We had to return few things and staff was nice and pretty fast helping us at customer service.. then walked around see what all we could come across.. what I thought was cute was the gingerbread houses they had one shaped like a beach house and one turn into target shopping cart! Very cool! This is a smaller Target, but still pretty nice. There is a Starbucks located inside, like most Target's now days. They had a small grocery area. They had an awesome travel area. Unfortunately Mother's Day is being celebrated during the COVID19 virus outbreak this year. Shipping is prolonged and fees online are insane when ordering flowers. Luckily, Target came to the rescue with Online orders offering Drive Up Service in my mother's city. I placed my order this morning and she received all her gifts by noon. I was shocked that there were beautiful flowers available for Drive Up pick up at a affordable price! We received beautiful hot pink roses, Godiva Chocolates and beautiful mugs to enjoy her special weekend. Unfortunately we cannot visit this weekend to celebrate however, Target was able to bring smiles to both of us fulfilling my online order with amazing service. This target is the best target I've ever been to! It has a really good variety of things and their bullseye's playground area is always stocked well. The staff is polite and the store is clean. The Starbucks is pretty tiny so depending on the day it can be a bit of a wait, but it's nothing major. Definitely better than the Walmart on western. read more

I love Target! Although this isn't the best Target I've been to, it still has everything I need! They just recently went through a remodel and added groceries, which I think is awesome! They have Starbucks inside, which is a huge plus! Although, I do miss snacking on popcorn while shopping. They don't have their little foodcourt/snack area by the front :( honestly, that's a bummer for me, but I see a lot of Targets doing that now. So oh well. Every time I've been, the store has been super clean and pretty organized. All their staff has been so kind to me! I've been to guest relations a lot for some return and pick up orders from my baby registry and they've only been so helpful. I was shopping for a new video game and while passing several workers who appeared to be part of the management team I was never greeted. On top of that they walked right past messes throughout the store. Had to call and wait for an employee to come to electronics but once the team member got there he was helpful. The self check out was being run by one person. They were not paying attention. They seemed incredibly bored as they leaned against a pole. The bathing suit aisle could use some organization. The changing section was a mess but there were workers there. They were gossiping loudly and we're not paying attention to people coming in to change. I ended up just walking behind them to go into a room. I had stopped shopping here a while ago but I randomly go back to check on the status. I love this target for more than one reason... There's some good stuff in here and a Starbucks! Yes! Oftentimes you'll find they have a Pizza Hut inside but this takes the cake here! So far as the store in general it was clean and organized. The prices are reasonable and they have a variety of things I especially like their jeans which has come a long way thankfully! They were putting fall items out and placing sales on the summer and spring items. If you are near you may wish to check it out. Walking through the store I didn't pass one employee who didn't ask me if I needed any assistance. I like that because there are times I'm in wee bit hurry and I need to find things fast! The way they did the trading cards on Friday the 2nd was the fairest thing I've ever experienced. Target should get an award for how they handled things. It isn't fair to have 3 items total no matter what it is. It makes sense to have 3 items per set, so i can walk out with 3 NBA, 3 NFL, 3 Vivid Voltage, 3 Hidden Fates. I guess it's my fault I didn't bring my sleeping bag and wait all night. I saw people walking out with bags worth of stuff, these are the same people who are going to sell it for triple the price I bet. So for anyone that plans on coming on Fridays, it's 3 of anything as long as the item looks different. Target doesn't know any better, they are so awesome. It wouldn't be fair to everyone that waits outside to only get 3 items total, that makes too much sense. Who ever supervised this is a genius. The best part yet, is some one cut the line and the lady who supervised somehow didn't notice, how does someone not see when a customer slimes their way in front of others, she was the best at paying attention. When it was addressed, she said "it is what it is." How silly of me to think she was going to look out for the other customers who actually waited. This is a target that already has an average 2.5 stars. I should have expected such management. So pro tip, skip the line and you'll be fine remember "it is what it is!" Went to target for a car seat cushion for my newborn. I see they updated their layout... it's unfortunate that even a facelift can not improve their poor customer service, and long checkout lines. Adding more than a half dozen self checkout was not the answer to your long lines. This time the ridiculous line stretched to stationary. The line layouts are confusing, as the lanes are not lined up, and many individuals feel that waiting in a singular line for the next register to open (because you can not get past the current customer who is checking out at the rear line) is not for them and cut to the front of the lines past those who have been waiting for several minutes. My husband challenged me by waiting in self checkout... well that is absolutely not any faster. And heaven for it you leave room for someone to pass by the registers when entering the store, because someone else is going to see all these people queued and think, "hey must be waiting on someone else, so let me slip right in and check out." Want to ask someone a question? Good luck finding an associate willing to help. read more

