disorganized and messy. They do not update any of their sizes so the only available items are XS or XL. I walked to a register to start checking things out and the cashier doesn't acknowledge me. I set my reusable bags at the front of the belt and they just stop bagging things? As soon as I paid, the man walked away and I was left to bag all of my items. It's just kind of a ridiculous experience if I'm gonna pay $200 every time for the basic necessities. The least you can do is say hi or maybe just bag my groceries. Isn't that your job? read more

Do not waste the next 2 hours of your life as I have just done. I had a target gift card that had 25 on it, and had to make an email address change-all other acct info stayed the same. Since I was unable to decipher the heavy accent of the person who answered the phone I asked to be transferred to someone else. She said she was not allowed to transfer me to an English speaker. It only went downhill from there and I won't bother you with the details except to say I will be shopping elsewhere from now on and cancelled the present order. Absolutely awful customer service-if I could give it a zero I would. A recent hospitalization has made it impossible to run simple errands so I will be spending the next few hours checking out options for seniors. Hope your experience is better than mine!! read more

I think that this business is great and I hop to come more often plus they have everything i need when I need it

I have been shopping at their location for at least a decade! It's a nice Target. More recently I've noticed everything being in stock when you need it! The store is usually clean inside and out. The bathrooms are kept clean for the most part. It's hard find people on the floor to help you, but when you do it's a gamble! One person will say nope don't have any in the back, ask someone else and they actually go find it for you! The only thing that I think is bad about this location is that they are throwing the perishable and frozen loads on a Sunday morning when the store is open and getting busy. That's my biggist complaint, so not bad! read more

So impressed with this new Target!!! I'm really not a Target shopper, I'm more of a Walmart shopper, but I do go to Target from time to time... And this renovation is unbelievable! It looks like a Crate & Barrel or some high-end Mall shop nothing like the Target that I expect. With the new Starbucks and the redesign with location of all the items in the store it was interesting to find the shoe department but hey I did it. Parking lot is still frustrating and baffles me to this day I don't understand why there's not an "exit Lane" but whatever. The store itself was gorgeous and the entire complex that is in is really getting an amazing makeover. This particular visit made me want to come to the Target more often and I just might do that! read more

Incompetent managers that couldn't do a return but great associates who figured their shit out for them.

This one is for sure my favorite store of them all. It's clean, it's newer and always stock when I shop! I already enjoy target but this one is just nicely spaced too. People are friendly and I just love shopping here. It is a bit hidden, however, parking is plenty. read more

This target is always clean, and now that they have certain regulations for sanitizing, there is a specific person for cleaning the self serve check out, and the carts after each use. This store is bright and inviting. The cashiers are always pleasant to interact with. Returns are easy. This location has a Starbucks in it as well, but am unsure as to when it will re open. read more

Customer service was OK and it was a standard Target experience. My lower than usual rating was the hygiene in the bathroom. The worst target bathroom I have ever seen. The floor was soaked in urine which was being tracked by everyone out into the store. You could see feces on the floor as well. There is no way any store manager who cares about their reputation would allow this. If I was an employee would I wash my hands in there---probably not. But I will go and work in the food court or grocery. You get my point, this is how you get people really sick. I am sure Target corp. cares about this and will take care of it. read more

Jayden is amazing!! he is such a team player, my husband and i came in tonight and there was the longest line ever and only one cashier with the self check out closed. he helped his coworker out, dealt with a karen who didn't understand his lane closed after us because she was "already there" and managed to remain positive and helpful the whole time and even reopened his lane when the line eventually got huge again. give this man a raise lol. read more

The store - 3*s The store is fine. It's not anything spectacular. It's just a regular okayish Target. Their selection isn't huge, but it usually has whatever it is I'm looking for. It's decently clean. Organized well enough but frequently in mild disarray. Y'know, all together it's good enough. Starbucks - 1* I don't know why I continue to go here when I can go across the parking lot to a real Starbucks. The convenience, I guess? I don't know. Either way, I've had problem after problem here. Drinks made incorrectly, espresso tasting burnt, waiting in long lines to find out the espresso machine is down and they haven't bothered to put up a sign, etc. Today I ordered a caramel brulee latte and I don't know what they gave me, but it definitely isn't what I ordered. It tastes like reheated coffee with regular - not steamed - milk. It's really disappointing. And, yes, I could get in my car and take it back, but who wants to go through that hassle? In any case, after today, I'm swearing off their Starbucks for good. It's not worth the slight convenience - I'll just go across the parking lot to the Starbucks that has always given me stellar drinks. read more

Used the curb side pickup for the first time here and it is excellent. Did not request curbside pickup until I arrived at the store, and despite the last minute switch, the items arrived at my care in exactly 4 minutes. Very impressed and also have to add this is one of the cleanest stores as well both inside and out. read more

This Target is overall pretty solid. There's a hot dog/elote guy in front too. They closed all the self checkout lines so there were long checkout lines, so then they decided to open the self checkout lines. Why did they even close them?! I got a pair of cute socks but then discovered at checkout that it was just a single sock...so then I had to go back and get a real pair. read more

