A Target store that can remind you of a school classroom. A school classroom that will have 25 benches and 75 students but for all that one teacher in the center. A store that has a humongous parking and store space, large variety of items that are stocked, other amenities that include CVS, Starbucks and a Pizza Hut but only two cashiers at the checkout registers??? There's not even a single self checkout lane. That's some serious disproportionate ratio in a scale. We have never had issues getting the items we've come looking for and even getting things that were unplanned. They have a lovely collection of everything and the returns process also happens seamless. The only sour point as I mentioned already is the scant number of cashiers staffed as there's always a waiting line anytime you shop and that sucks!

I went out of my way to come to this Target because they had an item available for pick up that I wanted. The store is big, the set up reminds me of the Target in Watchung. There are no self-checkout registers which I didn't like. There were barely any cashiers but it wasn't too busy when I went so the wait was not too long. They had a decent amount of cleaning products that are hard to find like Lysol all purpose spray and Clorox bleach spray. There was a good amount of Lysol disinfectant spray which I have not been able to find at all. The limit was one per person. In the future if I need a specific item for pick up I would return otherwise I wouldn't go out of my way.

Asked for no ice, they didn't fill it to the top. That is a first

This review is for the STARBUCKS inside this Target at North Brunswick, NJ. I always order my drinks with no ice so I can get the most of what I pay for. Have you ever noticed how much ice they put in these drinks? Thus giving you very little. I like to add my own ice when I get home. See picture attached on the Pink Drink I ordered without ice. They did not fill it up to the top. What the F@CK??? I asked about it and the girl said...I have to do that if you ask for no ice. THAT IS A FIRST!!! Not coming to this Starbucks again.

I was at the hotel just across the parking lot from this Target store, so at least for this trip, it was the most convenient Target store. Can't comment much on the availability of goods at this store because I went directly to what I needed and everything I wanted was where I expected to find it. (I guess that was one for the plus column.) The Target phone app makes the process of checking for prices and discounts consistent across all Target stores so I don't bother to rate Target stores by the availability of shelf tags and price checkers any more. Service was good and the employees actually offered help without my having to ask. The only thing that seemed lacking at this Target store was there aren't any self-checkout stations. Come on, man! All the Target stores in my area have self-checkout.

    Long check out lines

This North Brunswick store has employees all over the store to help you, but the store is very outdated, and is in desperate need of a renovation. There's no self checkouts, so I have to wait in a ten minute line just to check out, and there's only one checkout line open. Half of the scanners don't work, and the scanners that do work are all old and outdated. Drive the extra 5 minutes the the South Brunswick, or Milltown locations!

Target ahhhhhhh. I much prefer this Target to the one in South Brunswick down route one. Staff is much friendlier and less pushy about the Red Card. Starbucks is well done and every once in a while you get a coupon at the register for a discounted drink. This location is pretty well organized and usually tidy. I find a lot more deals in clearance.

Whole shelf says this but prices are increased by 49 cents

Target is becoming to be like Walmart. Only one or two registers opened. Why? Customers are becoming annoyed.

It's so sad. This target is so new yet I don't see anyone in it. I feel like milltown has a bigger inventory but this one is neater by far.

Absolutely terrible customer service and a complete lack of basic respect…read more I placed my order on Saturday and returned Sunday morning to request a refund after changing my mind and deciding to go with a better-quality option. Instead of handling the request professionally, manager Enrique immediately made the process difficult and refused to provide the refund, claiming that refunds cannot be done on Sundays. That explanation made no sense, especially since there is no clear mention in Ashley's return policy stating that refunds cannot be processed on Sundays. Rather than simply helping or calmly explaining the process, he chose to challenge me and make an already frustrating situation even worse. What was most unacceptable was the way I was treated. Enrique told me I had "wasted the salesperson's time" because she had spent two hours on the sale, as if that somehow justified refusing to help me. That is not customer service. That is blaming and shaming a customer for wanting to cancel a purchase less than 24 hours later. His behavior then became aggressive and intimidating. He raised his voice, walked around the counter, stood directly in front of my face, and continued debating and challenging me instead of resolving the issue. At no point did he show any interest in customer care, de-escalation, or professionalism. His goal seemed to be making the refund process as difficult and uncomfortable as possible. I made it clear during the interaction that I will be filing a formal complaint with Ashley head office regarding both the handling of the refund request and Enrique's unacceptable behavior. This was not just poor service. It was hostile, confrontational, and completely unacceptable behavior from a manager. A company that claims to value customers should never allow someone in leadership to treat people this way. Based on this experience, I would strongly discourage anyone from shopping at this Ashley location.

