But when the salesman rang it up, the price had jumped to $1730. A supervisor I called at the corporate level could not explain the difference. Then a customer service woman called me to say they quoted a chair with lumbar support. I did not ask for this extra feature. I was not told the sale was being rung up with the add on. I could not get the store to see what the problem was here. So I will not be buying from Penny Mustard. If you are buying there, double-check the posted price versus what is rung up. This company sells absolute trash furniture. I bought two…read morepower recliners sofas from this company in January of this year. Each sofa has two recliners for a total of 4. Paid over $4k. Not even three months later, a recliner completely stops working. The power switch still showed red (getting power), but switch not working. Technician comes out- says power supply is good but switch went back. Replacement parts expected to take about 3 months. 2.5 months later, a second recliner goes out, this time while up so it can't even go back down. Original tech told me he was going to order 4 replacement switches and replace all of them. When I called to open claim on second recliner going bad, was told the initial tech only ordered 1. So now I'm out two recliners, who knows when the replacement parts will come in for first issue and I'll have to wait another several months to have second fixed. These are obviously faulty couches and they won't give me a refund. Quite literally the only reason I got these couches was to have the reclining functionality. Do not do business with this company. They don't sell quality products and fixed take forever. I'll be forming a claim with BBB and disputing with my credit card company.

After moving to a new place, this location was the first store I visited. Almost immediately after walking in, I was approached by Marica Broun (senior designer). I was looking for one piece of furniture and knew exactly what I wanted. After explaining this to Marcia and giving her my room measurements, she smiled (which she does a lot) and said, "I have exactly what you just described". As we walked she did tell me that what she wanted to show me was more expensive than the amount I had given her. But she stressed that it was what I had described. My first thought was that she was a good salesperson telling me what I wanted to hear. I was wrong! Marica led me to the EXACT piece I had just described (down to every single detail I had told her I wanted.. Because the piece was more expensive than what I had planned to spend, I didnt want to make the decision that day. Marcia wrote everything up for me, told me what discounts I could take advantage of (and when they expired), and to call her if I had questions. She put absolutely no pressure on me. I went back the following week to make the purchase. I told Marcia that I wanted to buy. Because she had documented everything the first time i was there, completing the paperwork was quick and easy. Over the years, I have had some fantastic experiences (with salespeople) and some that were truly forgettable. Marcia is up there at the top of the list. She listens to you and, therefore, shows you what she knows you'll like (based on what yout tell her).
