    The furniture I spent $4,000 on just to arrive late and damaged.

    If I could give it negative stars I would. I will never purchase anything from Ashley ever again. The people in the store are wonderful but customer service is a scam. My furniture was delivered damaged I was told to contact customer service. After I was put on hold or hung up on 3 times I finally reached someone who said they filled out a "ticket" for me and someone would contact me in 2-3 days. It's been 8 days and over 10 phone calls to customer services and I still can not reach anyone about my issue. I spent $4000 on furniture just for it to arrive damaged, and then I call customer service and I'm promised I'm going to be transferred to a supervisor or an associate that can assist me and they just put the call on hold and eventually hang up if you don't hang up first. They're scam artists, DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM ASHLEY!!!

Some folks are disputing this but think about it, do you want the pilot of your plane on your trans-Pacific flight with 100 hours of flight experience?? Or do you want the person with 10,000 hours?? Speaking of pilots, the pilot light in my gas fireplace kept going out and it kept going out when outside temperatures went below 25F. That's right, it went out when you needed it most. So after firing up the pilot light manually for seemingly over two Winters, I said to myself, this is insanity. So I used Yelp to conduct a comparative analysis and called four fireplace companies. Here were the outcomes of those calls: - one company does not fix gas fireplaces. - the second company made me leave a message and it took the guy like 3 days to call back and he had an attitude like he was disgruntled from the get-go (meaning from the onset). - the third company wanted to charge a service call for diagnosing the problem and couldn't comment on the overall costs. - the fourth company was Hearth & Home and Pat (who turned out to be the owner) was a straight shooter (meaning forthcoming with details). Pat asked the year, make, model, serial number of my gas fireplace. He listened to me about my fireplace's symptoms and gave me a likely diagnosis and projected costs of the part and service. I had a very good feeling about his Integrity and thought the cost was reasonable. The appointment was booked and weeks later, Mike came as scheduled. Mike has 10 years experience and although he huffed and puffed here and there while fixing it, I had no doubt that with his expertise (10,000 hours) we would be up and running in no time. And that's what happened, my fireplace got fixed, within budget and right in time for me to make it to the Yelpies event last week!! Thank you Pat, Mike and H&H for this professional experience. What I found odd about this store is the fact it's not too far from Pier 1, and some of the items you could find at both locations. Here's Kirkland's in a nutshell. It is a great place to get home decor items that you will see everywhere else. Like wooden painted signs with cute messages, frames, mirrors, lamps, candles, wire baskets, throw pillows, and a few furniture items (think Joanna Gaines). Take Hobby Lobby + Tuesday Morning + World Market + Joanne Fabrics + Pier 1.     1 star -- Repeated warehouse damage, incorrect assembly and failed deliveries. Over a month with no…read moreresolution, plus added costs and canceled plans. We ordered a couch (plus a coffee table and side tables) from Steinhafels and selected a delivery date based on the availability offered at checkout. What should have been a standard delivery of brand-new furniture turned into multiple failed attempts, damaged items and ongoing confusion. It has now been more than a month and we still do not have a functioning couch. The core issue is not a minor cosmetic issue. It's Steinhafels' warehouse handling and assembly quality, which then gets pushed to the delivery team to try to fix in real time. A brand-new couch should not arrive ripped, incorrectly assembled or broken on the truck -- and a replacement should not show up with the same kind of damage. What happened (timeline) Delivery attempt No. 1: * We received no advance notice of any problem. * The delivery team arrived and told us the couch was damaged at the warehouse and could not be delivered. The drivers even indicated we should have been notified ahead of time, but we were not. * Once the truck was opened, it was also clear the coffee table and side tables were damaged, and the drivers refused to deliver them due to the damage. Delivery attempt No. 2: * The couch finally arrived, but it was in unacceptable condition for a new purchase: ripped upholstery, improper assembly, bent in the center, bottom riser dragging, wrong legs. * We were not comfortable sitting on it. We also felt pushed toward a "repair" solution, which is not appropriate for a brand-new couch delivered in defective condition with incorrect assembly. * This attempt also had a real impact on our plans. We were expecting the delivery to be resolved before hosting, and we ended up having to cancel our New Year's Eve party at the last minute because the couch situation was still not resolved after this failed delivery. Delivery attempt No. 3 (the "replacement"): * This was supposed to be a simple exchange: broken couch out, new couch in. * The delivery team told us the replacement couch was already broken on the truck -- the footrest was bent. They tried to repair it, but it was still not functioning properly. After three attempts, we were once again left without a working couch. Additional issues: store runarounds and extra costs Every delivery attempt has required us to drive to the store to get anyone's attention -- only for the store to call the same customer service line that has been unhelpful and unable to resolve the issue. We also live in a high-rise in the city, which adds real costs and logistics each time a delivery is scheduled. Every attempt requires reserving the service elevator, which costs us about $200 each time -- and we have had to do that repeatedly because Steinhafels has not delivered a usable couch.