I have passed US Brand for years and may have stopped in when it was an "Oriental Furniture Outlet" or a mattress wholesaler, I really can't remember. Whatever it was doesn't really matter, US Brand is a converted industrial garage stuffed to the rafters with furniture. Surprisingly the staff is very low key and allows you to catch your breath and get the lay of the land without descending like vultures on a wounded mongoose (very much appreciated BTW.) Unfortunately, their furniture inventory is not our style. Lots of laminate, white leather, sprawling Diamonique chandeliers and copious use of gold inlays. It felt more like an estate sale for the last Gabor sister or perhaps, Imelda Marcos. Obviously, this casino maximus style must sell but today was not the day to channel my inner Wayne Newton. Four stars for the very relaxed sales environment. Given the furniture jackals elsewhere, that's no small compliment.

Two five-star shopping experiences in one day, both with new retailers that I never even knew…read moreexisted! One of the great unsolved mysteries of the universe is why good quality patio furniture costs so goddamn much. Oh sure, you can go to Wal-Mart or Home Depot and pick up a fairly decent set that might last a summer or two before it starts to fall apart. That's basically what I've always owned and I was never any worse off for it. After a few beers, you don't even see the rust and the chips and the dings and scratches. But truth be told, my wife and I wanted to upgrade to something nice, and had been toying with investing in a good set of patio furniture for the last two years. This week we finally pulled the trigger. Now this of course did not mean I wasn't going in search of a good deal. Places like Restoration Hardware are still way too out of reach for my budget, even though I do love everything they sell. Looking for something a little more in the middle of the price range, we first explored the Fortunoff Outdoor Store in Menlo Park and Patio World in Lawrenceville. We ruled out Fortunoff after talking to people who dropped big coin there only to have their patio furniture fall apart after one summer. The Patio World experience was much better. We spoke to a nice woman who didn't give us any high pressure sales treatment, and who priced out a nice dining table set with umbrella and fire pit that was currently on sale. However, seeing my check-in there, Jeff B. told me I'd be smart to comparison shop over at DeVries in Somerset, having purchased from there before and having had a less than ideal experience shopping at Patio World in the past. And this, of course, is the magic of Yelp in action. DeVries didn't even exist in the Yelp database, but lo and behold I found it on Google Maps and immediately headed north to check it out. We arrived about 25 minutes later and immediately began touring two showrooms worth of outdoor patio furniture, all on sale, with really excellent deals on items taken right off the floor. Even with the discounts, the pricing was still comparable to other furniture we saw at Patio World. Among the complaints I had read about Patio World were people angry that their furniture took weeks, if not months, to deliver. Thus, there was a real advantage to purchasing at DeVries since I'd be buying merchandise right off the floor which was ready to go. So happy were we that we got such a good deal on a new 11' umbrella and table and chairs set for the deck that we even sprung for an outdoor couch for our lower patio. No, it wasn't cheap. But everything we bought is backed by an 11-year warranty, and came out to almost 60% off the original retail price. And given how many decades DeVries has apparently been in business, we felt it was worth the investment to take our backyard to the next level. Note that DeVries offers 6 months of 0% financing through GE Capital if you don't want to plunk down all your money at once -- something that Patio World did not offer. And to boot, DeVries offered to hold on to all of our furniture until we are ready for delivery. Asked if they could hold it all long enough to ensure that the long winter and snow was definitely past us, they told us "no problem, just give us 5 days notice and you can have it whenever you want." That's really awesome. Whether or not our investment pays off and the furniture truly holds up against the elements will remain to be seen. But if you are looking to upgrade your patio and walk away feeling like you got good value for your money, definitely take a ride over to DeVries and check them out.
