I don't live too far away from here but it's always a trek coming down to downtown LA. And the tickets I received is said to park in the music center garage. Parking was $10 and really efficient. It took a while to get our bearings to find out where we could park and what was available. And at the very end, it was actually pretty efficient to get out of there as well. We're on level P6 and we were directed to go down towards the lower level and everything was very efficient to then come back up to the surface.. It's a beautiful venue. It's not huge, but they're able to make great use of the space. We sat in the balcony and got a great view and we were able to see everything fairly well. There are lots of concession stands throughout and you're even able to pre-order drinks and snacks and beverages for the intermission. Overall, it's a great venue, it's even closer to me than the Pantages, where they have a lot of other musicals as well. We caught a great show here too. This is definitely a hidden gem that I'll be excited to come back to again in the future when there are future events. Everything is so well organized and it was a great experience.

Most of the seats have a decent view of the stage, although the seats are pretty narrow so you're almost elbow to elbow with the person sitting next to you. It does get a little warm in the theatre too and I wish they'd lower the temperature of the AC a couple of degrees. Parking is usually pretty easy at the music centre garage for $10 but do arrive early as the line to get into the garage can get backed up.

I have been to the LA Philharmonic Walt Disney Concert Hall several times to see/hear different genres of music from ballet, to symphony, to jazz, and of course classical music, and during the holidays they give a great performance by their choir. Those of you who know me, know I love classical music and do have my favorite composers: Chopin, Vivaldi and Mozart. On Sunday, March 29th at 7:30pm my friend and I went to see Strauss, Bruch, & Moussa's elegant, classy performance that shook up the whole entire venue and the audience. It was just MAGNIFICENT! 10/10 The venue itself is STUNNING! Glamorous and easy to navigate all the aisles. Our seats were very comfortable and you can see the stage from any corner/angle since the theatre is not that big. Also has balcony seating. Tickets were $50 a piece not including tax. It has a beautiful gift shop, garden, different restaurants all around the building, and a small store where you can purchase some beverages and snacks. Overall, a GREAT performance and we both had a lovely time. Parking is $10 with few an entrances and few restrooms for both men & women. Thank you all for another AWESOME performance!! Will definitely return again next time I get a brochure or pamphlet in my mail.

The performance was even more amazing than we had imagined & so lively! Music | The LA Phil was incredible! The sounds of the different instruments, made a beautiful melody! The soft, beautiful, magical, fairytale-like sounds, as if butterflies are fluttering about were my favorite! I especially love the sound of the flutes! It was also incredible hearing the powerful, booming sounds, as the musicians played fiercely! It really stirred up excitement inside & made my heart race at times! Performance | Elim Chan & Masabane Rangwahasha | 100% fabulous! They were both incredible! It was amazing seeing a female conductor lead with so much passion, grace, as well as excitement! It's as if she was doing a beautiful yet powerful dance! Hearing the beautiful voice and talent radiating from Masabane, as she sang opera was mesmerizing! She stood confident, poised & proud and was a sight to be seen and heard! Walt Disney Concert Hall | Magical! I loved all of the curves and shapes of the building, both inside and outside, as well as the majestic shades and colors throughout! Drinks & Bites | I was excited to see refreshments, as I know, we were going to eat afterwards, but a light bite was perfect! I enjoyed a few bites of my chocolate brownie & my friend and I had a glass of red wine! Our bartender was awesome! I believe he was located on the fourth floor, personality plus, thanks again! Also, eating is only allowed in the lobby areas! Intermission | 15-20 Minutes! Overall | I'm super excited to return for future performances at the Walt Disney Concert Hall, as it truly was a magical experience!

