The first was to remove the existing flooring (VCT and old carpet). This was completed in a timely fashion. The 2nd job was to replace existing carpet and install a vapor barrier to ensure that water/moisture from the foundation would not seep into the carpet area. Once the job was completed, I have had no issues. NB Flooring did a great job!! Again, for jobs big and small, NB Flooring can get it done.

From the time that Ed estimated my job, to the conclusion of this nightmare project, FIVE MONTHS would pass! SC Flooring was the most unprofessional and dishonest business that I have ever dealt with. Janessa and Ed lied to me repeatedly and tried to breach our contract with hidden charges and price increases that were never even discussed or approved by me. Installations Made Easy had to police them and help me finally resolve the project. First in quoted one price but told they have to come and do the measurements themselves before doing the job, my measurements aren't good enough. We schedule to have them come and 3 hours after the appointment I get a call from them saying that they can be there in 30 minutes. I wait and get the quote, it's going to cost $50 extra from what I was originally told after their measurements. Then they ask for a deposit, cash only. I have no cash and am told that it's ok I can pay in full at the end. We schedule it for Tuesday morning. I confirm again on Sunday. Tuesday, an hour after they are supposed to show, I call to find out where they are. They are saying they won't do the job until I bring them $150 cash deposit. I get down there to speak to the manager. He's not there and they end up telling me they won't do the job till the next day. Horrible way to do business.

Sometimes when things go wrong ... it's the recovery that matters. Making good on a "job gone…read morebad" is the hallmark of any good company and the litmus test for true customer service. We hired Brite Floor (not the cheapest estimate) to take care of extensively cleaning a particularly stubborn limestone floor (a rather large area). The workers had to come back a day later with acid-based solution to really solve the problem. This had the unintended effect of staining all chrome & stainless steel surfaces within the general area (it aerosolized) within a couple of days (not immediately). Brite Floor sent back the two technicians (Thanks Carlos!) to remedy the problem. It took about 8 hours of labor to remedy the problem ... which they did perfectly. I have to admit that all stainless steel and chrome surfaces have never looked better. Clearly Brite Floor is a customer service oriented company and they stand by their work. This is clearly why they've been in business for so many years with their reputation held in high regard. Thank you Jon and Carlos.

I called on Friday to schedule a carpet cleaning and was told they would send personnel over for an estimate first. If the day was still open for cleaning, they could even start the carpet cleaning on the spot. I was confirmed an appointment time frame between 12-2pm Saturday. In addition, I received not 1 but 2 follow up emails to confirm the appointment. Saturday came and went with a no show, no call to reschedule or follow up and no email cancellation. Needless to say, we will not be using Brite Carpet Cleaners for any services.

(They no longer work with Lumber Liquidators for reasons that are easily found elsewhere.) We needed new flooring in our bedroom quickly when we discovered, just a few weeks before I was set to have major surgery, moths living in our 18-year-old wool rug. When making the installation appointment we were given information (how to store the new flooring material, how long it needed to acclimate before installation, etc.) that the flooring store did not give us. The installation team, 3 very able, friendly young guys, arrived on time and completed the work in half the time they estimated it would take. They were focused on getting the work done and did a great job of clean up afterward. Ever (that's the name of one of the installers) was easy to talk to, answered all our questions and always involved us when there was a design decision to be made. When we chose a click-together technique rather than glue-down he warned us that these floors can move. Sure enough, 4 months after the installation we had a handful of 1/8 to 1/4" gaps between boards. We called Isaac, explained the issue and, without hesitation, he offered to send up one of his guys to take care of the problem - without charge! Again, Izer (another unique, wonderful name!) arrived on time (driving up in the rain from Gardena to Encino!) explained to us what was happening and corrected the problem in less than an hour.
