The self check out register was left unattended with an issue from a prior customer. No one appeared to be working in the store. When we arrived we saw a delivery truck but someone should have been at the registers. I walked around looking g for someone and yelled into the area where it says employees only and no one responded. I finally located a man that appeared to be straightening up shelves. I asked him if he worked there and he soad yes, what's the problem? I told him that we had been waiting at least 10 minutes to check out and he asked why we didn't do self check out. Believe me if there wasn't an issue at that register we would have. He said he'd find someone to help us because apparently he couldn't ring us up. Over 5 minutes past and a gentleman finally came to ring us up. He asked us what the problem was as if it was our fault that there was a line or an issue with the self check out register. Unbelievable customer service. I even called the store while we were waiting to see if someone would pick up that we could tell them we were at the registers. No luck.

This same sales girl that I have seen before has actually assisted me in purchasing multiple items. She was pleasant and eager to help. Very often do you see sales girls act this way, so it made my shopping experience wonderful. When I visited today, the Store Manager was there again and just seemed like she was looking to humiliate this sales girl because she did not like her. What "boss" reprimands an employee in front of customers? Only someone that does that on purpose because they are a bully. Totally unprofessional!! The store is on the smaller side, so it was not difficult to hear. I do not know if that young Store Manager was on a power trip, but if her bosses saw her acting this way, I am sure they would not be happy. I will not be shopping in this location again because of it. Bullies need to be reported and shown disciplinary action OR maybe the owners of Ruby & Jenna need to only hire mature middle aged woman to run their store. This is a terrible representation of their name and in today's world, where small businesses are struggling, I feel it is very important to hire people that will not abuse their title and jeopardize sales, which for me, did just that today! I would definitely suggest you shop in their Plainview or Roslyn stores or only shop in this location if the Store Manager is not working.

Today I drove over to donate some housewares after doing a New Year's cleaning. The process was easy. You'll see the green-drop doorway to the left of the thrift store's main entrance. You can drive up and unload your donations into the bins. A staff member helped me out. She brought over one of the rolling bins and then gave me a 20% off coupon for making my donation today. Good experience and would come back again!

Most of the areas were very organized, but the kitchen supply area was a little messy. But then again, I don't come here for that. So what do I come here for? It depends, but usually it's for pajamas, table cloths, and shower curtains. But I don't get all of them in one visit. Sure, I can get those anywhere, but why here? REALLY LOW PRICES. Other stores would charge higher for these items, including Wal*Mart, but because these are closeouts, you won't expect to spend A LOT on just one item. Regardless of brands and low pricing, I've never had a major issue with anything that I got here. Keep in mind that because this is a closeout store, what they have on the shelves and racks is all they've got. During my recent visit, I needed to see if they had any short-sleeved pajamas as mine were getting close to being worn out. But all I saw were the winter ones, and when I asked to see if they had any, they politely told me that what they receive and stock is all they've got. I was disappointed, but I understood. Maybe they'll have it next time or something. But I didn't walk out empty-handed though. I was able to get a new table cloth at a cool price since my old one was just way too out-dated. I will acknowledge the parking lot is not the best. It is a bit tight in parts and on days leading up to holidays it can fill up *quick*. However, on normal days if you're willing to walk a bit I tend to park towards the left side of the lot (I realize this is not an option for everyone).
