I am writing this review regarding an extremely unprofessional and disrespectful experience at the Target store in Gardena, California, on July 14 at approximately 10:00 p.m. As customers were finishing their shopping at closing time, the manager made an announcement over the store intercom that was both rude and inappropriate. He stated : "Target is now closed, so bring your A**es to the registers before we close them." I was shocked to hear a manager speak to customers in such a disrespectful and vulgar manner. There is no reason for a member of management to address customers using offensive language. While I understand that the store was closing and employees needed customers to proceed to checkout, that message could have been delivered in a respectful and professional way. After hearing the announcement, I approached another employee to make sure I had heard it correctly and asked who had made the announcement. The employee casually responded, "Yeah, that was the manager." The employee's matter-of-fact response gave me the impression that this type of behavior may not have been viewed as unusual. While I cannot speak to whether this is actually the case, it added to my concern about the professionalism displayed. The announcement made my family and me feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. It reflected very poorly on Target's commitment to providing a positive shopping experience. As a loyal customer, I expect to be treated with courtesy and respect when visiting your stores. read more

Worst dressing room experience ever! I needed to try on about 10 outfits and choose the one I like best for an upcoming graduation. First I was told 4 item limit and I must leave my cart outside. The cart I understand but the 4 item limit was such an inconvenience. I asked why even though I knew the real reason was loss prevention and the girl tells me because then too many items get left in the dressing room. So I'm like ok well a few of my items are sets then she goes each set is 2 items not 1. So I bring 2 sets in, try them on, get back dressed then told to put unwanted items on a rack on the opposite side of my dressing room then walk back to my cart to get the next 4 items. Come on Target at least 6 items. I had to keep repeating this process. Also clean the restroom and parking lot more often. Maybe use resources there instead of monitoring the 4 item policy so hard. read more

The Target is convenient with a large parking lot. However, it's ridiculous that the they sell food expired long time ago. I should have checked the best by date before making the purchase, but still it's shockingly surprising to find out the food bought in September 2025 had already expired in September 2024. Their inventory system and food safety management is no doubt very poor at this Target. read more

Had a cart full of stuff and my daughter wanted a 40 in tv. I was in my cart with all my other items and the girl passed by from target employee Rosalee bring it over and I'll bring it up for you and I got mine with my items and she tells me oh I can only ring up the TV. Otherwise if you gotta take up to the front, I asked her then that's OK I'll go ring up everything at the front if you can't leave the Dept with the TV it has to be paid for back here so I asked her what do you think I'm going to do still a 40 inch TV and walk out with it? she didn't answer me so I went and bought the TV there went up to the front paid for the rest items I had went to the front desk and back for Manager and Maria was there said she was a store manager I told her what happened to you. They think I was going to steal the TV or what? Her answers me was that's the way things are so I just told her I'm gonna give her a shitty review on Yelp but then again that's all Target deserves shitty reviews for shitty people employees too. read more

I do a lot of drive up orders with this Target but I think I'm about to stop this. They do not care about your stuff. There were two young ladies doing the drive up orders this evening. I greeted them showed my phone with the code and they preceded to place my belongings in the backseat. I get home and grab the items out of my car and start feeling dripping down my leg I'm like what is that? I open the bag all of my blueberries all flipped over open smashed inside the bag. Now who put this bag together. It's blueberries, yogurt, and a gallon of Lemonade. Like really? Then I went back over my order and realized I did not receive my rubbing alcohol. Not the cleanest but there are worse Targets I've been to... customer service is okay. The only good customer service I've gotten from here would be whenever I'm in the electronic section, they are attentive and do ask if you need anything, looking for anything specific. They could be consistent about the price matching though. I asked to price match an album in the electronic section, they told me to go to the front to ask.. where all the registers were; and there was a rude blonde old lady who said that they could not price match. She had attitude, like jeez. I would've been fine without the price match but with her attitude, I didn't end up purchasing it. read more

Poor customer experience! Cashier didn't even greet me or acknowledge me. Didn't even want to bag my groceries until I asked... Um, Sir, this is your job Would have gone to self checkout, but they had that closed. Only two registers open for the whole store. They also had the disinfecting wipes dispenser empty. Picking up anything from this store is a gamble. You would think after the first few issues I'd stop going but I think after my most recent experience I may have to avoid this target all together. I have done mostly curb side pick up's and I get half bottles of hair product, used makeup, used superglue, broken storage bins, or missing items all together. Went in to quickly grab a drink and snack and use the restroom however there were NO toilet paper in many of the stalls in the women's restroom midday about 3pm, one toilet in particular stopped up and gross. If it wasn't for a kind customer who took the liberty of opening her own toilet paper she purchased and giving out a few rolls, most of us would have been up Schitt's Creek. On the bright side, I like the quick self service station next to Starbucks w the hot foods and drinks. Bit of a burn hazard though for the hot aluminum shelf when grabbing food. I'm only here for the drive up pick up. I have been inside this Target numerous times and I definitely prefer it to the one in Hawthorne on 120th and Crenshaw. This location is always much more stocked and has a nicer collection of clothes and home foods read more

