And...believe it or not, once you get it, it CANNOT be returned unless you agree to put it back in its original box. So that would be AFTER you build it yourself! My furniture was delivered damaged I was told to contact customer service. After I was put on hold or hung up on 3 times I finally reached someone who said they filled out a "ticket" for me and someone would contact me in 2-3 days. It's been 8 days and over 10 phone calls to customer services and I still can not reach anyone about my issue. To all the people looking to purchase furniture, please avoid this store and Ashley Furniture altogether. I order the bed and mattress from this store, they told me they can delivery all items on the same day. When it came the delivery day, they only bring the bed rails and headboard/ footboard, no mattress. The delivery guy told me that they "forgot" the mattress and box spring even though it is on the delivery order that he had with him?!?!? Another thing with Ashley Furniture that I am not happy about is they do not let you request a delivery window. You can only pick the date but not the time. Are we supposed to sit at home all day to wait for them? Due to the fact that the building I live in only allow furniture delivery from 9am to 4pm M-F if they need to use the freight elevator. I requested that they schedule my delivery anywhere from 9am to 3pm and they said they cannot guarantee the time frame. How can you not guarantee the delivery time frame? 9 to 3 is 6 hours and it is during daytime. It's plenty of time to communicate with your delivery team. This should be zero stars for this garbage company and product. By far the worst customer service I have ever seen in furniture retail. We placed an order on March 14th and we're told our items would be available in mid June. On June 1st we reached out to customer service since we have yet to here any information from the store or our sales rep and we were informed our items were on backorder until July. I get it I work in the industry so I understood the change in ETA. At this point I went into the store and spoke with a manager and was told there was a delay and sorry we did not reach out but if anything changes we will let you know. Surprise surprise again after no follow up from the store we reached out to customer service in July and was told......on backorder until the end of August. The store has never reached out to us when there is an update with our items. Fast forward to August after going into the store again to speak with a manager, since they never answer their phones and after treading the reviews I would not want to either, she told me she would again escalate the order and follow up with us on Monday. She calls us Monday and by a miracle all items are ready for delivery so we book the delivery for Saturday. I wish this was the time that we get all our items and everything is great...but not so much. We get a phone call Friday from the warehouse, the day before our delivery that 1 of our items is on backorder, this is the same piece that has been on backorder since March, since at this point we have already gotten rid of our current couch and love seat we have no choice but to take the items they have and wait for the last piece. Delivery day is here and 2 of our three sectional pieces are damaged we accept the items because we have no choice so we have something to sit on in our home. I spent the next 3 hours trying to reach out to someone at the store to resolve my issue, but no luck the store never answers the phone. I talk to someone in customer service who informs me this item was never in stock and to top it all off the ETA now has moved to September. We decided to go into the store and talk with the manager directly and we were told they have to send out a technician to look at the item to try and repair it. I brought in pictures and a video of the damage to show the manager in the store less than 24 hours after the item was delivered.. This is a complete joke you gave me garbage furniture I spent $2,500 on and now you want to make it look like this is my fault. Bottom line don't trust their sales team or managers they lie at any and every chance they get. They got their money so they don't care about customer satisfaction or standing behind their product. Have been trying to cancel the order and get my card refunded since Sun (the next morning). Have emailed the sales rep, have called customer service three times over multiple days. I recently moved so I purchased a new bed, a couch, and dining room table from Ashley. The showrooms and sales reps were a good experience. I know once purchasing these items at the store they come from a warehouse. My 1 star is for the customer service and warehouse. My dining room table leaf didn't lock and looked to be altered or repaired and there was a repair clear as day on the top of the table. I had zero time to look at every detail on delivery day because the delivery guys were in such a rush to complete their over packed