Went to customer service yesterday for a price match on a car seat I bought last week. The girl very rudely told me they were not doing price match this week. Not even to target.com. She told me I would physically have to return the car seat then go find one on the floor and repurchase. Come to find out that they were supposed to price match to target.com and I had to call corporate to get it fixed. Very bad experience and she should not be working in customer service if she cannot be nice to people or follow the companies policies. read more

This review is solely for the check out service I recently experienced. To begin with there was only ONE open register with the rest being self check out. I had a coupon that wouldn't scan to my app thereby forcing me to go to the ONE open register vs using the self check out which is a breeze. The lady behind the counter didn't acknowledge me and no greeting was uttered from her. She had no clue about the coupon and how to apply it. She kept repeating that there was nothing she could do about the system not scanning my coupon and finally, after I told her wouldn't pay unless my coupon was deducted, she called for assistance. The assistance was of no help whatsoever! Finally we went to customer service and they were able to handle the issue with no back talk or smugness!! Thank you customer service!!!! The lady in this review is an older Caucasian lady, has massive pimples on her nose and has an attitude you can detect a mile away. If you see her do yourself a favor and use self check out. read more

me start of saying that Target is one of my fav stores or big department store whatever you want to call it. Everywhere I go any state I have to go to the local target. Target has everything and since I only really use Burt's Bees hygiene gear. This target In old Jville. Is a nice size and the Burt Bee's section was really good. I give this Target 3 stars. read more

This is a smaller Target with a pharmacy but no full grocery. Target always has all the basics I need and more. The store is always clean and it's easy to get in and out much quicker than either of the Walmarts in town. During the week the store can feel pretty empty but on payday weekends watch out for much larger crowds. They're replacing the food corner with a Starbucks, it's not finished yet(10/17/15) but in-store Starbucks usually accept Target cards and not Starbucks cards. read more

I shop at target at least a few times a month. This location is conveniently located so I go more often than I probably should! It's very clean and well organized. The staff has always been friendly and helpful. My only complaint is they never seem to have more than a couple check out lanes open. read more

I would go to this Target more often if it wasn't for the constant dining over the loud speaker everytime the phone rang. I don't see why the customers need to hear how long it takes for the employees to answer the phone. read more

The renovation is a bust. I don't like the layout and the selection of shoes look cheap and it's just not as good as it used to be. I miss the old snack bar and the layout and selection was much better. Such a shane but good news is I will save money. read more

Customer service = 1 star. The store = 4 stars. I placed an order online for in store pick up. The website said itll be ready in 2 hrs and it ended up being ready in 30min! I go to the order pickup area and theres 2 females that just looks up and back down again. Didnt greet me. Wasn't very welcoming. Anyways one lady takes me and gives me half of my order. I ordered 4 boxes of diapers and 1 table cloth. She just gave me 2 boxes of diapers and dismissed me. I told her I'm missing 2 other boxes and table cloth. She told me they are sold out on the table cloth. She found my other 2 boxes and told me they placed it away from my other order. Dont know why. She was on the work tablet phone thing so she should have known my order wasn't complete. Since the table cloth I wanted wasn't in stock in decide to check what was in stock. Guess what I found? THE CLOTH I ORDERED online. They didnt really look hard. So yeah the place is nice as long as you dont deal with the staff. read more

Agree with most of these reviews. They aren't the best Target I've been to. Customer service is way behind and needs some attention. It's small for the population size in Jville and needs a revamp. It smells like BO with mold and urine, that's the best way to put it. I might drop in for a quick visit but not my top choice to shop. Let's say I rather not.... read more

Atleast for what I've seen in the baby isle they don't change price tags and so much stuff is in the wrong spot/stocked wrong/ wrong item. Double check the item to price tag to make sure it's the right item ( and amount ) very poorly managed when it comes to marking things right. Besides that, I haven't seen much wrong. read more

I would probably visit this target more if it had a better grocery section. There's hardly anything there but snack foods, candy and maybe one or two refrigerators. There's target brand groceries I used to buy all the time but since moving here, they don't really have them. The bathrooms are always a mess and they only ever have one or two registers opened. I don't really go here unless I'm looking for decorations or some clothes. read more

Went to this Target to buy several items including a clearance item advertised on the Target website that specifically said "In store Only". The Vtech Tote and GO was advertised as a clearance item. I tried to check out only to be told clearance items had to be handled by "Customer Service", went over to Customer Service only to be told that this Target does not honor clearance pricing from the website. No reason, no explanation just we won't honor the website clearance pricing. SO I left went to Walmart and spent $150.00. So Target saved the 8 bucks by refusing to honor a clearance price, but lost a $150. sale. DO NOT FALL FOR THE "BAIT and SWITCH scheme at the Target website. Shame on you Target. read more

I've definitely been to and worked at better Targets than this one. It's nearly impossible to get assistance from an employee. If you know what you want and where to find it, then you're set. If you don't, be prepared to wander the aisles until you find it yourself. The employees usually dodge me or don't make eye contact as they rush past so I don't even try to get assistance there anymore. They have a nice cooking section, and the DVDs are nice. They have great clearance clothes prices, but they're usually picked clean of the good stuff before I find them. The plus size section sucks. Big girls like to dress pretty too! Get rid of the granny frocks. The shoe section is usually a chaotic torn up mess with half the shoes in the aisles, or missing boxes, or shoe pairs, etc. Not my first choice in shopping Jacksonville. Other Targets in other towns are usually my first choice. This one is seriously disappointing. read more

This store is laughable at best. I love shopping at Target and all other cities in which I have lived, Target was always large and had great selections of groceries, clothes and electronics. This store always seems to be sorely lacking in almost every department in the store. Every time I ask why they don't carry this or that like other Target stores do, they respond they are just too small. The electronics department in this store is always in shambles and there is almost never anyone working there. I am not a fan of Walmart or Kmart, but usually find I have to suck it up and go to one of these locations since this store rarely has what I need without driving to New Bern, Goldsboro or Wilmington Target stores. Considering Jacksonville, NC is the largest city in square miles on all of Eastern NC (even larger than Wilmington, New Bern and Goldsboro), it makes little sense that Target can't invest in a larger store with better selection, especially when the Jacksonville, NC market currently supports 2 SuperWalmarts, a Neighborhood Walmart, 2 Aldi's and quite a few Food Lion stores and a Lowes Food. read more
