I visited this store at 4pm on a Saturday. Products were out of stock everywhere. In many cases, 80% of the an items options weren't available. Loose stock (some in boxes from shipping, some not) was laying in many aisles without anyone stocking them. Despite the fact that they were clearly behind in restocking, many staff could be seen standing around talking. Lines were excessive. Due to the lack of selection we've come to expect from these stores, in addition to the lines, we just left. read more

I would say this is the third time where I come in and the lines are down to the cooler section and there is one cashier. First I thought it was employee shortage which was a consideration. But while waiting in line for over 30 minutes and still waiting I see multiple employees walking around the store. The last two times I would see four employees hanging out at Starbucks ..... managers should see that there are multiple customers so there should be multiple lines ... Just moved to Hartford from Enfield and couldnt wait to find my local Target. Noticed a sign on the door boasting extended hours (open until 12am Mon-Fri) until Sept 15th. Guess they're staying open for the beginning of school, which is great! Upon looking around suddenly it dawned on me that all Targets r laid out the same! Sweeeeet! Had a return to make from the Enfield store, so stepped over to Customer Service and was handled quick and courteous just like I love it! Headed over to housewares to pick up some items that were way too expensive at Bed Bath and Beyond then headed to my favorite section, Groceries! Found all my usual groceries and something that I thought wasnt on the market anymore, Kraft 2% Sharp Cheddar block. Yummmmmm! Was sooooo glad to find it, I got 2! Wanted to get 4 but figured that would be overkill. Lol All in all another great trip to Target! read more

I wouldn't give it even one star but it's required. Shoe dept looks like a canon shot them out. Literally strewn completely across the aisles and thrown in piles everywhere. I didn't even try to find shoes which is what I came for because the majority were in heaps. Clothing section was just as bad. Clothes strewn all over the floor throughout the entire department. The salvation army store is spotless and orderly. How sad a comparison is that? Place is disgusting. Never again. read more

Ok, I get it. I came here on a Sunday. But the clothing area was a disaster, the purse/hat area looked as though it was simply tossed in the general direction that it should be in. I couldn't find a hair product that was listed on their website as being in stock, but I get there and they don't even carry it. And then to top it off when checking out, it was bananas! They have a new system that I guess they are trying out? Or that they are thinking of keeping? But the look of their new system almost had me running for the hills! The parking really isn't the issue, there is lots of parking anyone who has driven through here knows that the issue with this parking lot is the through street that connects Buckland Hills Drive to Target, Men's Warehouse, Lowe's, back to the main road. The cars coming out of Target are an after thought for the cars from Lowe's and so a lot of times there will be a near accident or accident at least once a day. Better to come in on the Lowe's side across from the entrance to the Evergreen walk. There isn't a ton to comment on, there registers are better maintained than their Windsor location, I have almost always been able to get in and out despite the fact that they take more people. read more

Their service desk has some major major issues, people just stare at you for 20 minutes, then she picks the phone up and ignores the 10+ people line in order to chat with someone who might be looking for a job. Pretty deliberate poor attitude. The person behind said we are present people who should be assisted first. I agree. There is one guy there, that deserves a raise who ALWAYS has a great positive attitude who is helping me multiple times within the same trip! As this is a store, not a restarurant, I'll be judging by customer service. It's terrible. Today, my family and I were shopping at this place. Usually, we could find a lot of the stuff we needed, and the cashiers were nice and friendly. This time however, this changed. Once we were done with grabbing items to purchase for about an hour, we headed down to the check-out aisles. We noticed instead of the usual cashiers, there were others. They were younger than the ones we were used to. After we were done through it, we waited a little, to make sure everything on the receipt was correct. My son and daughter were sitting at a table, talking to each other a little. However, I noticed immediately, that our cashier turned around and saw another customer. This one had a little girl the same age as our's, the young toddler range. Once she turned around, she gave a sticker to the little girl. And my own daughter was right next to it when it happened. When I saw that, I was thinking how come my daughter didn't get one. So after the customer was done with her shopping, we confronted the cashier about it. We asked for a sticker for our own daughter, as we came to her first, but then she said, "I don't have any more. Sorry." You may be thinking to just get on with it, and that it's just a little thing. But to a 3-year old, seeing someone get something you would've liked, and that you could've gotten it, but then you find out you can't, is HUGE. We felt so bad for her that we bought some stickers, and checked out with a DIFFERENT cashier. Our family felt this wasn't fair at all. If you can't give it to both, then don't give it at all! Giving it to one and not the other just makes one feel upset. In fact, I wish I could identify the cashier, to alert others, but unlike other places, it didn't place the cashier's name on the receipt. However, I can remember that her first name started with an N, and that she was of Indian descent. I used to like this Target, but with this incident, I don't think I'll ever see it in the same picture again. This employee has ruined your reputation, Target. My opinion: Get fair employees that don't try to ruin other customers' experiences. read more

