This place is amazing ! I spend hours there every time and leave with at least 20 new things!!!

I've heard of the Brass Bear when I've been to a few estate sales. So when I looked over while driving by and saw it, I figured I'd check it out. Kind of a mistake. It's a pretty big store, and there is a lot to see. I'm sure there are many fabulous items, but it's not really a place to "stop in and check it out." I think you have to both be in the mood/frame-of-mind to really look at everything and have the time to do it. You could very easily spend all day there. "Just browsing" isn't going to cut it. That said, I had neither the time nor the inclination to spend the time to really give it a good shopping. Instead I found it overwhelming, so I just politely walked most of the aisles only looking at the things that really jumped out at me. Because it was a Saturday, there seemed to be a number of vendors there, so I'm sure there are some interesting stories to be told, and they could surely help if you're searching from something specific. read more

The Brass Bear has been around for a while and it's still one of the best antique malls regarding service and helpfulness to customers. I asked one gentleman at the cashier's desk if he thought a Vendor would be willing to negotiate over price of a specific piece of furniture and he quickly responded, 'Let's give him a call right now.' And sure enough, the Vendor did in fact work with me on the price and I went home with a chair I really wanted. Actually, there is a little bit of everything that collectors hope to see at the Brass Bear at reasonable prices. In addition, parking is free and convenient at the front of the store. While there was a huge selection of things to buy, and the place is HUGE! I would say it's a little overpriced in some booths, but hey, that does happen. However... the old, balding, fat man behind the counter is a HUGE JERK! This dude stared me DOWN while he was wrapping up the person in front of me's items. I asked him if a booth owner would go down on a price. He said "that's their best price". I said "well could you call them anyways". Never leaving eye contact with me... he goes "that's their best price" I said "oh in your booth or something?(with a smile on my Face) and AGAIN he says "that's their best price." I said "I jsut don't understand why you won't even call them? Like you won't even try?" He said "it's our policy that when someone marks something down then it's their best price" I thought to myself "ok jerk! Why didn't you lead with that? This man needs some coaching in customer service. What an effin a-hole!! read more

Large antique mall with lots of decent booths. Definitely worth a stroll through! Lots of booths with close-out deals and sales.

Very kind service and lots of curated spaces to look at items that were in good condition. They were having a sale so it was even more valuable for the items I purchased. read more

Cool little antique store. Vendors keep tidy and fresh. It's a good mix of items. The ladies up front are friendly and helpful.

The Brass Bear has a nice selection of antiques and unique finds, as well as some really good bargains. Whether you are looking for depression glass, old and refurbished furniture, baseball cards, records, etc...they have it all. The prices in most of the booths are reasonable. Most of the booths are accessible, only a handful were so chock full of stuff that you couldn't get in them. The only downside is that it can get kinda tight up in there because there is only so much space between the booths to walk through. The store is big enough to spread out some. read more

Can I give negative stars?? What an absolute junk store and a waste of time. Horrible disrespectful staff, and yes, they do offer snacks while you shop, but after seeing this filthy store and staff, the last thing you'll want to do is eat. I LOVE this antique store! I happened upon it when I was getting my oil changed and finally got the chance to stop in a few weeks ago during my lunch break. After thirty minutes of walking around, I realized that I hadn't even scratched the surface of this place. Bound and determined to come back again, I finally found the time one Saturday morning. This place is HUGE! It took us nearly three hours to walk the entire thing and see what we could see. Everything here is so well priced! So much in fact that I actually purchased a vanity, necklace and a few other trinkets. I love that everything is so tidy and that the employees really take care of you and the facilities. Love to spend time browsing this antique mall. They have a great selection and seem to be a little more discerning on the vendors they accept. Sometimes you'll run across a booth that isn't well maintained, however that is the exception, not the rule. This is my go to location when I'm looking for unique lamps, decorator pieces, or vintage kitchen items, glassware/dinnerware. One vendor has some of the coolest vintage clocks I've ever seen. I drop buy every few weeks to see what's new. Every visit is like a treasure hunt and if I have time, I make the circuit twice in case I missed something. read more

Really eclectic boutique(s) that offer a variety of antique and new items. Several different vendors and always a couple great finds! I happen to love the Bamboo Sheet sets and pillows that they offer. They are high quality and affordable! They also have several cute home and garden items. Walking through is always an adventure! I found multiple pieces that I haven't seen in other shops around town, and found that the merchandise was in really good condition, marked accordingly for prices, and very friendly and helpful staff. Really nice antique mall. Lots of vendors, some items we have never seen before. Clean, air conditioned, smells good, clean bathroom, and friendly staff. Overall a pleasant time and we found a couple of things to purchase at a good price. Some of the vendors were overpriced, but others seemed reasonable. The Brass Bear is a "nice" shop for not only antique/eclectic/krafty items, but the Sellers there also have many "manly" items!!! There is a TV/ sitting area up front, but you won't find many old guys sitting there waiting on their wives to shop, because there is neat stuff for old guys too!! Free refreshments on the weekends and the Staff are AAAA++++.......ask them about a particular item, and most can show you examples of that item for sale in different booths......they actually know their way around the store, not just check-out clerks. I buy items there to "flip" on Ebay and it has worked out very well for me. read more

After taking my son to the rheumatologist today because he has problems with his legs and have had them all his life. We went to this store, we were enjoying ourselves but I had to go to the rest room and I told him to stay in a corner booth out of the walkway by the restroom. He was resting over the shopping cart back (because his legs hurt) looking at an item he was going to buy (not paying attention ) when a man walk up to him and scared him by talking loud enough I could hear his voice in the restroom but couldn't understand him. When I came out my son was confused and upset because nobody had ever done that before to him. I asked him what happened and he said some man came up to me telling me if your going to do that then get out of the store. I asked him what did I do and the man said you know what you did. He again said to get out of the store. I had passed the man when I came out and he didn't say a word to me. I mean my son just turned 14 so he should've known I was with him and my son had my purse with him in the buggy. He was maybe 10-15 feet away from where I was, waiting on me. I went up front thinking that it was just some person in the store that might have had personal issues or something. My son was shaken up and wanted to know what was going on and so did I. I asked the lady behind the desk and she said she didn't know it turned out to be the owner of the business. He said that my son was trying to stick an item (a replica of an old gun) we had put in the buggy, on the other side of the store, in his pants to steal it. My son wears a belt everyday and he is not skinny either so this would be a hard thing to do to start with. I told him no he wasn't because if that were true he wouldn't have told me about you yelling at him and it was in the buggy before I went to the restroom, I knew it was there and he has his own money to buy it. He said he wasn't going to call the cops and I said I wish you would. I asked if he had cameras because I knew my child wasn't doing anything and I wanted to see it for myself if he was so sure to talk to my child like that. He said a lot more and none of it was nice, then walked off saying I know what I saw. This was no way to handle a child or a customer. On our way home my son asked if that is how all people in a big city act because if it was he was always going to live in a small town. I wished my husband was still alive to handle this problem because I know he would have been better at it than I was. read more