Its held up great, so when I was looking for a low but long dresser (another odd size space to fill) and I figured I'd check them out again. Third, it needed to be REAL furniture, not that Amazon press board type of junk. On top of all that if it matched my room then even better, but I'd sacrifice on looks if I had to. I told him what I was looking for and exactly what my max dimensions were as I walked around looking at the dressers. He walks away for a second and comes back and calls me over to a dresser. "If you don't mind keeping the legs off of it this might work". Sure enough this thing was picture perfect. It was Just at the max for my dimensions and budget, but that included threshold delivery. The boss on duty came over and we finalized everything so easily, I honestly should have just started my day here and saved myself a lot of trouble shopping around. My delivery came on time and at the earliest point in my 3 hour window. Super nice delivery team as well.     I believe in what I see!…read more After ordering numerous products online only to be returned, I'm not a catalog shopper. This week I purchased a couch, and a recliner a few days later. Both items were purchased off of the showroom floor and were delivered with care separately. Backstory is that I went to O'Reilly's three different times. I perused other furniture retailers regionally, but kept circling back to look at a cocoa colored leather sofa. This must be the one. Sold! Out with the old and in with the new. After seeing the couch in my living room, I decided that I wanted another chair/ottoman or recliner to replace the one I had. Went back to O'Reilly's to take another look at their stock on the floor. There was a black leather recliner that caught my eye. It was sleek and well proportioned to my weight and height. A plus was the matching love seat to my couch was close by, so I could visualize how the pieces would look together. It was so comfortable that I decided to purchase it immediately. My sales representative gave me a discount to the price marked on the chair. It was delivered the next day. Thank you Mike for the great customer service! I love how my new furniture looks. At this writing the furniture is brand new. Hopefully it will withstand the test of time concerning operation and durability.

They weren't sure of status and promised to call me back next day. Two weeks later I had to stop by because I never heard back. I was promised an answer in the next few days. I heard it would be ready in a few weeks. The new due date passed, no word, I stopped by again for update. The general manager was very defensive and defended their horrible communication. "You can't expect us to call every customer with status updates." Yes, I can, especially when you promised the customer a call. It's the 21st century, plenty of software exists that will remind you to call customers. We finally got the furniture about a year after order. FYI, the order was placed in 2022. 2. When the furniture arrived, the bench lid had an obvious defect in the wood I saw right away. First they tried to pass it off as distressed wood but I reminded them I didn't order distressed wood. Then they tried to blame poor lighting in the warehouse for not noticing. Then they tried to say they could just fix it with export/resin filler. No, it gets fixed by replacing the defective wood with good wood. 3. They also messed up the doors on the shoe bench. We asked for vented doors but they gave us solid doors. 4. They messed up the kitchen dining nook. We asked for paneled all the way up but they gave us slats instead in the top section. TheseO'Reilly Furniture people gave us a very disappointing experience. I'll never use them again and do not recommend them. They and/or their furniture makers are customer indifferent. We recently bought an Amish desk for our son from Amish Furniture Gallery in Aurora. He was able to customize it and they honored every single customization request and delivered on time.