From the gorgeous costumes to the seamless scene transitions, every detail was beautifully executed. The set design and overall production quality were truly spectacular, and I thoroughly enjoyed every moment. The sound quality was excellent. I could clearly understand everything the actors were saying, even from my seat in the back of the Orchestra section. The live orchestra was phenomenal--the music was absolutely beautiful and added so much emotion and energy to the performance. The theater itself is gorgeous. During intermission, I walked upstairs to take in the entire space, and I was in awe of how beautiful and grand the venue is. It's worth taking a few minutes to explore and appreciate the architecture. I sat in the Orchestra section, Section ZZ, on the far left end. While the seats were still enjoyable, my view was partially obstructed by the overhang from the upper level. There was also a scene involving the iconic chandelier where I wished I had been seated a bit closer so I could fully appreciate the effect and see more of the theater from that perspective. Intermission was about 20 minutes long, which gave everyone enough time to stretch, explore the theater, and grab refreshments. They offer a full bar, wine, snacks like candy and pretzels, and souvenirs are also available for purchase during intermission. One tip: as soon as intermission begins, head straight to the women's restroom. I was able to get there right away and was first in line. Within minutes, the line became incredibly long! The employees were also incredibly friendly and professional. They did a great job ensuring guests stayed off their phones so the bright screens wouldn't distract others during the performance. I also appreciated that once the show started, late seating was held for approximately the first 10 minutes to minimize disruptions. After that, guests were allowed to enter and exit as needed. Even with the partially obstructed view, the performance was so incredible that it didn't take away from the overall experience. If you're planning to attend, I would recommend sitting a little closer if your budget allows. Regardless, it's an unforgettable experience, and I can't wait to return to the Hollywood Pantages for another show.

It's a true community event, and after a few visits, I started inviting my family to join. Fast forward to now--my daughter is three, and we recently attended the orchestra performance that featured Dr. Dre's music. I brought my entire family, and we all had an amazing time. It felt like a huge picnic under the LA sky. Bring your favorite snacks, food, blankets, and lawn chairs. They also have vendors selling food and drinks if you want to buy something there. The event is completely free--you just sign up for tickets in advance, which helps them gauge headcount. They also offer season passes with prime viewing areas if you want a reserved spot closer to the stage. The bathrooms are clean, the event is well organized, and there's convenient parking right underneath the venue--we paid just $10. It was a packed house and such a great vibe. I've even shared videos because the energy was so incredible. If you love live music, this is a must-try experience. It's family-friendly, fun, and a great way to spend an evening in the city. Shoutout to the organizers of these summer series of free concerts at this venue. It's great for the community and everyone is very friendly. They do provide some seating here but you can also bring your own chairs. It's surrounded by commercial businesses and tall buildings with several restaurants nearby. We did notice that a lot of the local restaurants close after business hours (around 5p) but there were a few food trucks out front. The food took about 30-35 mins so if you have young ones be prepared. The venue is kid friendly and my boys enjoyed playing on the steps in the front to get their energy out. The open space, the vibe and the acoustics in the area were all such a vibe especially at night! My advice would be to follow grand performance on Instagram and catch one of these summer free concerts with the family, if possible. Make sure to bring a jacket because it does get a little chilly and windy when the sun goes down. As far as parking goes, we parked at the Broad Museum's parking structure on 2nd street for $19. They close their garage at 10:30p so make sure to give yourself about $15 minutes to walk a block to the garage before they close. Overall, I highly recommend checking out a concert here. It was such a great experience and my kids had a blast! This is such a great place for the community. Also note that the historic Angels Flight Railway Trolly is within walking distance and that will take down to the Grand Central Marketplace. Be aware that the wait times can be a little longer before and after a concert due to a lot of people leaving and arriving at the same time. OOOOO 5 out of 5 Afros

I had a third row seat that was under $40 & I could see & hear everything perfectly. In fact, because the stage is round and the seats are in an arc around it, it really doesn't seem like there is a bad seat in the house. The plaza that the theater is in reminds me of Lincoln Center in NYC, and enjoying the programming here really feels like "going out" as the area is brightly lit and festive. There are several eateries snd a wine bar in the plaza. You can also bring drinks and snacks to your seats. I'm also happy to note that the staff & ushers were all very nice. The small cast did an excellent job & even with a heavy subject, they still managed to get laughs out of us as well as many moments of absolute, reverent silence because we could feel what Kenneth was going through. Don't think too deeply. The actors, ambiance, decorations and room setups were well done. The ice room could've been colder with some dry ice. I do think it's pretty steep for a 35 minute escape maze and the behind the scenes was cool but short. The whole experience took us an hour, including bathroom breaks. I recommend going early because it seemed like the actors don't get a lot of breaks so I'm glad I got to see their more passionate acting when they're not tired yet.