truck of deliveries. When buying at the store I was under the assumption I was buying a brand new table and not a refurbished table. When you spend as much money as I did with Ashley I expect brand new items. I have called a dozen times and I get the run around, "we escalated it to our manager", "I will call you back today", " you should be getting a call back in the next day or two", on and on. Not once have I been contacted by them, oh except to pitch a new sale they had going on. Their. Ustomer service is horrendous to work with. I've been very frustrated with my Ashley experience. After having bought a living room set six years ago, I went back when I needed a new dining room set for my condo. I made the purchase in October 2021 of a five-piece expandable dining room set and an additional two chairs for when I wanted to put my leaf in. I was told that due to supply chain issues, it would take somewhat longer but that I should have it no later than March of 2022. That was frustrating, but I was willing to work with them on it. Flash forward to April 2022 and no one has contacted me, so I reach back out. I'm told that I never should have been told that the pieces would be delivered by a certain date but that they were still having issues. The new date I'm given (despite previously saying they shouldn't have told me anything to begin with) is that it should be delivered by June 2022. June rolls around and still nothing, so I'm back on the phone again. I'm told that the table is in stock but the chairs are not. If I can just wait another month they ask. I wanted someone to reach out to me with updates, but I was told that isn't how Ashley does business. End of July comes and FINALLY the furniture arrives (nearly ten months later). The delivery drivers unload the chairs and I notice that nearly every single chair is poorly assembled so that they wobble like crazy. The delivery men also assembled the table but that too wobbles like crazy. I call Ashley up and I'm told that they can't do anything and that I would be contacted by their third party warranty handler within 24-48 hours to schedule a time for someone to come out and inspect the furniture. More than that time passes before someone finally reached out to me. Only problem is, they tell me that they have ONE technician working the entire Chicagoland area and he/she only comes out Monday-Friday 8AM-6PM. No weekends. No smaller windows. I have to pick a day of the week to sit at home and get no work done while I wait for someone to come by. I call Ashley back to complain as I'm quite annoyed and for some reason I'm put through to their internet purchases phone line so the operator cannot even access my account. This is idiotic because last time I checked, I was an Ashley customer regardless of where I purchased the furniture. I call back again and get someone in-store who apologizes and tells me that he'll see if there's anything they can do. He tells me that someone from the third-party will call me in the next 24-48 hours or he'll call me back. That was a week ago and no word from anyone. So now I'm taking a whole day off of work to get this issue repaired when a simple quality assurance check would have gone a long way. Did no one notice in the warehouse how poorly the chairs were assembled? Does no one check furniture prior to its delivery to ensure that it meets certain standards? Sadly the store isn't open now and I've been on auto payments the past year. Now I'm paying double what the price of the couch is. I trusted what they told me like a fool. Purchased products on July 5th by Sagar and was promised a lead time of 6-8 weeks (I have texts to show) which wasn't the perfect scenario because my move in date was mid August, but I agreed to that timeline. Anyway, every week they sent us updates with pushed back dates. For example, one said the August 30th, then September 9th, then September 16th, etc. What's the point of getting these texts if they're just getting your hopes up for it to just change the following week? Ashley's furniture just sets up their customers for disappointment. Finally, I call the store and they tell me that I can't cancel the order because they'll charge me the 10%, and that my order is expected to arrive at the end of October. That's 3 MONTHS after purchasing the product!!! Then, All we got was a "sorry, I'll call you back". No refund for shipping? No discount on the product? Nothing. We purchased basically everything you could think of from them and we are going to be sitting on our living room floor. Honestly, it's super disappointing and not trustworthy at all. I highly suggest NOT shopping with Ashley at all. Just go elsewhere and save yourself the headaches. I probably would have let this go, but my Ashley saga continued today so I feel compelled to write. I needed a full sized bed/mattress to complete my guest bedroom. After some online sleuthing, I decided to visit the nearest Ashley Furniture in Algonquin on 11/26/2022. Nicely appointed store