I was only in town for a day but found myself in desperate need of a different pair of shoes. The ones I had brought were just not doing the trick. Thankfully, this target was only about a mile away from where I was so I was able to make a quick trip. I got there around 4pm on a Wednesday and there was plenty of parking. It wasn't too busy and for the most part things were organized and in the right place. I found the shoe section in a jiffy and lo and behold they had a pair of flats that happened to be the same exact color of the shirt I was wearing... and they were on sale for $6. You know, sometimes the stars truly do align, haha. The self check out line wasn't crazy and I was back on the road in no time. I'll end by saying that one of their employees in the show section was the absolute sweetest. And the shoes worked out great. read more

Nice location . Very close to other shops and restaurants around . Target is good to shop. They have a very good legacy and people who have shopped here , will not go to Walmart or other stores :). Some products are expensive but again , lots of varieties and good quality products around . Service can surely be better . Not many people around to help. Billing can be faster in peak times. I saw a video recently of a mom sharing that you can bring your gifted diapers from your baby shower, etc. to Target (even if they weren't purchased there), and exchange them for a different brand or size. It seems too good to be true - but it's real! New (busy) mom, and realized we were super low on diapers and then I remembered this video I saw and I had to give it a try for myself. I brought two unopened boxes of Huggies diapers to customer service and told the cashier that I wanted to exchange them for a different size. She said not a problem, and within 2 minutes we were on our way with a $45 credit back to Target which we turned around and used on 2 new boxes of diapers in the size and brand we wanted! So simple but what a life saver! These babies grow so fast and this really saves you from wasting a single diaper. They aren't cheap! Such a great experience and will definitely be doing this again in the future. Target is dangerous territory for me so I try not to go inside too often, but I could go on and on about how much I love to shop here and spend entirely way too much money. I've also recently been using their drive-up pick-up option through the app and it's been such a lifesaver too when I'm in a hurry, the baby's fussy, and I don't have the time or energy to go shopping in the store. read more

Just went and got a few items , the self checkout was closed so I had to wait in a long line with people with Many items. I asked an employee why is the self checkout closed. She said it's not open all day, that didn't really answer my question! If they aren't going to be open all day and only just at random times they might as well take them out! That's so Stupid ! I noticed about maybe less than a month ago I went in the evening maybe a hour and a half before they closed the self checkout was also not open. read more

The store is clean, well stocked and the staff is polite and professional. The only fault is either team members are too limited in what they can do. On my last visit it took over 20 minutes to find someone who had a key to get a game from electronics. Today I used order ahead and it was super convenient. had my new AARP recommended Consumer Cellular phone service today at this Cumming Ga Target. This is one of two Targets that have Certified CC techs. So we we nearing mid 70's and totally not tech oriented. I was helped by Andrew. This employee deserves a bonus and increase in pay. He totally understood I had no clue how to set the service up. Answered all my questions and never made me feel like I was inept (which technically i am). Such a joy to work with an employee that really goes over and above. I like going to target and especially searching for their yellow tag clearance. Its always a pleasure to shop here since its peaceful and not utterly crowded. You get everything if you visit the super center but the regular Target does not have a huge fresh produce section which is alright sonce you still do get the basics. They bave a great collection of toys section amd always something on clearance too. The bakery has yummy cakes and I like it more then many of the bakeries around. Again the bakery is only available at the super target and not regular target . Over all i prefer coming here since my kids are smalland easier to browse here. And their carts are also pretty smooth to maneuver. read more

Very rude staff, no customer service skills and there's no open lanes in the store and everybody has to rush to do self checkout even with a full cart. It's a big store with people checking every corner if somebody is stealing when they should hire people for the register as well. I haven't ever been to a target that's like that. Why even bother reviewing Target? No matter the location, people everywhere end up leaving with more than they intended to buy...stop in for no reason only to walk out with a cart full of stuff. I am not incredibly picky when it comes to Target stores. With a WalMart across the street, it isn't difficult for this location to look great. So, why the review? Sure, it is not my favorite location. Probably the only location I like less is the North Point location (what is with that parking lot, for starters?). But what drives me bonkers every time I come here is that there is a slew of employees sitting on the benches outside of the entrance smoking. Every. Single. Time. There has GOT to be a better and more appropriate place for an employee smoking area. It is just tacky. And a little trashy. Please, please Target management read this review and figure out a way to add some class to your store. Have the employees smoke out back. Just moved to the Cumming area and this Target is hands down amazing. As an avid Target lover, best customer service I've experienced. James helped check me out today and made sure I got the best discount and caught it when it automatically added my big coupon on such a small purchase. He chose to redo my order so I could save my coupon for a bigger purchase. True customer service and very small business like wanting what's best for the customer rather than the company. read more

