First, the song selection system wasn't the easiest to use. The device, tucked into the corner of the room, had a lot going on--options to order food, search by language, browse top songs, etc.--which is great in theory, but I didn't find it very user-friendly. I searched for Alicia Keys, Lady Gaga, and Rosé, but none of them showed up. I must've done something wrong, but I couldn't figure it out, so I resorted to scrolling through artists alphabetically. Another issue was the lyrics on the screen-- the highlighted words didn't match up with the song, making it hard to sing along if you didn't already know the lyrics by heart. On top of that, there was no way to skip intros or interludes, so you had to sit through the full music video unless you skipped the song entirely. Also, no tambourine in the room? Is that not a thing anymore? I wanted to play along while my friends sang, but apparently, that wasn't an option. Lastly, the way our session ended felt abrupt. I'm used to getting a time check before our booking is up, but instead, we were just told to leave when our time was over. It wasn't a huge deal, but it did feel a little rushed. I was confused. He was very kind and very respectful and very receptive. I was absolutely grateful and appreciative from his kindness. But the bathrooms were absolutely disgusting, terrible... what would you call it? The door knobs were sideways, there were no paper towels, I don't mind hovering.., that's part of the night life. But what is this. The karaoke, itself, mics were cool, but the tablet was either super sensitive or you had to reset..., 10,000 times to get a song. Overall, come here for a last minute thing, but don't expect an amazing time. Singing at home with friends is a better experience and much cheaper.
