They don't want to assist you but just tell you it's over there and points finger in a direction. This is BY FAR the worst run target I have been to. WHENEVER I go to this Target there is a line through, I am not exaggerating, nearly to the end of the store of people who are waiting in line to use either of the three or four self check outs and the two regular check outs. Ridiculous. This is in a high traffic area (Manchester), yet Target can't install more self check outs? Today I tried to go in for one product, however, I saw the line and prompty walked out. The Manchester Walmart is significantly busier than this Target, however, they manage to keep their lines short. Anyways I will be supporting Walmart from now on. read more

I like this target it's quick. I can find my stuff quick yeah I like it. The only thing I don't like is kind of customer support not that they're not happy but they are helpful. I do recommend going there if you're on a rush not that much because it's way too big, but they have a lot of stuff But you have to know if they sell what you like what you and what you always buy. read more

Great return process for after holiday returns, very organized and not chaotic. The store layout us different than other locations I'm CT that I'm more familiar with but overall, pretty organized and clean. There were alt of associates on the floor removing holiday merchandise and they were helpful when asked a question. Check out area was well labeled for registers vs. self checkout. The drive up customer service is awful... unprofessional and rude when you ask a question regarding the order. Marion has an terrible attitude, won't look up from her electronics and acts as if the customer is an inconvenience to her. However, her supervisor was pleasant and made it right. Normal Target with a small grocery section. Not as big as the SUPER TARGETS at home but they had what I needed for our stay in the area. The staff was very helpful as I had to ask several to find items my wife had on my list. No plastic bags at checkout but a very nice reusable target bag that you can use. read more

Long lines to checkout EVERYTIME I go, long line for customer service, their clothes are junk, all polyester plastic cheap clothes. Their shoes are junk, one broke the first week wearing it. I made the mistake of going in here yesterday 2/18/24. I was looking for a new beard trimmer, and when I got through the chaotic parking lot and through the near endless waves of bubble headed teenagers and snotty soccer moms, I noticed the self check out line was very long as it always is. Once I managed to find the shaving section there was no men's section except for one small row of razor blades and no trimmers to be found. I ended up promptly leaving and going to the Walgreens just down the road and found exactly what I was looking for much easier and probably cheaper too. Will never return here again. read more

Our granddaughter really needed to show us what LankyBox merchandise is. We sought the assistance of an employee in the toy department after we failed to locate it ourselves. She looked it up on her phone and it showed 2 Mystery Boxes in stock. She showed us where they would be but as luck would have it, they were not there. Our granddaughter wants 2 specific characters so the mystery box is not an option yet. She has gotten mystery boxes of other brands' characters and is always excited about opening them as long as she already has the characters that are important to her. I visited to grocery section to look for Good & Gather Confetti Cake oatmeal. I received a free sample of it recently and loved it! Target is the only store I know of that sells it and they had it in stock. I was very happy! I'm not normally an oatmeal eater but this stuff is too good! When we entered the store, the line was really long. Luckily for us, it was much shorter by the time we were ready to check out. TIP: The long line is for the self-checkout to only. You can walk right up to any of the cashiers that are open. It isn't the most efficient checkout experience & is the main reason I don't shop there often. Check the dates, I've noticed so many expired products lately. I never really checked the dates before I went to buy the Naked juice we normally get and the dates were from summer of last year. That's 7 months expired. Fully stocked but couldn't buy any because they were all expired. My roommates said the same thing about the sour cream, and today I noticed the chicken nuggets were also months expired. Well I for one like this Target. My friend and I just stopped by the other day during our lunch break for some much needed supplies and I found it to be very well stocked. I was excited to see everything that is released for Valentine's day this year, and had no trouble locating the holiday section towards the back. Sadly, this target misses the mark (pun fully intended!) The shelves are never stocked, aisles usually blocked with boxes, it's dirty, the Starbucks inside makes awful drinks, no employee seems to care. I love love love Target, but this one has been a constant disappointment for years now. I'm not sure if it is because management doesn't care or there is a lack of crew to support the store's needs, whatever it may be I wish they would address it so that I and many others can fall back from Amazon and Walmart (good Lawd the latter is worse)but, Shout outs to the Torrington, Bristol and Southington Target stores they seem to have it all figured out. read more

Frustrating that you always wait in line regardless of the day/time you visit, and frequently have issues getting Cartwheel discount barcode to scan on self scanner checkouts. I've never come to this store and had to wait anything LESS than 15-20 minutes in line. This Target is not busier than any of the other ones that I've gone to but for some reason there's always a huge line at the checkout with a dictator like employee directing people. They don't have a separate line for the self check out so everybody has to go in one long line that literally goes all the way down past the card section. Won't be back. read more

