I was SCAMMED at Target. I purchased several VISA debit holiday gift cards for family. One of the cards was a $100.00 amount. It was discovered the card had been tampered with and 4 digits had been scraped off the plastic card making it unusable because someone else had fraudulently cashed in on it. I followed every procedure in a very patient manner with the security and fraud department at Target and elsewhere (VISA and the issuing bank- Pathward) to no avail. The manager did not come out of his office to even speak with me, instead sending some other floor worker out to shrug his shoulders, and I had to primarily communicate with the offshore "call center". The entire experience is very frustrating and frankly I'm surprised that Target is AWARE of this practice but not willing to help or stand behind the product they sell. If they're AWARE of this, then don't have an entire wall of gift cards hanging out there for the slight-of-hand. Instead, do what the Federal Trade Commission suggests and keep the gift cards by the register for purchase where light fingers are not so apt to pinch one. In general a real lack of courtesy and professionalism. At least pretend to make an attempt even if you could care less. read more

Absolute worst Target I've ever visited. Could not find an employee for assistance. Went down several aisles and not a worker in sight. Finally after 20 minutes we found someone And She said she would page someone to the department we needed assistance. No one showed up. We went to the price check kiosk because there's an option to request assistance. Literally pressed it 5 times and waited for someone to come. It would say that a worker was on their way, no one showed. Other times it would say that they couldn't find anyone. Needless to say, no one ever came. Went to the Returns area and was told "if you don't see it on the shelf, we don't have it". Didn't even bother to check their inventory. Hopefully management reads these reviews and implements change. I doubt it, reviews seem consistently bad. read more

This store is an absolute mess! There are carts literally overflowing with products either needing to be placed back on shelves or stored somewhere other than making aisles impassable. Items are strewn over the floors as well. It looks worse than even a Marshal's-like store. They're clearly in need of many more employees and MUCH better management. I walked away from multiple departments due to frustration navigating my search for products. read more

Their grocery prices leave me shell shocked but Target exists so that I never have to go to Walmart ever again. The store is bright, well stocked and doesn't have merchandising disasters clogging every aisle. Sure, your credit card information gets hacked every few months but isn't that a small price to pay to avoid the scrum at Walmart. read more

UPDATE - 05/25/22 Absolutely done with the Milltown store. Prices on the register, particularly with groceries, do not match the prices on the shelves. Always being overcharged at checkout. Products on shelves are often in the wrong place, not matching the price tag below. The extremely tiny print on the price tags describing the item and its size is unreadable for most people. Try to verify a price on the bar code readers scattered around the store, and half of them don't read the codes. Go to the service desk and waste 15 minutes trying to explain this to a clerk with permanent "deer in the headlights" attitude, and get nowhere most times, even when the register price is clearly an error. They play dumb when you explain the problem, apparently have no authority to make corrections, so they have to call for help. Even when you show them a photo of the price tag on the shelves they argue. You end up having to accept the overpricing or return the item. And this is true even with low $$$ grocery items. Must be corporate culture. Target was fined $5 MILLION recently for false advertising and misleading pricing practices. read more

Dear Target Management, I am absolutely disgusted how me and my cousins were treated during my time at this target. Their lack of courtesy and professionalism made my shopping trip unpleasant! While shopping for my Bob Ross car air freshener, an employee of this store approached me while raising his voice ordering that we leave the store immediately. I unfortunately did not get to complete my shopping errands, and was unable to purchase a Minecraft stuffed animal. One of the best Targets I been to, especially the electronics section. They try to price match when you ask, unlike at Edison Walmart whose customer service was so atrocious they won't even price match walmart.com. Furthermore workers at this Target automatically go out of their way to seek lower prices to match to in hopes of enticing you to a purchase. I tried to buy a Nintendo switch game or controller and the employee would go out of their way to seek a good deal for me! Amazing! Very cordial and energetic employees here with a hustler spirit... I usually don't write reviews but I have time because I've been standing in the customer service line for 10+ minutes waiting for an associate to help me and five other customers. No one has shown to help and the associates that walk by just keep saying "there should be someone here" look around for a few seconds and then walk away. The store is always in shambles and often many items are out of stock. Why promote online orders for pick up by building an entire row of 20+ drive up spots if you have no one to man it???? Takes away parking from the front of the store and seems pretty useless. read more

That being said, with respect, I am aghast at the Women's Clothing selection lately and I have to say it isn't the first time. It seems whoever is in charge of purchasing is in dire, DIRE NEED of glasses or fashion sense. There isn't ONE blouse in that Floral Vomit Arrangement of throwaway Garb that I would want to wear. I don't know anyone who would. Honestly WHAT Happened to the business casual? Lemme also ask are we really comfy being offered the Dress of Oppression? The Notorious Black Onesie hanging in the workout/casual section is THE Vision of Communist China that we were born to fear! MY GOD! It is a fashion Nightmare in there! The drive up service has been essential to not only me, but the majority of my family during this pandemic. The service team at the Milltown target have been nothing but helpful and quick to act when there was a missing item. I haven't been inside the store, but from the outside it looks like they are following social distancing regulations well. Miss being able to go in and just browse. Hope I can get in there soon! I'm not a fan of Target at all. You go there with the intention of buying 3 items and before you know it your bill at the end is $100. lol. With that being said, the closest Target next to me is Linden. And the Milltown store compared to Linden is amazing. BECAUSE IT IS SO CLEAN. You have more respect for a superstore like Target or Walmart for there cleanliness. But at the end of the day a Target is just another Target. read more