with a chilly sales staff (4 walked past me as I browsed the beds, before I corralled a very nice lady named Helen). She assisted me with my choices ($1100.00 total) and set up my financing smartly and efficiently. So far so good, and I knew my delivery might take a few weeks. Cut to 12/08/22. I receive an automated notice that my merchandise was in and to call and set up delivery. I did, setting up Saturday 12/24/2022 as my delivery date as I work all week and live alone. On 12/13/2022, I receive another automated message telling me to call and set up delivery. What? Deja Vu? I call back and find out that there is no record of my delivery request in their system. By now I'm pissed, but I set up the next Saturday 12/31/2022 for delivery. On 12/30/2022 I receive another message (from an actual human) that my delivery will not happen as the bed rails are not in. Were they in on 12/8 and 12/13? No clue. At this point, I'm done. I reach another Customer Service human and cancel my order 12/30/22. A month wasted, no bed, No delivery in sight. Done done done. Today (1/7/2022) I receive yet another Autobotic message telling me that my bed was still not in and thanking me for my patience. What in the AF? I reply that I had cancelled the order and am answered by a human monitor that I will have to OPT OUT so emails and texts will cease ...why wouldn't they cease when the order was cancelled? So now I don't really want to OPT OUT...I'm just starting to have fun. We'll see where this takes me. By reading the YELP page for this store I'm betting that I'll get an automated response explaining that they actually give a shit but offering no clear solutions. It is now 8 full months later. * King mattress, king frame, blk dresser, chest, blk nightstand x2 * Twin mattress x2, twin boxspring x2, twin frame x2, wht dresser x2, wht nightstand x2 King mattress was selected because it was guaranteed in stock. Delivery day they called me that morning to say that it was damaged, I slept on the floor for 2 weeks. Delivery was re-scheduled, again they called me that morning to say that it was damaged. Sales person admitted that the same damaged mattress was not removed from inventory and was scheduled for delivery. Had to select a different mattress, slept on the floor 2 more weeks. King bedroom set was delivered. Chest was delivered broken, still waiting for a replacement. Dresser and nightstands arrived broken, they were able to be repaired. Nightstand handle broke within 2 months. Have called and they have said that they will send replacement handles twice, nothing received. Wht dressers delivered broken. Replacements were ordered, also arrived broken. At this point 8 dressers have been delivered broken, I still have not received functional dressers. Twin headboards and footboards delivered broken. Replacements were ordered, also arrived broken. In total 3 sets (12 items) have been delivered broken, I still have not received twin beds. Wht nightstands still have not been delivered at all. Customer service requested that items be opened and checked before delivery - they're arriving opened, but unchecked and damaged. It's been 8 months, this furniture was very expensive, and I am rearranging my schedule weekly or bi-weekly to receive broken items. This whole experience has been a complete nightmare, and the high cost of the furniture is fraudulent given the quality of the items. I called and they have said that my options are to keep the broken items (which are unusable), keep having re-deliveries of the broken items with no limit on attempts (so I have no idea when I would actually have working items), or cancel the items for store credit. If I choose store credit and select less expensive items I lose that money, if I select more expensive items I will owe more. I cannot even put into words how poor this whole experience has been, my kids have been sleeping on the floor and living out of laundry baskets for 8 months and they will not allow me to get my money back so that I can get them furniture. Haven't talked to a person on the phone since Esteban because no one will call you back or help you. Where the hell is Esteban? Who's actually going to help me. No one helps me. I pay for this furniture that's now backordered more than half a year after I order it, backordered 24 hours before delivery when it wa sin stock 24 hours earlier, pay for assembly and don't get half the furniture assembled. Make a complaint and the case manager doesn't follow up, doesn't call back. No one helps me. I've learned my lesson Ashley's. You have scammed me. You are taking my money and not providing the service I have paid for. No one will help. I am out of $4,000 and stuck with half a couch and a side table that's not even set up. I originally ordered three items, cancelled the tv stand as they pushed the in stock date to October, told them to take back the broken dresser they delivered last week and received a call today, the day they were supposed to pick up the dresser only