I don't usually head to this Target because it isn't that close to me AND I can't stand their parking lot. Well, it's not really the construction of the parking lot, but the fact that the people driving in and out of it don't know how to. I had picked up some things at another Target the other day and decided to return them on the way home if things weren't too hectic on this Black Friday. Once again, my Doris Day-ness snagged me a spot in front and I went in to return. There was only one person being attended to and she was finishing her transaction. She scanned my items and my receipt and didn't even need my card. SWEET! And this is where things went wrong/right? I don't even know. I found a few sweaters for myself. Then I decided to take a gander at the toy section, which was amazingly clean. I found toys for my small cousins and for the kids of some friends. I figured I better get some wrapping paper for their gifts. While there, I ended up buying a mini-Christmas tree and mini-ornaments. Then I realized that I should pick up some of the utensils and plates for my upcoming barbecue. After almost $200 later the guy at the door checking my receipt asks, "Did you find everything okay?" I looked at him and said, "Yes, too well. I came to return something." He laughed and handed me back my receipt while telling me, "Well, you did well." i come into here quite often, and today i was on my 30 minute break and all the registers were broken causing long lines and the self checkout to get super crowded stood around for like 25 minutes and just gave up, i wish there was more communication between the customers and employees. read more

So imagine this it's a Saturday night, the night before Easter Sunday and it's during this Coronavirus pandemic so they are limiting people from going in it's 745 pm at night and we don't get let in till 825 because the store closes at 9. We are finally left in grabbed what we needed and start waiting in line. I load up the items and Christian is scanning them it's time to pay and my RedCard isn't working for some reason, then the register starts to not work and they can't fix it so we go to the next register and have to rescan everything. At this point other customers are giving me looks because I'm taking too long for their comfort, Christian though as I'm apologizing for my problematic card and making his night harder he just simply reassures me it's ok this happens and don't worry about the other customers, he sends them to another register that way I won't get the looming glares and I can still feel comfortable with my experience at target. He also decides to add a 10% off just for having this trouble with the registers and my red card, we finally ring everything up again and are able to complete my transaction. I just wanted to say thank you to CHRISTIAN for helping me out, making me feel ok and just being a nice person and knowing how to treat people. He could've been annoyed or not talkative and comforting since it was a Saturday night at 9 pm now and he still had another 2 hours of work to go, but instead of letting that get to him he still was a nice conversation and a great experience at target so thank you, it doesn't take much to make a good experience at target when you have people like Christian so thank you. read more

Best target in the area! They manage their inventory really well, the employees are knowledgeable. They are very quick with their pickup orders. I've been coming here for years and any time I have tried another target in the area I get frustrated because they don't have the things that Norwalk has. read more

Lanes are too long, baskets don't roll well, and frequently not sorted with lots of products I purchase. It's my closest target so I hope it improves. My rating will improve as their customer service improves. I shouldn't wait 8 minutes in a long line. read more

This review is actually for the starbucks that they added. i wish i could separate the two reviews. I paid almost $4.00 for a venti iced green tea!!!!! for some reason this store is charging $3.45+tax for green tea. BUT if you order a passion tea or black tea you get to pay the regular 2.45 (which is what i'm normally used to paying). When i asked the guy why it was so much after studying the menu pricing his response is...."green tea is more expensive." Me: "oh really, why isn't that on the menu." him: "well when i push the button on the register (because that's how smart he is) it charges 3.45 plus tax." me: why is there tax? him: target charges the tax. THIS IS B*S!!!!!!! i will NEVER return to this starbucks for $4.00 ice tea. and better believe i complained to corporate starbucks to fix this! as for as the target store itself, i actually really like this store. it's easy to access coming from work off the 605 freeway. and it's easy to jump back on the freeway and continue my drive home. the store is clean and easy to navigate. read more

