I typically only visit this Kohl's for access to the Amazon return drop. The drop is located in the back left corner of the store & wait times are typically very, very minimal in comparison to other drop off locations. The employees here are always very friendly! I appreciate the convenience of this location as it is near to my home, however, I experienced issues with Amazon since starting to use the drop-off service at this location. On two different occasions, I have received emails from Amazon (weeks after returning an item) that Amazon either did not receive my return or received a different item than was expected & would be charging my card if did not return the item by a given date. I have always returned the right items & consequently have had to dispute the issue with Amazon Customer Service. Both times my disputes were successful for refunds but it is still unclear to me if the processing errors were because of Kohl's procedures or Amazon's, so just FYI -- returner beware. Pro tip -- keep your return receipt! There's a 20% off coupon on each one. And sometimes this drop offers an additional coupon for 10-20% Sephora at Kohl's purchases. read more

I like Kohl's it's like a cleaner TJ Maxx and better than Ross in terms of not being picked through. I asked an employee if they had a product in stock that I saw online and she seemed to be so annoyed that I didn't say Hi how are you first. She ignored my question and took a step back and said Hi How are you? While giving me a look of annoyance. I understand I should have made small talk first. It's the south but I guess I just needed to get going. I felt embarrassed. I smiled and said good how are you and then repeated my question. She said no. And went back to work. I turned around and the item she said they didn't have had a stack right there lol. I got what I needed but wish I wasn't scolded for not being more friendly. I really do respect everyone. I grew up working in fast food, retail and childcare. Oh well the lady who checked me out was beyond friendly and helpful as I had 3 separate purchases. I personally think that Kohl's is overpriced. They do carry name brands like Nike , Under Armor and Adidas. I was able to find 3 gifts I needed to get. The associate who assisted with my purchase was friendly. I don't frequent this store often as I forget about it. Overall, I was pleased with this visit but nothing overly special. read more

Normally, the only time I'm in Kohl's is to pick up items I have bought from using Kohl's "buy online, pick up in store feature". This is absolutely my favorite way to shop because I can shop for hours from the comfort of my home and get my items same day or the next day in most cases. Anyhow, I was in Kohl's yesterday looking for 5 inch heels, which aren't as popular as I thought. When I went into the store, I was immediately greeted by the employee that was working up front. This goes a long way with me. Call me old fashioned, but I want to be acknowledged when I enter a store if an employee is in my vicinity. The selection of shoes were okay if I was looking for everyday shoes, but I was looking for glamorous 5 inch heels and they only had one pair that weren't the right size. Despite that, I will continue to shop at Kohl's because they are great for things I would want on a daily basis. read more

Ordered online and opted for pick-up in store because they offered Kohl's cash for this option. The Kohl's cash was readily available via email as soon as I picked up my order. I was able to make an in store purchase on items that were already on sale plus a percentage off and my Kohl's cash, I walked away with two items for the price of one. The pick-up line was fairly short but the wait was somewhat lengthy due to the representatives having to perform the transactions and retrieve the items. It may be a good idea to have a runner. The store seem very organized and my preferred location. read more

I kind of forget these guys are at the Grove because they are located at the far end of the strip mall. Typically pleasantly surprised when I go in. Parking Lot: You will never* have an issue with parking here (* never does not include Black Friday or the time period between Thanksgiving and Christmas). Large parking lot with plenty of spaces for normal shopping days. Store: About the same size and layout of other Kohls I have been inside. As you walk into the store they have they check out registers and customer service. Men's clothing (left) and Women's clothing (Middle to right) are the first areas. Household including bedroom and bathroom are across the back of the store and kids is to the far right. Just like all of the other major department stores you need to shop the sales. Regular prices can be pretty high, but sale prices can be exceptionally good. Also, they have clearance items that can be next to nothing from a cost perspective. Staff is very friendly and helpful. As I checked out she asked if I had a Kohl's card and explained the benefits of getting one including all of the perks. I didn't bite, however she was very friendly and NOT pushy which is hard to do when trying to get somebody to apply for your in house credit. They have a rewards program, which she did talk me into. Totally free and all the money you spend adds up towards future purchase benefits. If you do have a Kohl's card you can link the two and get additional benefits. Overall a good store, just need to try to remember to frequent it a little more often. read more

You really can't say too many bad things about Kohls. Prices are great and if you have a coupon you can get even better pricing. It is pretty easy to get a thirty percent off coupon IF you have a credit card. You can only use the coupon in conjunction with the card. If you aren't sure if it's on sale it not, it probably is. Pretty much everything at Kohls is always on sale. If you pay full price, you're an idiot. If it's not on sale, wait till tomorrow. Kohls has a very generous return policy. They will pretty much take anything back. If you don't have a receipt expect to get back the lowest sale price. If you paid with your credit card, you can always get back what you paid. Another good reason too have the card. Just make sure you pay it off as soon as you get the bill because the interest rate is close to an outrageous 30 percent! As for this particular store, it's not the best Kohls but it's not the worst either. The thing about Kohls is the more a store sells, the better products they get so stores with lower sales don't have as much good stuff. Dressing rooms could use a cleaning. Not my normal Kohl's, but if I'm in the area, I'll stop by and see what they have on sale that other Kohl's may be out of. Large parking lot AND it's at the end of the shopping strip, so finding a parking spot is never an issue. One thing that I do like about this store vs others in the Birmingham area, is that customer service is right up front and not in the back. Makes returns or paying bills easy! And I don't feel weird walking all the way to the back of the store to make returns. read more

I went in on a Saturday during a football game and it was packed, but the lines moved quickly. The employees that I came in contact with were nice. They were stocked with great items and I left happy. The prices are decent. I will return, but only for exactly what I am looking for. read more

New to the area... this was my second time at this Kohl's and I just have to say there was a woman named Mrs. Diane who just had the best personality and warmest kindest soul. My official 2nd time in a Kohl's ever was Black Friday this year. My misunderstanding is that this place was similar to a Goody's and so I dismissed it. My wife dropped me at Target where I was charged with running through the store in search of a must have item, while she strolled through Kohl's to see what all the fuss is about. I didn't find my item and walked over defeated. Kohl's is more like a Dept Store. They don't carry some of the higher end brands you'd see at Belk or Macy's. It's like a nicer JC Penny. I found a pair of IZod shorts like a pair I own and really like for $10.00. We didn't have a ton of time to browse nor am I a fan of shopping for no specific purpose so we didn't see all they had to offer. Next time I am in the market for something to be acquired from a Dept store I will add this place to the list of viable options. This particular shopping center is preferable to Inverness or Alabaster as it has fewer stores and less traffic. I also prefer not going to the mall so I'm happy to have discovered what all the fuss is about at Kohl's. read more
