Worst service I've ever gotten from a place like this. Here's the story:
Yesterday I was looking through some junkmail when I found an ad for target with some shoes on sale that I really liked. I went online, found the shoes (that were only available in the stores) picked out my size, and then looked up locations that had them in stock. Two targets came up: Lynwood, which claimed to have complete stock in the shoe, and Northgate, which claimed to have limited stock in the shoe. I decided to drive to lynnwood, even though it was a bit farther, because it said they for sure had stock. I brought the ad with me to reference. I felt I was very well prepared. When I got there, I went to the shoe section, and I couldn't find the shoes. I waited a while to see if a person who worked there would come along to help, but to no avail. Walked around the store a while even looking for someone, still no service. Finally, I went to the technology center (of course) where three people were all kind of crowded around a TV talking, asked one of them to help me with the shoes, and told me to go meet someone there while they called it in (okay, long story short: it took FOREVER to get someone to just meet me in the shoe area to help me find these shoes!) A lady finally reached me, and I showed her the ad. We walked around looking in the section for a while, until I convinced her to go to the back to look for me. This took around 35-40 minutes before she came back telling me they didn't have anything. I argued with her that on online it had said they did, but she just kinda shrugged me off. I asked to talk to the manager, who pretty much just told me off, saying "sorry it's not like I can make them materialize" fair enough. but you don't need to be rude, do you? Anyways, I told her I drove all the way up there for them, so the least she should do is probably change the website (Here we are a day later and the website still claims they are instock). Also, when asked to have them call nearby stores to see if they had it, (which took an extra 15 minutes), they got back to me saying there was nothing. I was annoyed, discouraged, upset I had just waisted gas AND a big portion of my time... On the way out, I went to customer service to see if I could leave some kind of feedback on my experience. I was referenced to a lady who was suppose to help me, and literally she just walked away and started helping someone else with a cash register. I then left and called customer service, who took my email and told me that's all they could do (I never even really got the chance to explain my story, I never received an email, but I also couldn't really even understand what the lady on the phone was even saying..)
Anyways, the next day, refusing to be let down about this, I checked the website again (which hadn't changed despite the incident yesterday). I CALLED Northgate Target this time, spoke to a person who very quickly found the shoes I wanted IN MY SIZE (yesterday, at lynnwood, they told me no stores, including northgate, had them). Picked them up today, AND found the swimsuit in my size that I couldn't find at the lynnwood store.
Moral of the story is that Lynnwood Target has horrible service, and what I experienced, horrible selection. If you have a choice, I would go to the Northgate Target no matter what. read more