Oh, Target, how I love to hate thee... I love Target and their ability to make me want to purchase everything. This store is generally clean and organized (apart from the bathrooms - can we say gross?), but I wish the grocery section had more to offer. The frozen/refrigerated section is sad. However, I hate that this store, at any given moment, only has 2 cash registers open. The lines are long, the shoppers are fussy, and I wish there were an express lane for people like me who don't buy cart loads full of baby crap each time we go in there. From a shopping perspective this Target is great. What I want to brag about is the staff. I cut my finger with a pocket knife in the parking lot of kohl's. I knew Target had open restrooms and since we just moved we didn't have anything at home to even bandage me with. So my husband and I ran inside, I went straight to the bathroom and bled over the sink while he went to buy bandaids and superglue. One worker offered me a Bandaid. I explained the situation and she immediately went and got help. 3 workers rushed to my husband and I's aid to help get the bleeding under control and me bandaged up. Even one of the workers at the self checkout came over to make sure we were okay. Everything ended okay especially with the help of this Target staff. read more

This store is just a few blocks away from 3 schools & a Rec Ctr, but major items like dry erase markers or glue sticks aren't always in stock or easy to find. The store is clean, & has a sufficient amount of staff, but I'd like to see them dispersed around the store. I bought two gift cards for my wife for valentines day. One of them wasn't activated for some reason though it shows I paid for it. I have been waiting in the store for over 45 minutes now and no one has said anything to me. I should have just gone to walmart. Would have had a better experience there. I don't think I will step foot in this target again. They acted as if i hadnt paid for it which I know I did. I bought two 25 dollar gift cards and a valentines day card and the total was 54.91 . This Target store has single handedly turned me away from shopping at Target. Because of this store's incredibly mean, rude and cocky staff I haven't purchased a single thing from Target in well over a year. Honestly, it's been great! My life and home have been all the better for it. When it comes to home decor now, I've just been shopping at different stores online or making the longer drive to places like TJ Maxxs, World Market and HomeGoods and you know what I don't need you Target! Ugh. This saddens me. Everywhere I've lived previously, the Target in town has been super well kept, clean, and the staff friendly. This one is just... Dumpy. Looks outdated inside. The staff isn't very friendly. They're not mean, just... Very short worded and dismissive. Lots of damaged products on the shelves. I bought something yesterday, got it home and noticed after opening it that it was damaged. I went to exchange it today, and every other one on the shelf was also damaged. So I just went to get a refund and I informed the lady behind the counter that the rest were damaged as well and her response was just "oh ok." Me? I would have gotten on my radio and informed the person in that department to please pull them off the shelves. That's the way we worked when I worked retail... Guess it's not that way anymore. This Target makes me sad, because I absolutely abhor Walmart, especially the one just a few lights down from this Target. That Walmart is a health hazard, I swear. I'm hopeful that a new Target will come to town, or this one will get seriously updated. But that's doubtful so I will unfortunately be looking elsewhere for my merchandise. Target is one of my favorite stores so I go to them wherever they are. This one falls short in a couple areas. Sometimes I find the employees helpful and actually ask me if I need any assistance, but that doesn't happen very often...way more often than Walmart though. The cashiers are almost never friendly. In my opinion, if you work in customer service, you have to fake the funk if you don't want to be there or don't like your job. The cashiers need to smile more and greet you. One qualm I have with this particular Target is how small it is and how disorganized the departments are. Most Targets have an outdoor section with patio furniture, BBQs, etc., this one only sells those things in spring and summer.. Also, ALL the Targets I've been in have the baby diapers, wipes, shampoo, etc. in the baby section where the car seats, bottles and formula is, but not here. You have to go to two different parts of the store to get all your baby stuff. Like most Targets, this one is not a hot mess like Walmart. It's clean without products all over the place, on the floor, in the wrong place. The items I want are usually in stock, so I don't have to go elsewhere. If you bring reusable bags, you get 5 cents for each bag you use. Overall, this Target isn't as good as others, but it's still way better than Walmart. read more

Baby section always looks ransacked/empty, they only carry a fraction of what any other Target I've ever been to carries. They apparently do not participate in the GO! International event as they had no idea what I was talking about when I asked when their February line was coming out (William Rast for Target, they don't have it). When I purchased my Pack n' Play here, I asked for assistance as it is a heavy box and I was 8 months pregnant. They sent a elderly man who asked why I couldn't do it myself and acted annoyed that he had to help me. He carried it to checkout and left. After I paid, nobody offered to help and rather then have them call the huffy employee back, I lifted it into a cart and wheeled it out to/into my car alone. ALL employees I've had contact with here have been extremely rude, especially the girl who does returns. Store is dirty too. It's probably worth driving to Wilmington since they're not likely to have what you need here anyway. read more

