The store and restrooms are clean and orderly and it's easy to maneuver the aisles. It's in a great location as well

I went into Target to look at purchasing a Consumer Cellular phone and was pretty confused on the different selections and a little intimidated that I didn't have a knowledge base to really hold a decent conversation of what we needed. .......And then along came CJ, !!! He was able to explain everything to me in detail. Let me know what it was we needed gig wise based on our conversation - reviewed going online and setting up service.... I couldn't have asked for a better customer service. Upon making the purchase, he told me to reach out to the phone number indicated, and that I could also return if I had any further questions (and let me know what the return policies were just in case it wasn't the phone for us). The world has been pretty upside down since Covid, and it's pretty clear that folks in his position probably aren't always treated with the utmost respect, but he certainly did make sure that I was. An oasis of sorts... for those who want something better than WalMart. While a little more of a drive than I'd like (my son goes to school in VT), this Target is worth the trip. It's very clean & well laid out... but I'm taking a few points off for repackaging electronics as new. We were looking for a combo DVD/VCR for him to take back to his dorm & picked up the only model left on the shelf. It appeared to be brand new from the way it was taped up. Once we were back at his college (25 minutes away), we opened it up & saw that it was NOT in it's original packaging. This should have been properly marked & discounted if it was an open box item AS IT WAS NOT FACTORY SEALED. As a former electronics salesperson THIS IS A BIG NO-NO in my book. Luckily, there was no problem with the player. Next time I make a purchase at this store, I will ask an associate AT THE STORE to verify whether or not the item I'm purchasing is factory sealed. read more

First of all I came here Bc I'm visiting family & ran out of "happy baby" brand baby formula. First thing I see when I walk in is how messy and out of place everything is. Clothes on the floor, dirty isles. Meat on a shelf in the makeup isle..? Then two idiot teenagers are racing the motorized handicap carts down the isles and stopping in the middle of isles trying to get attention from people. They passed by at least 3 store associates while I was walking behind them. (Stuck behind them bc they were clogging up the isles). No one working said anything to them. How is that allowed? There are handicapped and elderly people that actually need those carts to get their shopping done. It is not okay for those to be used as toys! Back to the formula....They had none on the shelf. I asked an associate if there was back stock he said no and told me to go to service desk and they could tell me what other targets in the area had it in stock. I walked up to service desk, the young girl working there didn't have a bra on. Then proceeds to tell me she can't look up what other targets have it, so I ask her for a list of other store numbers and she tells me "I don't know." The manager of this store must not be training these kids Bc clearly NONEE of them understand what customer service is. This type of treatment would never happen at a target in Nashville!! The girl should've offered to google the surrounding stores and help me call to find out if they had any left on their shelves...because her "I don't know" response is unacceptable. "I don't know" isn't an answer...she should've said "let me find out". The only other store that carries the formula is Whole Foods. So needless to say once we finally found a Whole Foods near we drove an hour and a half to get it. Screw target. Next time I'll drive out to Whole Foods. read more

Pretty lame, dirty, crowded, poor customer service.

This is a specific concern about a specific marketing practice at the Target store in Keene, NH, although I would expect it can be found everywhere. This morning, we went shopping and decided to pick up some coffee, if there were any on sale. When we went to the coffee aisle, we found that the labeling practice made it so that a degree in higher mathematics was required to compare prices. Various brands of coffee and even grinds and roasts within brands featured pricing by ounce, pound, and quart. How is it possible to compare the price of a quart of brewed coffee with an ounce of coffee grounds? It is clear that customers are not supposed to be able to make easy price comparisons. This is most discouraging to find in a store that's supposed to be consumer aware. read more

Coming from a Target free Cape Cod , I was looking forward to shopping in a Target. I wasn't the least bit impressed. There were a lot of half empty shelves, unpriced items or in the wrong bin so incorrectly priced, and overall some very messy departments. On the plus side, I left with a full wallet. read more