I don't usually give such harsh reviews but this Target sucks now. I grew up in Downey and have had nothing but good experiences in the past. But these past few years this Target has gone down. Their customer service is really crappy and the place is really dirty. The shoes section is always a hot mess with things thrown all over. It's like this EVERY time I go so it seems no one does anything to organize or pick up. There is no one ever on the floor to help you, stuff is always unorganized, and the staff is very rude. read more

This is one of the best targets ever! They don't have the target cafe anymore, but they have Pizza Hut and Starbucks. There's another Starbucks across the plaza next to Office Depot, though. So I kind of wish it was a Peet's or coffee bean. read more

I think the Target chain is great! But we had a gross out experience at this Target. The store is much like any other Target except for one crucial visit. When we were there yesterday they had a plumbing problem. And by "plumbing problem" I mean they had poop water seeping through the floors into their store. YES! POOP WATER. They had to block off aisles (food aisles no less) with shopping carts so people wouldn't go wading through the POOP WATER! It was coming up from their dining area as well. It was gross! And they weren't even trying to shut down the store. It was business as usual as they tried to clean up the POOP WATER! Did I say POOP WATER enough times yet? I'll probably shop there again, but I probably won't be buying food there for a while. read more

Target is not half as evil as walmart....that's why I come here and spend the few extra dollars than I would be saving at walmart! Everyone likes to park by the Firestone side of the parking lot but it's always hard to find a spot there. The trick is to go all the way by the entrance to the actual store which is deep into the parking lot by the gate next to the railroad tracks and there is always parking there. It's actually better since you walk less to get into the store. I love the fact they usually have enough cash registers open. I have rarely had to wait much here. You can get just about anything at Target! The quality may not be as great as at other places for furniture or other household items for example, but cleaning goods, kitchenware, school goods and toys, to name a few things are at great prices here and they have a great selection. No complaints really. I like coming here and the store isn't messy either. target is a good company to work for and I respect them for that. I was actually an assets protection employee for a while. I ordered a call of duty video game for my nephew. I ended up finding out he was getting gifted the came from someone else, so I decided to return the game. Literally opened the package in front of the customer service representative and I am being told my receipt doesn't have the same information as my game. That the game I have actually cost more than what I paid which isn't my problem. Target made a mistake and now refuses to fix the error. To make matter worst like any in my situation a customer in my predicament would be irritated the lady who says she is the manager Carly was being rude and condescending towards me. Making me feel like I'm lying or making it up that I bought the game but you know I'm black so of Course it can't be targets fault. I can always file a Dispute with my credit card company but I don't like the way I was treated and talked to especially when it wasn't my fault. This was my first time here and the crowds were not in sight esp being that its after Christmas. There were not to many sales going on at target(which was a bummer) but I still managed to get somethings. There was hardly anything on the shelves but I will credit that to the holiday shoppers. The employees were not friendly at all but I did run across a rare gem, her name was chelsea and she worked the fitting room. She was so polite and pleasant and she greeted everyone with a smile. My favorite area is the makeup section and I was more than surprise to see almost everything was stocked. However, I couldn't find anyone to assist me with retrieving some skincare products that happened to be locked up. I used the little red phone but guess what!!! Yep you got it right, it was broken smh. Nonetheless, I love target you can definitely spend more than you plan, I will definitely do another review on this location another time to compare and contrast my visit. read more

The cashier tonight was rude as fuck she smiled once and didn't say a word. Didn't even tell me the total just POINTED at the monitor and turned her back to me while I paid. She handed me the receipt and said nothing not even thank you. I just looked at her and she kind of waved at me which was weird. I'm serious not one word I said hi and she didn't greet me back. Idk how she got hired if she can't even speak. Maybe basic human interaction isnt required anymore to work in customer service. Or idk maybe she has a speech impediment?? There are tons of cars driving, people walking, and just straight madness. Oddly enough this location usually has items that I cannot find at other locations, BUT I hate the parking! I LOVE TARGET, but I love, love, love this Target. I know there are nicer Targets elsewhere but this is the nicest closest to me. It can be crowded at times but the crowds are decent and not as ghetto as the other Target on Firestone Blvd. The parking lot is a mess and the format is weird, I rather make a left when I enter and drive towards the Starbucks and park, rather than park anywhere near the front of the store - there's always a car that stops and blocks traffic. I do hate the petitioners outside, they always bother customers to sign their clipboard. Some may not mind but I do, I've ran into a few that do not like my "no thanks." Luckily, this year a food section was added so one can shop for groceries while shopping for other items. There cab be some great deals on groceries but sometimes the prices can be better at a local supermarket. read more