Love target would give more stars except for there MVP of customer service Garfield who is not as delightful as the comic strip cat by the same name. He should be running Walmart with his attitude, he obviously doesn't like people and can't speak to them or be helpful in anyway. He shouldn't be in customer service even the staff has agreed with us on many occasions. Every time we need his 'service' it is an instant sigh of annoyance since he won't be helpful. If something is priced wrong he won't radio back for a price check or go look what it rings up is the price no if ands or buts about it. He also doesn't uphold any price match or online offer from target. I will definitely go out of my way to avoid him and this target while he's on duty! This was definitely one of the better Targets to which I've been. Spacious, clean, helpful staff, and well-stocked with all of Target's goodness! My friend and I came here to return a gift that he had received, and the customer service staff was incredibly helpful, despite him not having a receipt. They were patient with the other customers before us, as well, and I take that into account when I'm waiting on line to be helped. If the staff doesn't seem helpful, I duck out of there faster than you can say "Next guest!" Overall, you can't go wrong with this Target. Their location is hard to beat, as is their service. read more

I got a gift card for Christmas that I have been trying to use. I wanted to get a combination toaster oven, air fryer. I found one there I liked, but there weren't any in stock. I was told 3 would be coming in on Wednesday. Went there and there weren't any. Asked if they had some out back. Was told no. Unfortunately it is not on their website. This location is different than other Targets. It seems that that the management is in over their heads. Apparently a lot of staff call out and so lines can be really long. Some of the staff are really rude, and it seems that a lot of workers do not like their job. I try to go to other Targets when I can. read more

I went shopping today and decided to cash out in self checkout. I had a coupon. As I was scanning my purchases, a manager named Garfield came behind me, grabbed the items I had bagged, and suspended my order. He started screaming at me that coupons are not allowed in the self checkout area "due to couponers who abuse the system and commit fraud." I went to another manager above him to report this, and while the manager was kindly ringing up my order, Garfield continued to scream and embarrass me and my family. I was told by another customer that this is typical of him and he does this whenever he sees a coupon. I will never visit this particular Target again! read more

Very upset with this Target today. They have a sign up saying they are hiring. So I help my mom fill out an app in the store. At the end, an error occurs and we pick up the red phone like the directions said if we had a problem. When I picked up the phone, the lady said they weren't hiring. I said well that doesn't matter I still have an error on the computer. She repeated that they weren't hiring. I said okay well I still have an error. And she said nothing. I hung up in frustration because she wasn't being helpful. The lady at guest service offered her help. Turns out the sign saying they were hiring was left up from Christmas and they didn't currently have openings. So what she was saying was we wasted 40 minutes of our time filling an app for a job that isn't open. Needless to say we are very upset. read more

The line may look really long during the holidays but it moves quickly. I was impressed. I was here on Black Friday in the afternoon. The parking lot was mobbed and I assumed I would be waiting a very long time to pay. I was only going in for a few items. They have one line for everyone and then customer service reps directing people to specific lines. Things were efficient and moved smoothly. At least when I was there! I can't speak for the people who were there when the store opened to grab the last of the big items for sale. read more

I live across the country and ordered my friend an in-store pick up for a zoom party we are having later today. The order was placed less than 24 hours ago and I got the confirmation it was ready and sent over the email and barcode - I also confirmed her name was the pick-up name. She went into the Target today (12/11/2020, approx. 11-11:30am) and was greeted rather rudely and told the order was cancelled and put back on the shelf. After trying to explain there must be a mistake since it had been less than 24 hours she was "shoo-ed" away by the employee who had a nasty attitude. I then called the store and gave the order number and got the confirmation the order is indeed still there and there is sometimes a "glitch" in the system. I asked for the order to be held in a safe space since my friend was about to walk in the store as they had waited in the parking lot. Once back at order pick-up, she was told it wasn't there AGAIN and then needed three employees to find where it was put and had to wait 10-15 minutes again for them to find it. I'm rather disappointed in the poor quality and lack of attempt to remedy the situation. It's very hard to mail things during this time since everything has been delayed/lost and now I'm finding I can even place a pick-up order without similar issues. read more

I shop a buy one get one half off sale on dresses. Signs everywhere. I go to self check out and the two dresses don't ring out on sale. I wait (a long time) for someone to finally help me. He tells me they aren't dresses so aren't part of the sale. These were clearly dresses that said a line dress on them. He argues with me loudly, refuses to get a manager and won't stop yelling at me until I just walk away. Absolutely appalling behavior. I won't be back anytime soon. read more

Really disappointed in my last experience here. It's a beautiful target and well kept. However, when I went to check out the store associate that was supposed to be helping me kinda just very clearly didn't give a shit. She didn't really say anything to me, she asks me if I needed any bags (I had like 4 worth of product so I said yes thank you that would be great) she throws them on the counter and walked away and told her co worker she was going on break. I contacted the store through the app where someone responded by email to speak to me further on the experience but I never got a call or voicemail. If you have another target close i recommend doing what you can to avoid this one if you get bothered with being treated like you're inconveniencing people that are there to "help" you. It was uncomfortable. I've worked in customer service for years including retail, and that just didn't sit right with me. read more