My Waterpik gave up the ghost so I was wanting another. John's Creek Target had one but I didn't like the color. I found the color I wanted at Walmart in Cumming. As I was checking out, I saw it was $64 w/tax; oh my, but I took it home anyway. I decided to check Target online when I got home. Well Target, about a block away from the Walmart, had the same appliance, color and all, for about $5 cheaper. Imagine that, Target cheaper than Walmart. It was apparent when I went into target today that they value their money more than their customers. I was wanting to make a simple purchase of a Blu-Ray movie that was on their website for 24.99 but in the store for 32.99. So thinking that they would match their online pricing I proceed to purchase the movie only to find out that they would not do that at all. So I asked if they would match a competitor's price of 24.99, they informed me that they would but I would have to go the to that store grab the sales ad and come back and show them the ad. This made it very clear to me that Target would rather you go to the competition and shop than stay in their store and spend money. I would like to thank the Manager (AJ) for opening my eyes to horrible customer service. Due to the lack of customer service I will NEVER shop at target again. And I did go right down the street and buy the movie from Wal-Mart for 24.99 because they matched the online price that Target had. read more

Come on, you know what Target is. This location is not the newest, shiniest or biggest but there is nothing wrong with it. There is a Starbucks (very decent), a Portrait Photo (about to try it), and Vision. Coffee: I actually prefer the results at the Starbucks here over the regular SB down the street- those people are always super rushed and screw up 50% of my orders. I go out of my way to get coffee here and stretch my legs around the store. Check-out: I've been here 1000 times in 10 years. Of course there are not 10 cashiers open- so what? Most times whenever I see there are 8+ people waiting to check out they immediately open new registers. And now they have 4 self-checkout kiosks. Shoppers just rush the registers at random times, right? It happens. I think 95% of my checkouts are under 5 minutes. Normal people: I appreciate there is a Walmart nearby- it helps keep some of those problem people over there. I don't like obnoxious behavior shoppers, and no that's not a code word for anything except unpleasant people (they come in all kinds of packages, right?). Meaning usually no weirdos trolling the isles and no fist fights. (Your personal tastes may vary and that is fine, don't take offense. I love you man.) re: some reviews: Retail price is sometimes different than website. That's true of plenty of stores, again so what. Learn how to use pick up at store. Of course people will complain when they are asking for a "special exception" to the store policy and don't get it. Be an informed shopper. Don't blame them when you are not. Nothing magical about that shopping advice. I take these with a grain of salt. Returns: I've never had any issues with returns here. I have seen them deal with a few problem customers and do a reasonable job of it. The golden rule applies, be nice and not snotty and you make it easier to treat you well. Ok- some of my family has a hard time with this when they are annoyed too. lol. btw- on the positive side, a few times over the years I have had to point out the price at the register was not the same as the sale sticker price on the shelf, and every time they honor the sticker (even if it should have been taken down). read more

