I am a repeat customer, having bought a wood stove and having had shades installed at my house. Unfortunately, while everyone I spoke with was very friendly, I received no action. When I called, everyone with whom I spoke assured me that they had all of my information and that I would receive some type of communication - nothing. Finally, two months after my initial request, a very nice person reached out. We arranged a time for her to come and measure my windows. She wrote up a detailed agreement, and I promptly paid half. That was in early June. She did explain that they had to order the custom shades. Since then - nothing. When I emailed her and her supervisor asking for a simp0le update last week, I thought that I might hear something - silence. Perhaps Friends of the Sun is overwhelmed with business and so profitable that they do not need to worry about communicating with customers but, to me, this is poor business. Everyone deserves to be treated courteousy. An email response takes about 30 seconds, unless you are long-winded like me :)

We left the bowls at the register as we continued to browse the shop. When she went to pay for them the owner looked at the price and said it must be wrong. She tried to look them up but couldn't find them in her inventory and told her she better leave them and not buy them. I stood up for my niece and told the owner she should honor the price and she told me that this isn't Walmart and once again insisted we leave the bowls. From the very start, he was so kind and very welcoming. He engaged in casual conversation with me in the most comforting and friendly way. He was adorable and sweet. I was just looking around and seeing what they had and he acted like I was the most important customer. I had no intention of buying anything - since I was just window shopping that day, but I really wanted to support him and his business and ended up purchasing a very cute pair of elephant earrings. I love that proceeds from this shop benefits a hospice care facility and that they had a parking lot for patrons. On my visit they had some ugly Christmas sweaters, variety of jewelry pieces, and coats. Thy also had misc knick knacks, furnitures, children and men's items. Pricing for items seemed reasonable here. It's a cozy thrift shop and I think it's worth a visit depending on what you're looking for.