So much for customer service. Here follow the story line and see what you think. 1. I purchased a Blue Ray/DVD/Digital Copy of Sherlock Holmes so I could add the Digital Copy to my iPad in January 2012. 2. I opened the package up and found out the Digital Copy had expire March 2011. No where on the packaging did it say there was an expiration date. 3. I called Warner Brother's customer Service and they said to return the item because they had informed Target in January of 2011 that all Copies that included Digital Copy need to be returned. OK this is where the customer service went south. I arrived at Target in Keene NH today and wanted to return the item. I was met by Irene in the Customer service. I explained the situation and that I call everyone (Even their customer service) and was met with a condescending attitude. I got a lecture on Copy RIght infringement and Federal Law. (If she was such an expert in Commercial Trade and Piracy Laws why is she working at Target and wearing a post it label for a name badge.) She even tried to deflect the issue on their customer service saying, "They are in India, what the heck do they know about our laws?!" I went around and around with her for 20 minutes when I finally asked for a Manager. She got this look on her face started to do the little rolled head bob like "I know more than you". I then spoke to the manager and got stuck on the phone again with their customer service by phone. (India) After 20 more minutes with them their Manager Michael finally saved the situation. He decided just gave me a credit for above the purchase price. Now here is my gripe... The total amount of money we were discussing was $7.99. So for over 40 minutes Target wasted my time and the time of their employees over little amount. I don't know which ticked me off more, Irene's attitude or Target's Policy on handling expired merchandise. Standing behind Federal Trade Laws are not an excuse since they could be in violation of Consumer Protection Laws. Either way, they need to pick and choose their battles.... read more

This experience I had at this target was moderate until i spoke with the Store Manager after completing my transaction. I had made an $87 credit card purchase and the Cashier Failed to verify that I was the owner of the card. I spoke with the manager who said it was Target Policy, that the cashier do not touch your credit card. I attempted to speak with someone in the corporate office but ended speaking with a customer relations representative in India I believe. This practice of not touching the credit card is only going to enable credit card fraud at Target Store and other retailers that abide by the same practice. read more

This particular Target store is a dream. Clean, good lay-out and of course, big! We came here to pick up some things for Christmas and I was astounded at how put together it looked - especially given that the day before was Black Friday. The shelves didn't look pillaged...there weren't red shirts in every aisle restocking and taking up space...it was a nice breath of fresh air in the chaos that is Christmas shopping. Ouch. I ordered 3 dresses from target.co, they arrived in 2 shipments, 2 and a half weeks ago and 2 weeks ago. I tried to return the goods a week ago friday according to the info on their packing slip. No go. they have a glitch in their system so my orders are not showing up. I am only offered a store creit. the cs peron at the store called the 800 # only to be told I would have to wait. They also hung up on her.(This took 45 minutes) I called the 800 # Monday to be told an email would be available in 2 days as well as an offer of a return label. Hold for 10 minutes. nope. I went to the keene nh store (Darius was great, Target not so much)i of 3 dresses could be returned. 1/2 hour later the store manager Nikki was sorry, but there was nothing she could do to help. 6 emails, all with a computer generated response offer nothing. Today i hung up ad=fter being on hold twice for 10 minutes. I have now been on hold for 22. My bill is due, so I have to pay it and am still stuck w/ 2 crappy dresses. I am writing this about my visit to the Keene, N.H Target store this morning about 8:45. I went there to try and buy Consumer Cellular Sim card as I had never been in this store before I stopped at service desk at front door to find out where the cell phone department was I was told far end of store so off I went to the far end of the store. I am 78 years old and it is a large store so it took a minute or two to get there plus not being in best of health. When I got there no one at desk so I called out hello a few times and finally a young man who had been watching me all this time finally walked down to see what I wanted. When I told him he acted like he really did not have much of a clue and when I told him I did not want to buy a phone but wanted the card and to get hooked up to Consumer Cellular he said that the tech that does that would not be in till around 10 AM. This did not make me very happy so I left the store. What I would like to know why is there was nothing saying phones could not be serviced till 10 so people would not have to walk the full length of the store for nothing and if posting is not possible why when I told the 2 guys at the front desk what I was looking for why then was I not told save the trip we can not help for another hour and 15 minutes. If in someone's head they think fine he will see something else and buy that on the way so let him walk and get mad after he is told his trip was for nothing they are very wrong. This turned into 2 trips in your store today my first and my last and just because you can not post things like this my next stop is Facebook to post this message. read more