Writing my review about our experience today. This store is clean and have had mostly positive experiences in the past. Today we were looking in the kitchen section. When passing an aisle we saw an employee throwing a complete, somewhat violent, fit. His exact words were, " That f___ing dumb a__ put everything in the wrong place!" He then started to violently push the cart and stuff things in it. It was scary. When leaving we asked to speak to the store manager. Come to find out....he was the store manager - Steve. Very disappointing. I am sure an employee did put things in the wrong place. Many jobs are stressful. This is not how the store manager should behave when things didn't go right. So incredibly sad right now, this Target has PLUMMETED as a decent shopping experience! We've shopped here weekly since it opened, even passing the Target in Johns Creek to get to it because we liked it better but the past several months it has completely gone down hill, so sad! ONE employee has always been a constant joy and help, Jerry. Everyone else there comes and goes and has no idea how to run a store. Tonight was our final experience there! My little girl had to use the restroom, fast, so I ran to the pharmacy one, no toilet paper, so we ran to the one at the front of the store...oh wow! I am willing to stake large sums of money on the fact that there are crime scenes that are cleaner! I've never been so disgusted with a restroom, porta-potties included!!! The first stall had BLOOD all over the toilet, second overflowing with tp and bodily fluids, third one the seat was covered in urine, next literally had large pieces of solid bodily waste floating in it! At this point, around the gagging, I asked my daughter if she could hold it as she whimpered "no". So after checking the next one that overflowed I broke down and cleaned the seat of urine in the handicapped stall! As my child washed her hands I checked the chart at the door and last cleaning was checked off at 2:30, it was 8:30 at night! It said to tell management if you had any concern, part of me said no way, I want out of the whole store after this, don't care if our cart is half full, I'm leaving, BUT I worried about the next Mom and child so I went off to ask for a manager. As I did, another employee in a yellow cart vest (I won't mention his name for his sake but he should be publicly ashamed regardless) came and asked "what's the problem?" I guess seeing the concern on my face. I told him I'd really like a manager and he insisted to know what for. I told him the women's restroom was a complete disaster. He said, "that's not possible!" because he had someone clean it in the last half hour (I informed him about the chart but he didn't have an answer for that). He got VERY RUDE, insisting that HE was doing the best he could! Very confrontational and when I asked for his name he said "I'll take care of it!" I found my husband and son in the store and insisted we leave right then since I was shaking from the way I was spoken to and the state of the restroom! Let's be clear, I'm from a large city up north and could curse a sailor out of a bar, I don't shy away from confrontation and I have 2 children so I know mess, it takes A LOT to rattle me! This employee was off the rails rude! I was just letting him know the restrooms were disgusting, I was too shaken to be rude back, I just had to clean a strangers urine off a seat, but he was able to be confrontational to me, no problem! My husband wanted to leave the cart full, (knowing if I'm upset to listen, because rarely will I come to him and say we need to leave a store, let alone a Target) but I couldn't do it, having worked retail I know how annoying that is so I said let's just check ourselves out, only completing 1/4 of our list. While checking out, my husband asked Jerry for a manager against my avoidance of the issue, he called for one by name but someone else came. My husband explained the situation while I checked us out and while she apologized I just wanted out of there! I couldn't un-see the things I'd seen in that restroom or let go of the anger coming off the employee in waves (he had to be the one in charge of the restrooms). I doubt we'll ever go back, it's one thing to be disgusting, it's a whole another to be confrontational towards a customer who is literally just trying to help. No way, just ridiculous! Employees must be very hard to come by if the restrooms look like that and others ate allowed to talk to customers like that! This place, man... I go there because Wal-Mart is disgusting, but this place doesn't rank high above them. The management is incompetent and TERRIBLE to the employees. This one time, after I got some amazing directions to an item, I had a small chat with the employee, and I'm pretty sure my time in retail has told me that this is "engaging with the customer", but this stiff and snarky lady, that I GUESS was their leader, scolds them about getting back to work and then proceeds to ask me if I needed help with anything in the most "Hurry up and get out of here" tone I have ever heard. A few other times I was there, I overheard maybe the big boss of the place (I think I heard someone call him Steve), talking about "Always ask a guest if they need help," and as I'm heading to the front to check out, I get asked 3 or 4 times, even by the boss! That's not helping, that's harassing! I feel like that alone was enough to warrant a 1-star, but then I hear about what goes on behind the scenes, and it's TERRIBLE! I don't know how they function, or even have employees with the number of issues these "Leaders" have. I'd rather fork over $60 for a Costco membership, or drive in rush-hour traffic to get to Kroger. The other Targets I've been in were nowhere near as bad, and to be completely honest, neither is Wal-Mart. read more

I had a normal shopping experience, but the 3 or so checkout lines that were open were rather long (not the worst problem). However while waiting in line, I noticed someone go to the register next to us with the light turned off... then an older woman got behind us and we told her she could check and see if the next register was open (because we had quite a few items and she only had a handful). We held her spot for her respectfully. She asked and low and behold Susan (the representative) said her line was open. The older woman asked why Susan's light was not on, and she said "oh I just came to help out". At this point we were next in line, but Susan has already cleared the 3 or 4 customers that joined her line after we were already waiting. She saw us (3rd or 4th in line right next to her and never mentioned that she was open or turned her light on, even after being asked about it). I am a person that has worked many different customer service jobs, and just did not appreciate the treatment. Our cashier however was great. 'Tar-zhay'! Aren't they all the same? Well, no....I can't quite put my finger on it (maybe it's the lighting)....but this location doesn't quite have the level of 'spiff' to it that other locations in the vicinity have, especially in the produce and meat areas. I always take it as a bad sign when the green beans are kinda rubbery, the beet tops are wilted, and the cauliflower heads have wittle bwown spots on them. Also, the clothing selections are not as neatly presented and displayed as other stores. If I'm up here and have a Target-related errand to run, I'll drop in. Make a special trip to here? This Target store is so-so. I actually really liked them until I went into a Target in Suwanee. After being there, my local Target didn't look so good. The other Target had more registers open than this one. The woman handing out free cookies at the bakery was nicer than at this one. What does this place have going for it? The photo studio is great. For less than $10 you can get a stack of nice pictures. The cashiers are friendly even though they are too pushy with asking you to get a red card. That being said i love using my red card and saving 5% on everything. read more