There is a lot that needs to improve. The first thing is the cleanliness of the bathrooms. I have yet to find the woman's bathroom clean. Even when you get there in the morning it's filthy and half the stalls are non functional. This store is very poorly stocked on staple items people need on a daily basis. They can't claim it's a supply chain issue because if you go a few miles down the street to Torrance they have it all in stock. These are my main issues. This Target is big, and we'll stocked,but they have the worst customer service. Please do not order something for pick in store, or drive in. You will be waiting in line standing without being acknowledged. If you need to return something, expect to wait while one cashier "fixes" an unfinished order. They talk more than what they actually do. Usually one employee in customer service, or no employee helping. You will have to request someone to help you. Do not, I repeat do not go to this target to pickup a drive up order if your in a hurry. Insanely slow service even when your the only there picking stuff up. I'm also not a big fan of why they let employees park in there drive up spots all day long? These same two ugly cars are parked in the drive up spots ever time in come here? I thought this was a decent target. It's in a bit of a sketchy area it seems, but the store was clean and the employees were friendly. They have electrify America charging stations outside and they were actually working. There did not seem to be any vagrants living outside and I didn't catch anyone shoplifting. Selection seemed decent and value, prices are always the same at Target. read more

As has been mentioned in several other recent reviews, this is the worst Target in the South Bay area (the one by the Galleria is a close second). Customer service is non existent, the shelves are poorly stocked, and the front check out area is an absolute mess. Recently stopped in here to get some storage bins. Of course there were no lids. Shelf literally says to ask for an associate. No one in the general area (of course) so I walked down to the electronics area where 4 associates were chatting. Asked if someone could check in the back and go hit with shoulder shrugs and the "if it's not on the shelf, then we're out of stock," line. No one bothered to go to the back to actually check or look up to see if a nearby store had them in stock. Then there's the parking lot. An absolute obstacle course with dips and speed bumps and three way stop signs. Nearly half of the front parking area is dedicated to Drive Up pickup and the Raising Canes built in the middle of the lot further adds to the congestion. If you're in the area and need to go to a Target, drive up Van Ness to 120th and go to the Target there. Ample parking, slightly better stocked shelves, and, well, the front end is still a mess. read more

Came here while I was waiting for a table at Lomeli's nearby. Parking was easy to find and there was a champurrado and elote guy in the lot so I knew this Target was going to be good and it was! They had a Starbucks inside so I got an iced coffee then I saw they had an Ulta and was on cloud nine. 3 stars because everyone loves the variety of items they have at Target. Hence the "Target effect" where you always end up buying more things than you need. This store has a lot of space for parking, the lot is very long but recently it looks like they started construction to add another store at the east side of the lot. There are occasionally a few homeless or Big rig trucks that park deep in the lot because it's so spacious. Bordering Gardena and Torrance this place can feel a little ghetto at times, but it gets the job done. Staff isn't super friendly just get your stuff and pray the line isn't too long. Recently did pick up which worked well! Except the dude dropped my bag as he was walking out--be careful if you order glass items. Other than that the pick up was swift and convenient. read more

I shop at this Target pretty often and this was the first time I used a basket this dirty. I held back on buying groceries because I didn't want my groceries touching the filth. I asked the cashier how often do the baskets get cleaned and she said never. It's the customer's responsibility to wipe down the carts with the provided wipes at the door. I had no idea. Parking lot is the worst thing about this place! Half of it is dedicated to Curbside Pickup, but every time I come here, there's less than 5 cars doing curbside. So inefficient! Sometimes you have to park way across the street at the Raising Canes, which gets congested on weekends. This store is also not well stocked. I was so impressed when I walked into this Target. It's open, clean, organized, stocked up. I happened to be in the area for a doctor's appt and stopped in, and now I'll go the extra distance just to go to this Target. I normally go to Manhattan or Redondo, which are nice but not as well organized and stocked as Gardena. The staff is friendly too. read more

They really have stepped up the service at the drive-up here! Kudos to management who created a whole row of drive-up spots directly in front of the drive-up delivery area. Right now they are tearing up this parking lot, not sure why, assuming they are making either more drive-up or doing something about the drainage problem that occurs whenever it rains. This is the Target closest to my home, so it's convenient when I need to buy things. They are organized, clean, and the staff is friendly and efficient in getting customers checked out. I will say, they do take a little longer than other stores to restock items. I wish they would fix that. The parking lot is always busy, but it doesn't correlate to the amount of people in the store, so I always found that strange. Regardless, I've been coming to this Target for 2 years now and I have very little to complain about. I'm in and out as fast as I need to be. read more