Reading the previous reviews of this target in keene made me laugh aloud. Come on folks, we are reviewing target what do you expect? Of course the quality isn't on par with more expensive better made products, that's why you go to target, to get cheaper things knowing full well that they will not last forever. Duh. I've been to many targets in new Hampshire amd this one hands down is the nicer one I've been into. The weekends are very busy so if you're looking for a nice relaxed store visit go in the morning or evening during the week. Also a no brainer. I've had nothing but pleasant exchanges with staff, who have always helped me find things and also been very sweet with my kids even when they are screaming their heads off. There is also a Starbucks here which some do not have and we all know a trip to target isnt complete without a nice cafinated beverage in hand!! The clearance rack for women and men are always well stocked and I find great deals there for self and husband. Awesome kids and baby selection as well. The store is always clean, only time it gets chaotic is on weekends and that makes sense because people are basically throwing things all over with no respect for the people working there. You can take the extra 1 minute to put shoes you tried on back in box you know. Wouldn't kill you. If you're looking for a great target go to keene, the one in nashua is pretty lame. read more

This was my third try at the store. Every experience was awful. The pricing is always incorrect according to the cart wheel app. The manager Laura is a nasty on helping and not a very good at her job. The first time I went there was a discrepancy on price instead of actually going and checking the aisle and looking at the tag that was marked She was rude and insisted that was the correct price and that was it. After leaving the store I did leave a survey about my experience through Target. Yesterday we went to target again pricing was off. There was a offer on Mountain Dew by four for $12 with an additional sign of 25% off so naturally my thinking is there's a big sign for 25% off and when you buy four for 12 I'm thinking I get 25% off $12. We purchased two items for our cats cat litter as well as cat food which qualified in this week's flyer for a five dollar gift card. When we rang up the Mountain Dew and realize the shady Pricing And we're not getting 25% off the $12 we decided not to purchase the mountain dew. The cashier was new and again Laura the manager was on duty she would only briefly come over and assist the cashier again very rude. I believe she recognized us from our survey we sent in To target. And I strongly believe she voided out the five dollar gift card to get back at us. We left and came back the next day boy what a mistake. We got to the register again pricing is off again Laura insisted that that was the price instead of looking at the Sign where the item is located and wouldn't take the time to go and actually look at the shelf price. I just wanted to pay and leave at this point. We used the five dollar gift card we got the day previous which the access panel had not been scratched off and it was stating on the register that it was not valid or had been used We explained we had just gotten it the day prior for purchasing the cat food and cat litter At this point Laura came back over and stated she remembered us from yesterday and we purchased Mountain Dew and decided not to purchase it so the gift was void obviously she voided it after we left because of our survey and at this time we explained the gift card was for the cat litter and cat food she Insisted that it was for the Mountain Dew. I stated to her why is it every time we come here we have a problem. At this point I said I really can't stand the store and a heavyset Man name is Sunny said to me why don't you leave my store which I replied I would be glad to He said that if we came back he would contact law-enforcement and that we were no longer allowed in his store. We listen to him and left the store. If he had just look at looked at the receipt from the day prior which we had he would've seen that the five dollar gift card was for the cat litter and cat food. This store this store is run by rude Unprofessional and incompetent managers. They all need a course on customer service as well as human decency, and actually taking the time and getting off their butts and verifying what a customer says and looking at the incorrect pricing they have on their isles. I am now calling corporate and filing a formal complaint. I'm out five dollars which is ridiculous because I earned it. I have shopped at target at other locations and I had nothing but wonderful experiences and anytime there was ever an issue with pricing the manager at those locations had no problem adjusting prices. Laura and sunny should not have a job anywhere that involves customers. Stay away from the store there is a Walmart right up the road and I can assure you there is staff is friendly professional And they do not mind doing their jobs.. Now I have to go and take an hour out of my day to file a formal complaint and I will get my five dollar gift card I can assure you. The need to relabel Customer Service "Wait here while I ignore you then I'll be rude to you." Thank god she didn't wait on me but the woman next to me had to deal with woman who's name began with "M" (wont put the entire name in because it might be deleted). She was rude and continued to push the envelope on how not to handle a