Had dinner at Tara last night (NYE). Not sure what to expect but we were very pleasantly surprised and impressed.
From the moment we walked in we were warmly greeted by the owner and made to feel at home. Whilst we did not have any special diet requests,when querying a dish for my daughter, the offer was made that whatever she liked, they could make up for her.
Some of the standout dishes were Escalivada - roasted organic eggplants, capsicum and zucchini served with gluten free crisp flatbread, Ginger Chicken - free range chicken breast fillets coked in ginger pandanus broth, topped with sesame soy sauce, book choy and ginger rice, Salt & Pepper Squid - using sustainable squid, seasoned with roasted crushed peppercorns and Himalayan sea salt and garlic aioli.
The meals used super fresh and organic ingredients.
5 happy people left with the intention of returning to try the lunch time menu soon.
