In regards to the food cafe/court I was quoted 5-7 min for my pizza, I ended up waiting over 15 minutes while the clerk talked away with her friends and coworkers. She as well helped one of the customers immediately by giving them their food while my food was just sitting there, only until I came up to get my food the clerk acted like she forgot. I could understand if I was in a restaurant but for a mini pizza almost 20 min? Never coming here again. read more

I came to use a gift card I received over the holidays and after waiting in the long lines the cashier swiped my gift card, then accidentally voided it, attempted to re-ring up everything, and then re swipe the gift card... And behold! It didn't work. After literally 9 more failed attempts at re-running the transaction- doing the same thing over and over again, the cashier sent me to guest services with no receipt. She closed her lane and left for break. The line for guest services was extremely long and I couldn't leave even if I wanted to because my gift card had been wiped out with no proof. When I finally spoke with someone, they had to call for help. They had the nerve to ask me if I had another way to pay- extremely insulting- because that's not the point! Had I not had a gift card to begin with, I would have made my purchases somewhere else. The first person had no clue what to do and a second manager was called. Sean or Shaun or however you spell it FINALLY finds his way in and then takes an additional 25 minutes to go attempt to figure out who screwed up and print some record of what happened. By this time, I had been in the store almost 2 hours and was late for work. When they finally figured out that indeed the cashier screwed up and that the card should "probably" just take 24 hours to credit bAck the amount, I left with no valid card, and no purchases. Just a piece of paper with the voided transaction. As the head of the store, this guys best response was to come back in 24 hours and try again. For a mistake on Target and its incompetent employees part, I should have been issued a new gift card or credited for my transactions but I left with nothing to show for patiently waiting. It was a complete waste of time and extremely unprofessional. Needless to say, what can you expect from a new holiday hire. I expect more from a large company such as target. Thanks team! read more

I was there two days ago at about 11a.m. I spent about 15 minutes in the womens' clothing area near the fitting rooms looking for a particular item through most of the racks and NOT ONE employee asked if I needed assistance. NOT ONE. There was one standing in front of the fitting room doing nothing; eventually there were three; one apparently saw herself as some sort of supervisor. They were busy chatting loudly about their breaks. What do they need breaks from? I found one item that I had been looking for and proceeded to the greeting card area. I was almost run over by an employee pushing a tall wheeled cart full of merchandise which she could not see around. Why do they insist on stocking shelves DURING STORE HOURS? It's RIDICULOUS. Found a greeting card, proceeded to self-checkout. Turns out the greeting card was $6.99! Almost SEVEN DOLLARS for a GREETING CARD? WTH? And, no, it didn't play music nor have any fancy embellishments. As I left the store, the exit alarm sounded. I paused, looked around, not one employee gave a crap, so I walked out. It turns out that the clothing item had one of those sensors on it! Shouldn't the employee that helped me at the self-checkout thought of that? Now I have to go back in there...UGH. I realize that good help is hard to find, but...those twits visiting in front of the fitting room when customers are within earshot? Worthless. read more

Went through the full target kiosk application process.the tablet gives a prompt to contact At&t directly to finish my application process on the tablet they make you plugg in your personal information on.....continue as told by the target rep to call at&t.....finish getting sold by a deceptive sales practice agent which took 2 hours to finish my FBI background credit check. Ensured by the sales rep that i still would be eligible for my target gift card as long as i provide my confirmation number of sale. Long story short go as instructed to target to redeem my card only to be rejected and told im not eligible beacuse i didnt finish the sale with target and the item was purchased through target. Then why in the world is your kiosk prompt telling me to call at&t and why isnt at&t aware of the false promises and deceptive sales agents are making to make a sale. Big loop hole between 2 major companies and how simple the consumer is left hanging with false promises and no out of the box thinking to remedy the torn relationship of making good on a sale and an exchange in good in America. read more

This is my go to Target! I love that it is a part of the mall; it makes things very convenient when I need the basics plus a cute outfit for the weekend! Being from a small town, I also get a kick out of the escalator that takes your cart as well! It is clean and never long lines at the cash register. Parking however can be a bit ridiculous. I've never dealt with the more incompetent pharmacy staff in my life. The people were incredibly rude on the phone today it took 15 phone calls to get somebody to finally answer my part questions properly and then even after the fact, they still weren't able to help me. I have never been so disappointed in service in my life especially when it has to do with healthcare and I will never be coming back here again. They do not put the patient first they put all the blame on me when they made the mistake of not letting me know that my prescription had been up and they have been unsafe and not getting me my medication in a proper lead time. Definitely should have more cashiers ready and available to open because that tends to be a problem in my past experiences. The store is usually pretty well kept (well organized and not a total mess, the way other Target locations sometimes are) but they're often out of stock on many items. Their food department is not good. Many times I've bought milk from there that spoiled prior to the expiration date and their "fresh fruit" is hardly fresh. Honestly this place truly does suck. It's only convenient because it's inside the mall. The constant but constant racial profiling is just something else. I came in after work and I use a backpack god knows how many times I was being followed because they thought me and my sister were going to steal. It's interesting because on the news someone stole 35 times but they did nothing but I get treated like if I turn in a corner where there's no visible employee I'm going to put something in my backpack. It didn't stop there. It got worse at the checkout area downstairs. I was having trouble with my target card that I forgot my pin and I set up a new one but it still wasn't working so me and my sister went to the self checkout because it was empty and in case it didn't work at least I wasn't holding up a line or anything. Nope one of the cashiers made sure to send the security guard Antonio to watch us that we were going to pay. He couldn't had made it anymore obvious because he was chit chatting with the cashiers and as soon as he saw me and my sister walk in to the check out area he appeared almost on top of what we were ringing up. Anyways, I tried my target card again and it didn't work so I had to wait for the attendant which there was one there but she was busy with someone else so I was waiting for her to finish up no the same cashier that sent the security guard over came running to see what was going on. Like literally she was almost but literally almost on top of me when she got there asking what seemed to be the issue like uh if you're coming over and you already touched the register you can see the issue. No need to be all in my face about it. So I just paid with something else but it was so frustrating to need to deal with an experience like this. Encountered Matt and David at Target Canoga Park, today after returning an item I purchased less than 5 days ago. I brought the item to guest services where I was told it was not in the correct box ..so they were not going to take it back. I reminded them that I purchased the item from Target the exact same way as I am returning it. The item is the actual product and if the sticker on the box and product are different how is that my fault? If they are selling unwrapped items anyone can open items and the sales clerk could repackage in the wrong box. If they are so stringent with such item, they need to confirm packaging sticker matches the item's sticker. Why should I be subject to loose my money due to their negligence. I called corporate no help,so I went to Target on Ventura. They did not ask any interrogation questions, they took the item back and apologized that it was not in the correct box. I am still upset at the level of service or lack of, that I received from Target -Canoga Park. I have filed a complaint with the BBB. I have cut Wal-Mart and WalGreens out of my merchants list and Target your next. read more