A cashier was very condescending to me when I was buying wine. I came here to buy some limited edition wine for my moms birthday, since she LOVES it and this was the only store nearby selling it. I understand I look young (I'm 22) so I always have my ID out and hand it to the cashiers before they ask. I did the same to this cashier, and she looked over my ID for 15 seconds and kept looking up at me. She finally said "you look REALLY young to be buying alcohol." in a very pointed way implying my ID was fake. She finally scanned my ID and handed it back to me. Then she asked me, "you throwing a party?" since I was buying six bottles. I explained that no, it was a birthday present for my mom and this was the only place I could find selling them AND they were sold out online. She scanned my bottles and I paid. As I was putting my bottles in my cart, she says "I hope you're not planning to drink these all tonight." Excuse me?? I wish I would've said something to her but I walked away. I felt SO embarrassed because she did this in front of a line of customers, and was so so rude/condescending the entire time. I was just trying to stock up since these were limited edition. I was so excited to give them to my mom and this interaction took away some of my excitement. I completely understand wanting to looking out for fake IDs, but there was no reason to make those comments and act so rude. Maybe she was trying to joke with me, but she was very monotone and did not smile at all. If I ever come back here I will not be buying alcohol so I can stay away from her. read more

Thank you Hector! You are the real MVP You helped us with a bike for my daughters bday.

Great experience. The store associates were helpful the store was clean. And I actually went in for one thing and for three

I know it isn't easy these days, especially during covid. They were out of stock and associate named Elma went out of her way to get me the product I was looking for and I don't even think it was her department. It's when places like these work as a team to help their customers is why I keep coming back to Target. Thanks Elma, and Target, for doing your best. read more

I'm not exactly sure why this particular location for Target has such a low star rating. True, it may not be in one of the most convenient locations in town, and there have been a large number of new businesses that have turned the parking lot into a virtual nightmare when it comes to navigation, but I still remember this location when it was one of the closest Target stores in town, and have remained a loyal customer even through all of the growth, demolition and creation of new businesses around the surrounding area. The demolition has been an inconvenience, because it's made the entire parking lot a little difficult to navigate, but the main problem is simply that they did not plan for enough outlets to get out of the lot itself when they were expanding the area. I cannot see how this is the fault of the store, rather, I see it as an error in judgment on behalf of whoever planned the new design for the parking lot to begin with. In my experience over the years with this particular location, the store has always been clean, well stocked, and full of courteous and helpful staff members. The addition of the self checkout lines has also improved the shopping experience greatly in my opinion. I've never had a bad experience in all of my years shopping at this location, and I'm actually happy to see that they're adding some new businesses and building the area up. It's a nice alternative to the gigantic mall across the freeway, that's for sure! I would take this location over most of the others in the local area any day of the week. Stores do not always have to be new and flashy in order for them to be good places to shop. Target has some of the best prices around, they treat their staff and pay them far more humanely than Walmart (their item quality is much better too!), and this particular location is one of my favorites to shop at. The only thing I would change - if I were forced to make a decision to change anything - would be to make this location a 24 hour Target instead of having it close at a certain time (the CVS down the street is open 24 hours, so it would make sense!). Other than that, this is one of my favorite target locations in the entire city, and I'm a bit sad to see so many harsh reviews of it. read more

What is not love about Target? It is one of those stores where you walk out with over $100 worth of items?!? Now, that is marketing! This is my favorite Target location. Love coming to Target even if it's just too look! It's pretty great! I don't really have any complains this trip around but the clearance section in the women's clothing sections ...it's always a mess! I know tons of people are here going through the clothing and I know the workers are busy but every 3 hours or so ..some one should be just walking by picking of all the clothing that's on the floor. Target - Lights - Department Stores Near Me - Oceanside, California

I've always been a fan of Target over Walmart, in fact, I hardly ever go to Walmart unless it's very very necessary. In fact, there's a Super Target by my house that I'm at just about every week. When I couldn't find the Disney Elsa Doll (the non-singing one) to put in a cake for my daughter's birthday, I checked online and it says that this store had some, so I drove here (I work in the area) after work. I went to the aisle and of course they didn't have any. Frustrated after driving around to so many Targets and with the website claiming the stores have them, I went to an associate to have them help me. An older gentleman in Electronics helped me and looked it up on the computer showing that they have 11. So he called the back room and of course, they couldn't find any. Right when I was about to give up, he said "do you want me to call another store for you to check?" and I said "no, it's going to show on the computer that they have it and end up not having any" and he said "no, I'll have them manually look for it" and I said "ok, worth a shot" and so he called the Vista South store and they had it. He asked them to reserve one for me at Guest Services and i drove there the same day to get it. I am thrilled that this older gentleman offered such great customer service and wished I got his name. I even went online to praise him on target.com, hopefully they see that and figure out who was working in Electronics yesterday to figure out who he is and reward him with Employee of the Month or something! I'm thrilled! Thanks, Target! read more

Really one of the worst Targets I have been to. The layout is horrible, it has no flow to it, no rhyme or reason, set up very different from any other location making it a hassle to find stuff and unnessassary walking back and forth.
