I love Target and this Target is conveniently located to my apartment. I feel like this Target has a lot of room for improvements though. I feel like there is a lot of disorganization when it comes to the clothing departments and there aren't very many employees on staff to help you. Not to mention they have the NASTIEST BATHROOMS. It's about the equivalent of going to the bathroom at a gas station. The floors are semi-wet from lord knows what. The soap is never stocked and there is toilet paper everywhere. Looks nice, but the customer service in the mobile department needs to balance the needs of all their customers. Have been waiting for over 30 minutes while the representative helps an elderly couple with their new phone. I understand wanting to go the extra mile, but setting up new email accounts and tech supporting the phone while others wait (while great for the one being helped) has felt like I was kicked to the side. Ashley asked how's my brother (he was at the Exceptional Foundation in the afternoon). Liana waved hello too. Gary helped with a question about bandaids. Also, Steve was there and he asked how my brother and I were doing too. Then Liz saw us standing in line and told us where we could get, and Liz answered a question about bananas, and the time before, Steve helped us with bananas. Also, we saw Castiel and he said to tell my brother Tim hello, and Castiel helped with a question about Circle. Lisa Watson said hello and she was so very nice as always. And Nashawn said hello too. Preston helped us at the service desk too, and Jerrell was there, so nice. Eric waved hello and asked how we were. Kassandra said hello too and she is always so nice too. She also said to come back soon. Justin helped with a question I had about large manilla envelopes. I recommend the Homewood Target to everyone we know because of the terrific employees, the cleanliness, product selection, and the prices. David said hello too, and Rina asked how we are doing too. Worst target ever. The college kids are SUPER RUDE. You could have 100 bags and a baby on your hip and they will just walk right in front of you. The shelves are never stocked with what I need (size 5 babyganics or honest diapers) they are always out. Always. I am just going to start going to buy buy baby and buying diapers. read more

It's a pretty neat and unique setup, but at the end of the day it's just another Target. However, it does feel a little more cramped since the ceilings are lower because it's elevated with a parking lot underneath. The traffic wasn't too bad. It opened March 6, 2013. They have a Pizza Hut Express and a Starbucks inside. read more

This target is bigger than the one in trussivlle very clean and good customer service and the workers their are very helpful. The men's department is much better here because its bigger and more of a selection to choose from they also have a Starbucks by the food court as well. I have to give a shout-out to Les and his staff for the wonderful customer service I received at this target, not to mention, one of the biggest Targets I've been in. I was in need for dress shoes since I forgot mine during my travels. After looking at there selection I decided too compare prices with a DSW right next door. On my way out I was greeted by Les and I asked if they offered a military discount, which they don't, but Les said he could work with me. DSW was closed (unfortunately for them) so I returned to target to make my purchase. I am so thankful for the offer Les made and the huge discount. I can't guarantee I'd be back in this area but there quality of service guaranteed I'd shop at Target world wide. Mahalo Les and associates. read more

This Target reminds me of a location in the Chicago area with the escalators and such. It's quite impressive and the covered parking is nice. However, that's about the only thing positive I can say about it. Target in general is beginning to disappoint me as many of their locations seem to be "downsizing" the grocery section. There's less of a selection and variety of items. Target used to be my go-to for groceries, but not so much anymore. This particular location seems to have a stocking issue. Many shelves are empty and though the website says they have something in stock, they don't. I realize that the site isn't exactly real-time, but it should be more reliable than that. If you want to see a "different" Target, go for a visit, but don't expect to find much. As another reviewer mentioned, you would have better luck at the Hoover West location. Really sad because I had high hopes for this one. read more

This is a nice get everything you need target. The store is clean and well organised. It has everything you need from clothes to electronics to groceries. The only issue with the store is there doesn't seem to be enough staff, tend not to be able to find someone quickly to help if needed and sometimes the lines at the register get pretty backed up. read more

Great location for a shopping experience. Parking is readily available and there's a Starbucks on the second floor. The variety of merchandise is limited and and the layout of the store is confusing. I'm glad they finally brought one of the uniquely designed targets to Alabama. I first saw this design over in Midtown Atlanta, GA! Very unique concept. Great location for grabbing your groceries & walking down the strip to shop or dine. Perfectly located from Samford university & the awesome Jemison Park trail. Only think that sucks about Target is the lack of fresh meat selections! Severely lacking in that department but all is good! read more