Yesterday 12/28/16 - I went to Target to buy some things that I needed for the house, garbage bags, cereal, toilet paper.. etc. When I arrived at my home I seen that I bought the wrong garbage bags, I wanted scented bags (febreze) and by accident purchased unscented bags. Today 12/29/16 - my husband went to return the item (garbage bags unscented) - He went to guest services with the item that he wanted to return explaining that he just wanted to do an exchange for the correct item, After the lady rang everything in, she explained that he owed $10.59, he made the payment and as he walked out said "wait this doesn't make sense". So after going back in she explained that she returned the trash bags AFTER and here is the gift card. **WARNING** - If you are going to do a return and still purchase things - Make sure that you do the return first, and then purchase your items. That way you walk out with more in your pocket than just a gift card. Thank you Target for keeping my money read more

This is one of the nicer Targets I have been to. My first visit was on a Sunday evening, about 7:00pm, and the store was not uncomfortably busy as others have warned. The parking was not too full either. I was there to pick up a mix of household items, everything from cleaning supplies to decor items, for my new apartment. I found that several items I needed were on sale or "temporary price cut", though none of the deals were extraordinary enough to comment on. The fresh grocery section was a welcome surprise and remarkably well-stocked for a big box store - it puts the Walmart "grocery" aisles I have seen to shame. The prices were good as well - enough so that I have considered going back just for the purpose of grocery shopping. Also on the positive side, the home decor/furnishings/linens section was quite extensive and I found everything I needed and lots to come back for to browse in the future. On the downside, I struggled to locate some of the general items I needed - body wash, for example - because the "pharmacy" area is large and not intuitively organized. I never was able to find the Windex despite scouring over all of the household cleaners aisles twice. I needed a new vacuum as well and found that the brand and model selection was pretty limited. Finally, the time spent in line at the register was too long for the store being not so full - when you have a line stacked 3-4 customers deep, it's time to open more registers. So, in all, a large, clean, well-stocked though not too well-organized Target. Tops just about every Walmart I've been to around the state (though I haven't been to the local one, I imagine this still holds true). The fresh grocery is really nice and worth a trip on its own. (I'd be interested to see a price comparison with the local supermarkets.) A good home decor selection to choose from as well. I'll be going back :-) read more

Get yelled at for taking a sign down with correct price on it even though they can't be bothered to send someone to check even though they say they do. They don't. I was just in this Target the other day, and I found everything I needed. Despite the fact that I went in at around 8 pm (which was after a long day of customers shuffling around the store), I found every aisle to be clean and everything to be in order. The signs above the aisles were very helpful and made my trip much shorter. I was able to get in and out in under half an hour, even though I needed to buy all sorts of things. The prices were reasonable, with a large $1 clearance area near the front where I found a lot of fun little items and some yummy food. There was also a little cafe in this Target, which I didn't have a chance to visit during the time I was there. The checkout was very quick and and all of the employees greeted me with a smile and were as helpful as they could be. All in all, this Target really made my dreaded late-night shopping run much better. The staff being courteous, the cleanliness of the store, and simplicity of the aisles and layouts made the trip a great success. read more

I did about 70 percent of all my christmans shopping here this year, and I was able to find almost everything I needed. In previous years I would shop around to see who had the best deals on certain things, and time after time I always seemed to find the best deals at Target. In previous years, but also this year was no different!! They had the best deals on many things and actually has a wider selection of certain stuff then Walmart does for certain things. Like a certain toy corvette remote control car one of my sons has been wanting forever! I looked everywhere and couldn't find it anywhere until I came to Target Or even a rechargable phillips-Norelco shaving razor I know my boyfriend will absolutely love! And I find that target also has more helpful and friendly sales associates then Walmart, and that really makes a big difference when your trying to find so many different presents for so many different people on your list. Many of the gifts I bought for a lot the adults on my Christmas list were all clothing or accessessories types of items and I find that Target had a much bigger selection of these, and also the quality seemed better then walmart's overall. Another thing, Target stores a re a lot cleaner!! There isn't stuff thrown all over the shelves and isles like there has been when I've shopped at certain Walmart locations - especially during the hectic holiday season. I think Target in general cares more about its appearance and makes sure that they always present a neat and clean shopping experience for the customers there. Target also had lower items then Walmart on a few items I bought which h did kind of surprise me a little, but pleasantly surprised. PS why only one other 5-star review written here? I love target however the fitting room attendant was EXTREMELY RUDE. She was an older woman with hey west Indian accent. I also asked one of the ladies stocking the make up department about a particular item because the entire NYX line was out of stock and she told me they're backed up and she's going home so she's not sure if they have any or not . They need to work on their staff. read more