This Target is definitely the saddest I've ever been in. There's no snack bar with the popcorn smell that makes you want to buy buy buy popcorn even if you don't need it. There is a Starbucks though. The grocery section is rather small with no produce. So don't plan on coming here for groceries. This target overall leaves so much to be desired. read more

The store is always clean and bright. Most employees are nice and helpful, though some cashiers (even early in the day when they should still be "fresh") could use a lesson in smiling and making the customer feel welcome. The Target in Jacksonville is probably one of the worst I've ever shopped in. It has gone completely downhill since it opened. I was there yesterday, 20 people at 2 registers, 1 customer using coupons and the cashier just let her walk away for something. Finally some guy says "Can't you cancel her order and check out some of us? Or call the manager to get more registers open or SOMETHING?" They did, but when someone from the customer service desk came and said something to the other cashier, she spoke so softly no one could understand. The lady with the guy who spoke up let us know what the customer service person had said "Send them to me" Yeah, if there is no way to avoid going there (meaning I can't find that item ANYWHERE else and I either NEED it or REALLY need it) then I'll go back. I actually prefer Walmart, but since I live in Richlands, and rarely come this way, Target is closer. I don't like this Target. There is rarely more than 1 or 2 registers open, and they move slow. Beyond Targets control, but I seem to ALWAYS get stuck behind some young mom and her 3 or 4 small children who may have the ability to walk but lack the motivation, and Mom, who may have the ability to move those children lacks the motivation to move them. It doesn't seem to matter the aisle, this happens to me nearly every visit at Target. WTH. They seem to be out of everything always. Or, if and when I find an employee they simply tell me, what I'm looking for was a seasonal item. I think that is a rehearsed answer. I swear I could be looking for sunblock in the middle of summer and I'd get that response. My stars are for the junior girls clothing department, because there is an employee there with some fashion education who has been helpful to me when I've shopped for my teenage daughter. The small dollar + area up front is actually organized, and the return process is very painless and simple. Plus, I happened in and out of the Walmart up the street, and I'd rather deal with Target because that location down there scared the crap outta me. read more

True, its your standard target but I was crazy enough to be here during Black Friday and I don't think I will do it again. We finished shopping in 30 minutes and then had to wait close to 2 hours to check out. The lines were ridiculously long and zig zagged through dang near every aisle in the store. People were trying to shop and maneuver against people waiting on line. It was unreal we didn't have that experience in Walmart and there were much more people in Walmart. read more

This is your typical Target, so there isn't too much to say about it. One big downside to this particular store is that, according to one of the employees, it is one of the smallest Targets in the country. Walk around for a bit and you'll believe it. The selection is very, very small, especially for clothing. But that's to be expected for the area, really. A big upside, however, is that they're pretty good with customer service. The cashiers seem to be mainly friendly and personable. And unlike Walmart, if long lines form, the people working always stop what they're doing and open more registers, so generally you don't have to wait too long to check out. It's a decent Target. Would be nice if it was bigger, though. read more

This Target in town, dont be deceived by it just because it's Target. I've been to better Targets in across the country but this one in Jacksonville is not the best. Staffs are dismissive, not friendly and plain unhelpful. Thier staffs thinks they are better but not really, they need to remind their employees that customers are still right regardless of the circumstances. This is specifically for their drive up service. This is now the fifth time in the last 8 months I've been using this service at this location where I've been told everything in my order is in the bags and I'm good to go. I sign off and pay them for everything then get home and find out one or more of my items are not there. This time today is the most items that have not been in the bags, NINE items I've paid for that are not in my bags because they pile them so high into two bags to make it look like everything appears to be in there. Don't even get me started on how long it took them to come out in the first place. I talked to Jamie on the phone and she said one of my bags was left behind and I could come and pick it up whenever I can, the problem is I can't do it until later today and I have to lug my kids again to go to that part of town. Get it all in there the first time so guests don't have to go back and get their items they paid for twice in one day. She told me they would bring them out to me once I called them, we shall see. I shouldn't have to do their job and go through every single bag thoroughly, it should all be there and they should pay attention. One time is an honest mistake FIVE times is clearly a flaw in your system and employees. The whole reason people use these pick up services is to make their lives a little bit easier. ***EDIT*** I went in to get my bag they forgot to give me. There were STILL missing items. One of which I didn't figure out until I got home AGAIN because I was so distracted with the other two items the gentleman that brought the bag out to me was trying to figure out what they looked like. I called the store and talked to DJ and he told me I could come in whenever for the third time because he saw it in the guest services area plain as day as soon as I told him what it was. This is not a difficult job I've worked at Target in the past and it is NOT a hard job what so ever. No wonder every time I've ever called this store they say they are hiring. read more