for them to say they had me listed as Memphis and not Chicago so they'll now pick the dresser up next Tuesday. My couch was to be delivered today and the right arm sofa piece was completely broke, so much that the delivery guy refused the piece for me. Ashley Furniture will not quote me a new delivery date for the returned piece until they receive the item back in the warehouse. Unbelievable that I've waited over 6 weeks for this level of service. I don't care to write reviews because I feel that everyone has their days but this one I had to write about. This is a long review Be careful going to the Ashley store in Vernon Hills. I was wrongly mistreated. I was trying to take catch their Bogo deal before it ended. The day the deal was suppose to be over I had errands. I checked their hours, online..said they were open til midnight, umm ok we know that's not trues. So I made sure I got there before 9pm. Arrived at the store at 8:30pm, stores hours posted were closing at 9pm. But the doors were locked. Locked 1/2hr before closing. The employee in the store, was closing a sale. The customer he was with showed him that we were at the door. He saw myself at the door, as I held up the flyer for bogo asking to come in to make a purchase. He looked up, shook his head in dismay and continued on helping his customer. Did he open the door ... nope. Did he at least say I'm sorry come back tomorrow I closed early... nope. Did he give some kind of respect that people should get if closing a store early ... NOPE! Just plane disrespect. I stayed til he finished his sale.. was hoping he would acknowledge or something. NOPE!! he kept his head down as if I didn't exist. Such disrespect especially since I wanted to purchase a few items. You might think... what nationality are you. That doesn't matter. Treat customers with respect!! I came back the next day... complained and found out the employee who treated me with such disrespect was the store manager. THE STORE MANAGER who goes by the name Taj. I was second guessing giving Ashley my money. Why would I want to give my hard earned money to a company who disrespects you and acts as if you don't exist. But a pleasant manager of the company named Carlos helped me out. He was very helpful. Heard and listened to my concerns. He wanted to make sure I would be happy with my purchase if I decided to purchase from them. Because I told them I am second guessing giving Ashley my money. I did end up purchasing a few pieces. Taj does not deserve to be the store manager. My money is just as good as the money that he was closing. Just as good or even better. Without him knowing he treated me with disrespect. Even if you were treated with respect by Taj, knowing that he has the capability to treat others with such disrespect he should not get commission off of you, or have anyone else service. Thank Carlos for all your help. Carlos is the guy to ask for. He was very helpful in so many ways. Taj, you are a sad excuse of a store manager. I don't know how you got to that level with showing such lack of experience, disrespect and rudeness. Sorry Ashley Furniture but you need to pick better store Managers. Would I recommend the store to any one... I will have to see how my furniture is and only if I know for sure Carlos is still working. I would definitely purchase from Carlos. The only reason I am giving it a 1 star is because I am not able to give it 0 stars. This is the worst Ashley HomeStore ever . I ordered my furniture back on June 2nd and was told delivery would be July 15th which was still far out . I hadn't heard anything by the 8th of July and they told me that someone at their store refunded me back by mistake and that I owed $10 on my furniture. No one had called or anything . They then said they fixed it and I would now get my furniture in August 15th . Well August turned into September and October and finally in the beginning of November I received ONE Part of my sectional and in mid November I received the final part. The customer service line is horrible and puts you on hold for 40 - 60 mins and then someone picks up and hang up ( that happened to me on several occasions). HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE experience. PAID for my furniture last February and STILL WAITING for it to make it to their "STATE OF THE ART" Distribution Center. I was told 4-8 weeks and clearly this has been changed - 4 TIMES. The store didn't call - I had to call EVERY TIME to ONLY get the news that once again my furniture is not available. We have been here since 230pm, nobody even greets us, we stood next to two workers that didnt even acknowledge us so we walked around a little bit then sat on the couch for 20 minutes some guy just walked past us and looked at us and now some guy just walked in and they went to help them right away. I feel it is because we are not of the same color. Seriously i feel that someone should see this happen on the 5th of March it is really crazy and i feel discriminated against.