While the store is neat and clean, it is almost empty. I believe they have still not recovered from their system being hacked several years ago. They used to be fairly priced, but now not so much. I wanted to return diapers we had outgrown. No, I didn't have a receipt. Who keeps a receipt for diapers? First, they would only let me return 7/9 packs. Second, they wouldn't give me a store gift card. Said I had to exchange right then. I didn't have time then because I had my newborn with me. What's the difference between exchange and a store card? I want to give one star but I noticed I have no reviews with 2 stars. Honestly this place sucks so bad I flip it off whenever I drive by. I have never bought soda here where they charged me the advertised sale price. I've had to immediately go wait in another line after purchasing them to get my refund. The last time it happened I talked to the manager who made me even more angry with his apathetic attitude. He had one of the most punchable faces I've ever seen so inside I was laughing. Otherwise I would have given him a piece of my mind. Also, you will never see more than one register open of the literally 22 registers they have. Which brings up a good point- why do all Targets have at least 20 check out lanes and never have more than 2 open ever, in the history of the world. I have only been to target Twice since they decided that however someone identifies with themself is the bathroom and dressing room they use . The first I was out of town and by far closest to both hotel and courts my daughter was playing at. That was fine. I went again yesterday, I chose target because someone said they had a cute plain white tee my daughter would like, but also wanted to get snacks to send my son . Well, I will never go to this location again. The organization of grocery part was crazy, I get that you are updating it, but tons of stockers, all appeared miserable, and the few I started to approach to ask where poptarts were (not in cereal aisle, not in granola bar aisle, ended up next to goldfish???) they looked away right before I asked so I just kept looking and eventually found them. But the part that I am so over, is that they only had self checkout lanes open. There was a friendly girl helping some people, but they needed more than one girl. The girl there was giving it her all and trying to make the ones that needed help not feel awkward so I was impressed with that. But when I came in from grocery side walking towards women's clothes, there was a man probably mid to late 80s standing near registers...I went back and got groceries and when I went to checkout realized only self checkout area open..the man was still standing there with his toothpaste. I asked if he needed help and he says I need to pay for my toothpaste. I told him it looks like only self checkout lanes open. I showed him and let him in front of me. He went to register and just stood there...so I left mine and asked if I could help. I helped him and showed him how to pay cash and he left. The girl in area was preoccupied helping another lady who needed help. I am so sick of all these retail stores trying to cut out all customer service. There is no excuse not to have atleast one register manned by a cashier. It's nice to have option for people to check out on their own, but should have option. If you want customers to buy from you then act like you want them. You have joined Bank of America as a useless costumer service business. They are just as bad with an employee standing in bank trying to force you to make deposits and banking transaction at the atm. So done with this store. read more

I visited target on the 4th of July and I unexpectedly became ill before I was able to leave the store. I ran to the front near self check out in hopes to find the restroom, I ran into an employee that pointed me to the restroom but it was too late. I vomited water partially in the nearest trash but I miscalculated as well. I ran to the BR to clean up then returned to self-checkout to clean up my mess, employees surrounded the area waiting for janitorial services to arrive. While I was on the floor attempting to clean I began to cry from embarassment. JEFF assured me it was okay and got me to get up from the floor help was on the way! I went back to the restroom and then returned but stood a few aisle away from the mess I made when JEFF came over to make sure I was okay and to offer me something to drink. The experience was horrible but Jeff was the hero of my day. He assured me it happens to the best of us and everything would be okay. The store was clean and organized (lol before I made a mess) and the employees were friendly. Thank you Jeff and thank you Target! read more

WARNING: DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THE ELECTRONICS DEPARTMENT!!!! I am very displeased with the customer service at our local Target. I returned an unopened video game to the store with a receipt that I purchased for $40. They would only return $15 of my money because I was a few days past the 30 days printed on the receipt. I was able to find the same games currently selling in the store for $40. I talked with two managers and they were absolutely no help. One of them even told me that I could only get $15 for the game since another WII game was on sale over the last 90 days. I clarified that she didn't mean the game I was returning and she said the policy was to give the customer the lowest price of any game sold over the last 90 days. If you want any level of customer friendly support, avoid this store. In fact, you should probably only buy electronics, games, etc. from Walmart or Best Buy (even Best Buy has a better return policy). read more

I needed to take back a item that I received as a gift. I did not have a receipt. I had also taken something back a year before that was also a gift. so they told me I had to exchange from the same department. OKay, fine, I went to electronics and found 2 other things. Went back to customer service only to be told the things I had picked out from Electronics could not be used. This was my lunch 30 min...