customer. Luckily my issue was I was returning something that was broken in the box. The woman next to me was returning a baby shower gift with a receipt. I will just say the present wasn't needed anymore if you get the drift. Unfortunately Maureen would not take the item back because the woman had too many returned items already. The item was not opened and she had the receipt. But the customer service woman stood her ground and wouldn't take it back. Now lets put this into perspective, item being returned was about $15.00. So "M" ticked off a customer who spends a lot of money at Target, wasted almost 30 minutes of her time and the customers, and in the end the customer left upset. Let me be clear right off of the bat that I SERIOUSLY detest these type of stores & by that I mean the type of stores that are absolutely cavernous & pander to most Americans love of cheap, made-overseas-in-sweatshop-garbage. If that is your thing you will LOVE it here. Seriously like 100 different styles & colors of women's flip flops. Socks ALONE are ridiculous. Why does there NEED to be 100 different colors & patterns of women's sneaker socks?? I don't consider myself an extreme minimalist, although I suppose next to most Americans I am, I just don't see the "need" for sooooo much unnecessary stuff. People think they "need" one of everything to make them happy & stores like this just pander to that & make it worse. And I can't stand that I can pretty much get lost in this store because they are so insanely big. And as huge as this store is, they really do a terrible job of stocking the two things we've recently been here for. My son needed a rain coat. They carried three girls rain coats & by three I mean one style, one color, three sizes left. NO boys rain coats. NONE. Not toddler boys, not baby boys, not children's boys. NONE. *sigh* Honestly I can't find a rain coat anywhere though. I've been to consignment shops, Target, & JCPenny, even Family Dollar (which sells cheap as dirt & cheap quality clothes). It's the rainy season, why is it impossible to find a rain coat, even in a cavernous Target?? Came here again for sneakers for my son. Found ONE pair in his size that wasn't completely cheap garbage. Wanted to also pick him up a pair of hiking shoes but they didn't carry those in his size (those they only had in stock in two sizes). But they were doing a buy one get one 50% kids shoes sale so I figured we'd get our daughter another pair of sneakers that way when she outgrows her current pair she'd already have one new, bigger pair. And those were ridiculous too. There was only ONE style & color in her shoe size. I mean seriously, with such a HUGE store FULL of sooooooooo much stuff how is it possible that finding something simple like a pair of sneakers, hiking boots, or a rain coat is like pulling teeth?? So incredibly aggravating. I mean, I consider that stuff necessities - sneakers, hiking shoes, rain coats - those are necessities. NOT 100 different styles of flip flops & 100 different colors & patterns of sneaker socks - that is just over kill, but "over kill" is what they do have. *sigh* If you have time to pop in here every few weeks (I don't) you can probably get good deals on the clearance racks although JCPenny's mark-downs are much cheaper & I feel like JCPenny's quality is better too. I know they have to ask, but corporate PLEASE stop making your cashiers to ask their customers if they want to open a Target card. If I wanted to open one, I'd ask to open one. It's just annoying. And again, corporate, get with the times!! RECYCLE for goodness sake. You produce cheap crap in sweatshops overseas, the absolute LEAST you could do is some green-washing by recycling your paper & cardboard boxes! The store seems messy although I've only been in here twice recently & both times on weekends so it could just been that customers make a mess & they don't have the staff to keep up with it. read more

Silly to write a review for a Target but...This store needs a new management team to get shelves straightened and employees busy. It is strange to literally step over small piles in isles (I gave up trying to set them all somewhere) and then consistently see three employees (supervisors?) standing together visiting, in front of the jewelry counter, when you go to check out. The last time we visited, there was a looong spill of coffee that went up the entire isle when you walk into the store. There were four employees stomping on it with paper towels but no sign of a mop to truly clean it up. It just seems that no one is in charge. last time l bought a flat screen tv, the dude brought it from out back and even tho the dude said the crush on the side of carton was of no concern when l got home sure enough the glass screen was broken, had to return and they all but looked at me suspiciously, weird. so today a microwave on sale, a bit of a corner crushed on the outside of the box but it was the better looking of 2 on the shelf. l get it home and sure enough the damn metal of the rear corner is dented in pretty well. SOME one in their warehouse out back has anger issues... l am here to tell you. (l worked in one years ago and many times hires who work in them do!) l also reflect back to a woman at returns being intense and rude many years back when l brought another item back, l do not recall what it was but point being.. FIND THE IDIOT BREAKING STUFF IN THE BACK!!!! this concludes my rant, l will make the 21 m trip AGAIN to return it maybe monday. read more
