Not so with this branch. I was shocked by two things: First the aisles were wide, easily accommodating two people side by side. Second, the aisles were well organized and *neat*. It was actually a bit disconcerting, as if the natural order of Dollar General itself had been disrupted. The store had customers, but it wasn't particularly crowded so check out was quick and easy. In addition to being in a nice town, this is a great example that other Dollar Generals should aspire to be.

During one of my prior visits I noticed a Store Manager (with dark hair) speaking to one of the sales girl (a petite little thing) who was so pleasant and helpful, in a demeaning manner. This same sales girl that I have seen before has actually assisted me in purchasing multiple items. She was pleasant and eager to help. Very often do you see sales girls act this way, so it made my shopping experience wonderful. When I visited today, the Store Manager was there again and just seemed like she was looking to humiliate this sales girl because she did not like her. What "boss" reprimands an employee in front of customers? Only someone that does that on purpose because they are a bully. Totally unprofessional!! The store is on the smaller side, so it was not difficult to hear. I do not know if that young Store Manager was on a power trip, but if her bosses saw her acting this way, I am sure they would not be happy. I will not be shopping in this location again because of it. Bullies need to be reported and shown disciplinary action OR maybe the owners of Ruby & Jenna need to only hire mature middle aged woman to run their store. This is a terrible representation of their name and in today's world, where small businesses are struggling, I feel it is very important to hire people that will not abuse their title and jeopardize sales, which for me, did just that today! I would definitely suggest you shop in their Plainview or Roslyn stores or only shop in this location if the Store Manager is not working.

The prices are MUCH better than what I had recently seen at a different store. They do have a parking lot, which gets fairly busy, but I've always found a space. To drop off items for donation, you can just bring you car to the front of the shop, and there are large plastic bins where you can place your items. There is usually an employee there who can advise you, and can also give you a slip to fill out for tax deductions. Tip - If you do drop off items for donation, they have been giving out coupons you can use in the store too. We were able to get an additional 20% off this way!

It depends, but usually it's for pajamas, table cloths, and shower curtains. But I don't get all of them in one visit. Sure, I can get those anywhere, but why here? REALLY LOW PRICES. Other stores would charge higher for these items, including Wal*Mart, but because these are closeouts, you won't expect to spend A LOT on just one item. Regardless of brands and low pricing, I've never had a major issue with anything that I got here. Keep in mind that because this is a closeout store, what they have on the shelves and racks is all they've got. During my recent visit, I needed to see if they had any short-sleeved pajamas as mine were getting close to being worn out. But all I saw were the winter ones, and when I asked to see if they had any, they politely told me that what they receive and stock is all they've got. I was disappointed, but I understood. Maybe they'll have it next time or something. But I didn't walk out empty-handed though. I was able to get a new table cloth at a cool price since my old one was just way too out-dated. I will acknowledge the parking lot is not the best. It is a bit tight in parts and on days leading up to holidays it can fill up *quick*. However, on normal days if you're willing to walk a bit I tend to park towards the left side of the lot (I realize this is not an option for everyone).