Stopped by a slow day at the Pizza Hut kiosk for some pizza. Two workers in slow motion and a dirty eating area. Wish someone would clean up some. Is it the responsibility of Pizza Hut or Target to keep this place clean. Regardless, there is room for improvement. One might suggest that Target is not an ideal place for pizza consumption. However, the three workers that work there that I don't see anymore but one made my day so good when I was there they made it so much better they tend to my needs they found everything I needed and with all in all they are wonderful people and great customer service just those three people I remember one of their names and her name is KAT. She is a wonderful customer service representative she represents where she works kindly and respectfully and she helped me through a lot of things stuff that I needed for the house stuff that I wanted to know about the red card and other enquiries I had she was very very wonderful so that's why I give five star rating to her!!! It's my local target. I go there all the time. This time, I went there to buy three particular things: Mexican fresh cheese, dry dog food by blue and brownies. I did not find any. Brownies were missing, dog food was just one bag that was cut open and no cheese. This made me feel helpless and useless. I only wasted time. read more

you can't lose when you go to Target. How can you beat a store that has everything! I also recently when to see an eye doctor and got my eyeglass prescription over the weekend! There is a difference in the many targets that I have been to. The one in Norwalk off of Firestone has to be one of the best ones that I have been to. It is clean, it is always well stocked, the employees are always so nice (The actually say hi when you get up to the cash register- that is one of my pet p[peeves when cashiers don't acknowledge you when you step up to purchase your items) I gotta say that that the optometrist at this Norwalk location is great. The women at the Target Optometry were very friendly and always willing to help. It also helped that they said that I looked good in every pair of frames that I put on. I knew it couldn't be true, but hey it was nice to say that I looked fabulous! The eye doctor..Dr. Lee was very professional and gave me some great advice on how to take care of my eyes. He wasn't trying to get my money and overcharge me for 4 pairs of frames that I needed for every part of the day. It was a very pleasant experience and would recommend to come here if you ever need to purchase a pair of glasses or to get your annual eye exam. The only downside is that it was considered "out of network" so I had to fork out a little more than I wanted. read more

They have everything a Target needs. Plus a Starbucks inside (even tho there's another Starbucks literally across the parking lot) and a cafe. There are just a few particular things I hate about this location that makes coming here a drag. The clientele: Most of the customers here are very annoying and will crash into you with their carts without even thinking. They like to take up the aisle space and won't move unless you speak up even though you are obviously trying to pass through. I know this isn't target's fault. But ive been to plenty of other targets and this has horrible clientele. Yes there's ALWAYS homeless people hanging around here 24/7. It has a huge parking lot. I've learned to avoid parking closest to the entrance because the spaces are tight, theres usually no parking, inconsiderate drivers, and pedestrians. I only come here when i dont feel like driving to lakewood. read more

Awesome service at this store! Everyone is so helpful and the cashiers are extremely friendly. I will keep returning to this store because of the good service that they provide. My and my moms experience with this particular location was interesting to say the least I noticed that my mother was perplexed and befuddled on what gifts to get two little girls 1st around 5yrs 2nd 2 and below so I rode around the corner and saw 2 very hardworking people who were doing their jobs but I needed the very nice experience and beautiful girl worker for a better perspective and insight on the matter of course she help us the best way she could and we got our items and just because of Christina we will be back soon and ready to buy more. read more