Needed assistance with a new phone. Was advised they had a call out and no one to assist today. Was told to come back tomorrow but today is my day off. I don't understand how a company as big as Target would only have one person who is authorized to assist with cell phones be scheduled and not have any plans in place for a call out. The people in the front are doing the best job. They are doing drive up and seem to be overworked and under appreciated. I've heard nasty things coming from the manager on the walkie talkie . Rita is pretty cunty as is nicole and Chrissy. They are disrespectful towards their employees and their system of work doesn't make sense . They like for their workers to fix impossible problems that are often completely out of their control , and when they have questions , they're met with passive aggressiveness and disrespect. So here I am at Target last Wednesday for the start of Senior hour. When they allow seniors to shop at 8am. Well I guess management forgot to tell the young millennials who came at that time that it was RESERVED for them. Somehow there where more young people than old folks. I even saw a a group of about 5 young women who came together, go to the back and stock up on the paper towels and what was left of the toilet paper. Despicable. What a solid place to shop for all your needs! Big store, and I usually beeline for the sports/workout clothes to the regular clothing. Pretty fashionable from Target, even maternity wear is readily available. Eating area - really cute and clean, almost cozy looking with the dark tables. And always has the buttery smells of popcorn! Organized return/customer service area -- not cramped. Lines never seem to last too long. I like the fitting rooms -- clean, spacious, with a red little cushion chair. Doors go all the way to the floor, so you don't have to wonder about little kids playing around and peeking under the doors. Good prices -- I got two adorable baby outfits (onesie and a top) for $7 total. I love their Merona brand of shirts/tanks, because they are always so cheap. Under $10, sometimes less. Small workout equipment selection, but don't expect much -- it's not a Sports Authority. I liked that they had Jillian Michaels and Tracy Anderson DVDs because those ladies go effective workouts! The grocery section has a large variety of everything -- fresh produce, frozen goods, chips/cereals, grains, soups, broths, candies, drinks -- and the prices are reasonable. I've found that they are sometimes comparable to regular supermarkets. And they do take coupons! In general, this store is well maintained and clean looking. Not messy with food, toys, clothes thrown on the floor. It's hard to shop for what you need if you can barely move around with items blocking your path. I know I'm supposed to love Tar-zhay, but my feeling is, it's okay. I like the bright openness, the carts that roll properly, and the decent number of open cash registers. This location is an older store now, but has newer, sleeker carts than the much newer Target in South Brunswick. It's not a Greatland, so it doesn't have the big grocery selection of the larger stores, but I didn't come here for groceries. Target has been making inroads against Walmart, but I still think the prices at Walmart are lower on most items. All in all, this is a decent place to shop. read more

The store is kept nice and neat and there are always employees walking around if you need any help finding stuff. The only reason why I didn't give it 5 stars was because it needs a little revamping. The good news from today's visit - they are doing a great job controlling the traffic at the front of the store to ensure social distancing. The bad news- NO WIPES at the entrance. More bad news- as usual at this location, they take up the entire aisle to stock shelves while people are shopping. Tough to social distance when you literally have to climb over the people stocking shelves who pretend they see no one and aren't wearing masks/gloves in all cases. More bad news- I have never run into store employees who are so rude. They had three people stocking the Easter candy aisles with the stock all over surrounding aisles this morning. Do you really think people who are unemployed are going to buy up thousands of bags of Easter candy? read more

Today at the Milltown Target I was treated so disrespectfully I was in complete shock. I have never been treated so poorly in a Target in my entire life. The Manager Christine was so disrespectful, rude and unhelpful. She decided to disappear and ignore me instead of helping to sold the problem. The poor Cashier Diane felt so horrible I thought she was going to have a panic attack as she kept flicking her light on and off to try to get someone anyone to help me. The cashier at customer service who finally ended up ringing us up acted as if she had not been informed of the situation and offered no solutions. I recently went shopping at the Target in Miltown, Nj and was met with a very unwelcoming feeling. I dont know what the policy in "watching" customers in the store is but from the time I set foot in the store until my appalling self check out experience where I was hovered over. While other patrons were not monitored as closely. I made my purchase and left. I got in the car a realized that if Target was going to treat me like a suspicious suspect then they didn't need my suspicious dollars and went back and returned everything. This target has gone down the last six years. There clothes are horrible and tasteless. They don't even carry the nice slippers they use to have or pajama sets. The baby isle is Limited. I am not really a fan of Target, because they sell a lot of low-line junk. I go here when my wife wants to go shopping, because women do not care to seem what they buy, as long as they are buying something. During this trip I saw that they carried some Bose products and had a nice grocery food section. So it is important to note that they have stepped their game up and offer variety in pretty much everything, including pharmacy. Variety is important to everyone these days.