Avoid at all cost: First off Customer Service is a ZERO. I normally go to the one and shop in west hills because it's a bit closer to me. I purchased something from the west hills store then decided less than 24 hours I don't want it and since I was making some purchases at the Coach store I decided to take that product to return to them to save me a trip from going back to West Hills..... FAILED! The lady named Natalie was a BITCH! and the Manager David Biggest Idot I have seen in my life. I don't curse up a storm but let it be heard. I was told there was dirt on what i was returning... WTF? I never checked the merchandise when I was there and now I'm being told this shit? The Manager David stated "We don't sell dirt on our products" (Which was smaller than a dime so i never saw it) Well dumbass has it ever f'n occurred to you that maybe your customers touched things with dirty hands???? . I went to the Target store where I purchased it from and they returned it even after they saw the dirt on it.... no questions asked. Bad location for buying toys. So many families shop here from the mall that the toy section is always a mess. Though it gets 4 stars for the location. I work in the mall and being able to get lunch at target is the best! Cheaper food and better variety. From the fresh pizza hut to the 2nd floor grocery section. Its a win in my book. read more

Somehow managed to get lost trying to get to a different Target, a specific one that stocks a particular food item I like that some of the other stores don't carry. I had a big list and I've never used this Target as a destination spot to shop. They, being two stories had everything I was looking for and more. But the thing that made this trip so much better and a pleasure, was my checker, Guillermo. It was late, closing time, and Guillermo couldn't have had a more pleasant and patient attitude. Location is key. This place is part of the Westfield Topanga Mall. The parking structure has plenty of enough parking. However, some parts are more popular than the other. The lines have a constant flow of shoppers which means don't expect to a quick purchase on a hurry. This target has a good selection of everything it usually has. The only problem is that I feel they need more staff. There is so much foot traffic and aisle clean ups. I have to walk around the store just to find someone to help me find a certain item. Normally love this target except for the fact that they frequently shut their bathrooms and today was no exception. I went to use the down stairs restroom and found it closed so I then went to the upstairs restroom, there was no toilet paper in the stalls, the stall I was in wouldn't lock correctly and the door opened every time someone entered or exited the adjacent stalls,the floor had urine all over it and there was dirty toilet paper all over the floor as well. I just don't understand if they close the restrooms for cleaning so darn often why are they not then clean and stocked properly?? I will stick to the Target on Balboa in Northridge. read more

I came here to buy formula and some other food items and I was over charged by $50 dollars. The manager Vicky and the new cashier were not helpful at all and accused me of not listening to their claim that I was actually charged less. I bought about $100 worth of goods and the manager stated that I should of been charged more about $170. This was later determined incorrect by another manager at the West Hills store, Andres. I was charged $10 for a carton of Horizon milk that was listed as 4.99 on the shelf. Then I was charged a deposit fee of $20 dollars with the item listed as $10 for two deposit fees. CRVs are no more than 8 to 10 cents. In addition, I purchased two Enfamil formula boxes that were on promotion. The promotion listed that I would get a $10 coupon if I buy two. Instead I was charged for two Promo cards a total of $20. Vicky and the cashier NEVER apologized for their error and were very condescending during the resolution process. I called the corporate line and filed a complaint and will be filing a complaint with CA consumer agency. Just be beware and check your receipt carefully as the manager there cannot comprehend Target's own receipt and pos system. Vicky is the worst manger I ever dealt with and to top it off, she cannot do basic math. I told her that this was worst customer service experience I had ever. Even after going back to customer service she blew me off over the walkie talkie. read more

Terrible customer service. I was on the second floor with a cart full of items and they had no check out available except self checkout. I was told one was open downstairs. So I had to go downstairs. I spoke with the manager Oscar who told me they have no choice because of "payroll"??? Seriously the prices are still higher then they should be and as a customer since I'm paying I should have that convenience of at least one open register upstairs. UnfortunAtely Target cares more about the bottom line, I.e "payroll" minimum wage bs then repeat business. No wonder they suck.