I truly love Target and the Manchester location is no different. I will always go the Target route over Walmart every day of the year. In Manchester there really isn't any comparison between the two. The layout of this location is great and true to Target form it is also very clean. This Target is a bit smaller, but it has everything that I need. The parking lot can be quite a cluster on the weekend. It's just a big cut through for Lowes and to miss a couple of traffic lights. I tend to avoid it on the weekends because of this. My go to target, but I have never felt so uncomfortable when one of the staff members approached my friend about her taking bags she paid for in the self check out.... he ran up to her came so close to her ignoring the 6ft apart, he could've at least pulled her to the side rather than announce it to the whole store even though she wasn't doing anything wrong.... before that he had yelled at an employee for not monitoring us since we went to the self check out station together and I guess it was one at a time? This location in particular is always restocking during business hours making shopping such a headache! It's impossible to shop with a cart, especially when you have little ones with you. It's like this everyday of the week! It's so frustrating! Then the associates who are trying to break down pallets and stock shelves get annoyed with you as you try navigate around them to grab/look for an item. Don't get me wrong I love target as much as the next girl, but this target is so poorly managed. Since the pandemic every time I come in here the line has been into the beauty section. I tried picking up an order but there was only one woman working the returns, exchanges, and pick up so the line was halfway down the aisle. When I tried to do drive by pick up I waited for 20 minutes and didn't see a single person get their order. This was in no way easy or efficient. I have lived in several different states and travel quite frequently and I have never seen a Target like this. Like others have said - it's a mess and it total disarray. Most of the employees are not friendly, half the shelves are bare, and nothing is in the right place. I should've taken pictures...it looked ransacked. This Target has a decent selection and dedicated employees, but the floor never seems quite clean enough, in the main store, bathrooms, and even the attached Starbucks. Meanwhile, the mens section often has clothes on the floor and unfolded on shelves. I'm not exactly sure why I feel compelled to write a review for Target at 1:50am while lying in bed, but here goes nuthin! Target is truly a one-stop-shop for me. I was able to take care of 90% of my Christmas shopping there in one fell swoop, and I didn't even have to spend a fortune. I always have great luck with their clothing, their home furnishings are really stylish, and I'm thrilled that they now have groceries. Did I mention they also have coupons on their site, and deals on their Cartwheel app? Another great thing this Target has is Deshaun. You will normally find Deshaun happily manning the café register, but sometimes he's helping out at the regular checkout registers. This guy has a fantastic attitude, and I love seeing his familiar face when I shop there! I just don't know how to spell his name. I live right down the street from this Target, so the location is perfect for me. True, the parking lot is awkward, but it's also not the worst parking lot configuration in Manchester (I'm lookin at YOU, Michaels/PetSmart/Ulta lot!). Over the years I have devised my own strategy for where to park at Target in order to enter and exit swiftly. I can't tell you my secret, of course, or else you'd all be taking my parking spot. This review is strictly customer service related, as we all can already agree that Target carries everything we need, and everything we never knew we needed so much. I called the store today to see if they had a product in stock. The lady who answered the phone was older, someone's lovely grandmother I am sure, and not familiar with technology. I got hung up on five times while being redirected, before asking to speak to a manager. Let's be honest, it's pretty difficult to get upset with an older person who is trying their best, but the manager who answered my call, Andy, was still apologetic for the hassle. Andy answered the phone so cheerfully that you would have thought all of his training had prepared him for the one moment I would call him and ask about canning jars. He was super helpful, found the product I needed, personally set it aside even though it technically wasn't eligible for pick up, told me he would absolutely price match the website, and then even went as far as to notify another manager on duty, Megan, so I would have zero trouble when I came in. When I arrived at the service desk to picking up my jars, the woman at the desk was training in that area, so she had to ask someone else, Brittany, for help with a few things, but she was so incredibly pleasant and apologetic for the delays. Brittany called Megan to ask where my canning jars were awaiting pick up, went to retrieve them, and I had them within five minutes. Honestly, I can't remember the last time I saw teamwork like this anywhere. It was pretty flawless. So, bravo to you Manchester Target team, bravo to you! read more

Just moved to Hartford from Enfield and couldnt wait to find my local Target. Noticed a sign on the door boasting extended hours (open until 12am Mon-Fri) until Sept 15th. Guess they're staying open for the beginning of school, which is great! Upon looking around suddenly it dawned on me that all Targets r laid out the same! Sweeeeet! Had a return to make from the Enfield store, so stepped over to Customer Service and was handled quick and courteous just like I love it! Headed over to housewares to pick up some items that were way too expensive at Bed Bath and Beyond then headed to my favorite section, Groceries! Found all my usual groceries and something that I thought wasnt on the market anymore, Kraft 2% Sharp Cheddar block. Yummmmmm! Was sooooo glad to find it, I got 2!