This Target is not really worth visiting thanks to the poor customer service and bad employees. The people who work here apparently must hate their jobs because when you walk in they look at you like they would rather die than help you with anything. I'll give them a star, (because I have to, and) based solely on the fact that they do recycling and normally Targets are good and have decent inventory. However, the recycling center here usually just looks like a trash dump and is extremely hard to get to. The electric carts are always dead and the employees would rather cut their arms off than plug them in. Disabled and elderly people, if you depend on these electric carts to do your shopping you'll be very disappointed here. The problems at this Target have to do mostly with the people who work here and their bad attitudes. It's worth the extra driving to shop elsewhere. read more

This location is really cool with its escalator and all that. They always have a great selection in clearance and for the most part are well stocked and clean. My problem with this store is twofold: 1. They never have enough registers open. 2. It's not a Super Target so they're grocery options are limited. Although my second complaint can't be helped, they really could have more lanes open from time to time. I try to use the self-checkout but it's often down or just as busy as the regular registers. read more

One of the nicest Target store I've ever been into. I realize it's new, but Target has a tendency to provide a quality superstore experience, so I have confidence that my experience here will be close to the same each time. It was staffed really well and all of the employees were ready and wiling to help you find the item/department you were looking for. That's something that I look for when I go to a new store. The lines weren't too long - another sign of good staffing. For years I've gone back and forth on if I should open a REDcard account, and I was so impressed by this store (plus it's really close to where I live so I feel like I will be a frequent shopper) I finally took the plunge and opened a REDcard Debit account. I love target and I think I've just been spoiled with my old target back home in California but this target is not up to my standards. The clothes are never organized, you are constantly running over clothes on accident. The staff is mixed, some nice and some have major attitude. I'm always scared to ask something or go through check out, that's why I try and do self checkout. That's never a good sign read more

I'm beyond shocked... Target is a great store as long as you don't go to this particular location. As the store was preparing to close, my mom and I were grabbing our last two items and were about to make our way to the register with a cart holding several hundred dollars worth of items, when we were approached by a team member named Coen, who very rudely and aggressively told us that "the store was about to close, so [we needed] to go ahead and get our stuff and get out." I wish i was paraphrasing...but this is a direct quote that was overheard by another customer as well. When we were shocked and told Coen how rude he was, he walked off, arrogantly informing us that he was just doing his job. I've never had a Walmart employee speak this way to me, so the shock i had experiencing this at Target of all places was enormous. After getting a manager's attention, Coen was called back over to us, where he failed miserably at defending himself and., to add insult to injury, stood there rolling his eyes throughout the conversation. We left target without purchasing anything, and this will definitely be our last time at this location. If you ever think about doing your target shopping at this store, think again and then go to the one in Hoover instead. read more

Employees are rude and lazy. I waited in line in the electronics section after being told by two other employees who I saw playing on their phones by their computers that they couldn't help me. All I wanted was to make my purchase. After the customers in front of me finished, the guy at the register turned around and walked off and started to work on inventory. I was standing right there the whole time!! Another customer walked up and tried to help with a question from one of the other guys and he just looked at me and walked off. WTH? I wasn't the least bit rude, when you told me to wait in line....what is y'alls problem?? I just left my merchandise on the counter and left. That was ridiculous. read more

I will only go to this Target on rainy days. The check out staff continue to forget to give me all my groceries. I get all the way home a realize there is a bag missing. This has happened about Four times now. Today I was shorted around $20 worth of items. In the past when I called to see if they had them I would get told no. I give up on this store. read more

I love Target and I really want to love this location. I was excited for it to open, but unfortunately I have been repeatedly disappointed by this store over the last couple years. It is the most poorly stocked Target I have ever been in. There are empty shelves all over the store, and sometimes the same shelves will stay empty for weeks, even though the Target app frequently shows the items as being in stock at this location. I've been told by an employee at a different Target that this usually means the item is available in the back and just hasn't been restocked on the shelves. If that's the case, this location needs more employees or new management, because the number of empty shelves at this location is unacceptable. read more

Please get a Photo Kiosk that actually works. Probably been to this location 4 times over the past couple years when the Kiosk was OUT OF ORDER. A couple other times it worked, but wouldn't read Jump Drives. Either completely get rid of it or get a new one. It's usually a wasted a trip. Otherwise the store is fine. Extremely poor customer service n inconsistent in business practices. Asked to purchase a grill that was assembled n on sale n to pick it up the next day when I could have a friend with a truck. I was told no because of "liabilities" n she listed several silly reasons. "What if someone came in pretending to be you"... Ever checked and ID n the receipt? Just irritating because I have seen things with hold tags in that store n a friend had a grill held at another target. Inconsistency in policies across a national chain is frustrating. I left my cart with items I was buying at the service desk and will find other places to shop. read more
