David Weekley Homes in the San Antonio region have not been top-notch builders for sure. Our home was finished to our liking after a grueling time to make it top notch. We have had Air Conditioning problems since we moved in. David Weekley's air conditioning partner (AirTron) for warranty service installed a 3 ton air conditioner for our home and they have been out at least 3 times because of not cooling or heating efficiently. Over the past two years we've had trouble with cooling in the summer, with an AC that couldn't make it to 76 degrees, and we found out heater wasn't assembled correctly for the winter. We had multiple Freon leaks, and the duct work was installed incorrectly from the very beginning (based upon our current A/C vendor). Our warranty went out a few months ago with AirTron, so we tried a different AC company. Turns out, our 3250 sq. ft. home with 10ft-12ft ceilings should have a 5 ton AC, after occupying our home for less than 2 years. So, we now have to replace the entire AC and Heating to cover the 3250 sq. ft. at a cost of $16k out of our pockets. Mr. David Weekly, and the San Antonio sales and warranty people: What will you do to correct this for us? We went through brutal summers and freezing during the winter for 2 years? And as for AirTron. They are not qualified to AC/Heating in my humble opinion. Get someone else that will do a professional job. I'm wondering if there are other David Weekley homeowners with this same problem? If so, please chime in.

Kevin in the warranty department continues to go above and beyond for me. recently I had a closet…read morecompany come in and design my closet. one of the things I wanted was to match the handles and door knobs for the rest of the home. after an extensive search the designer couldn't find a match. Kevin from David Weekely contacted the supplier, and even though the handles were no longer stocked, Kevin found the exact hardware needed, and delivered them to me for installation. above and beyond. I'm so happy.

I contracted Ace Countertop for 2 bathroom remodeling work. After receiving half the payment…read moreupfront, they didn't start one of the bathrooms and left the other one incomplete. At first, they had pretty good communication, but then only promises, and broke communication. Subsequent requests for a refund or completion of the project were ignored. Communication ceased, and I was blocked from their social media platforms. Individuals involved include Albert, Jacob, and Luis Alberto. The company involved was Ace Countertops. I believe this to be a fraudulent operation. I urge potential customers to exercise extreme caution when considering this company. Be careful!

So I got a referral to work with Ace Countertops for my kitchen backsplash project. Jacob Herrera,…read morethe outside sales representative sent a quote with visuals after visiting us for estimation. We approved the quote and sent 50% of the deposit. My carpenter came by to install wall shelves mounts on the bare drywall first because that's what Ace Countertop suggested. So the sequences of the project for the wall would be shelve mounts, slabs, and then the wooden shelves as last. Since the mounts were going edge to edge, we had to make a change order from the initial slab designs Jacob proposed. We communicated to Jacob and Augustin, the template manager who came to my house for templates that we would send visuals/mockups of the wall since the slabs had to be cut into smaller measurements. We also wanted to keep the original direction for the veins since it required 3 slabs as Ace Countertop suggested. Ace Countertop approved the change order and told us they have the templates set up so they can go based on our mockups. When they came to install, we noticed that the slabs were rotated to cut which did not match the change order. It did not look like what they had proposed either. So my husband and I tried to call them, tried to talk to their managers, tried to meet them in their fabrication warehouse, and we still could not talk to anyone who could help to solve the issue or even hear the proper reasons why it delivered as it did. They came back saying it's their machine that doesn't cut the veins horizontally (original direction of the slabs). It did not make sense. We're using 3 slabs and the materials are not being used fully based on what other vendors have presented to us with their own visuals. Since we could not talk to any managers or project managers and Jacob was the sales representative and Sabrinah was the receptionist, we did not know where to go to solve the issue anymore. No one higher up reached out to us or answered our calls. We felt hopeless and I could not waste my time on things that weren't handled properly or professionally so we expressed we would like to back out and asked for a full refund since it was not my fault. Ace Countertops could not deliver what they promised or approved. Sabrinah said we would get a full refund but after a week of us trying to call her again, our call finally went through and she told us we would only get 50% back. No proper explanation of anything once things went south. We didn't get any refund from them. They owe me $4,012.82 for my deposit. They took all the materials so I still have bare drywalls and my carpenter cannot proceed with his own project to build the wall shelves. a kitchen hood and a covering. I spoke to 6 other vendors for the same project. No one has told me this is not a doable project. I don't know why Ace Countertops can't deliver what they have promised. I'm clearly your customer that you decided to ignore. At this point, I don't know how to not look at you as FRAUD. As you already know who I am, you still pretend like Eric, that Sabrinah Herrera said that's the owner but she doesn't even know his last, the owner she works for. Albert's Hererra who appears to be the project manager, Sabrinah had been mentioning several times, lied to us that Jacob and Sabrinah had never brought this issue with my project to him. I am not sure how hard it is for his own kids to speak to him about it over dinner. Since he is also not returning our calls, we're sharing our fraud story with Ace Countertops so no one has to go through this with them. DO NOT WORK WITH ACE COUNTERTOPS. I bought a completed home by David Weekley and closed on June 30, 2017. There were about 10 things…read morethat I wanted to be completed with the home prior to closing. I was told by the sales rep and the builder on the day of closing that if I changed my closing date, I would be charged a fee. I did not need to worry because everything was going to be completed and "they were not that kind of builder" to leave me after closing and they had a "reputation" to maintain. I was promised everything; my yard was going to get mowed, the house was going to be re-landscaped, the outside of the house was going to be repainted, the inside would be repainted, and then the inside repainted again after I moved in (if there were scratches from the movers), and all of the things that needed to be completed would be done in a timely manner. After numerous text messages, phone calls, and emails; everything was completed on August 29, 2017. I had a lot of difficulties with the builder and in text messages he told me that I was "bugging him and the sales rep" and that's why they couldn't get stuff done. I was out of work and on leave from July 4 through July 20 and the work on the house could have been completed at any of those dates/times. Afterwards I had to have somebody come to the house about 14 times to meet with the contractors and warranty to let them in the house. I didn't have any leave from work so luckily somebody was able to come out or I would have sued for lost wages. Eventually everything was transferred to warranty since the builder couldn't help me and I asked about the timeframe for when everything that was promised at closing was going to be completed and I was told "With all my respect, we will address all issues but Warranty doesn't make promises and gives dates. We work with the availability of the trades we use and the homeowners availability and try to maximize on the work to be done when that happens." After that I got the regional manager involved and within 2 to 3 weeks everything had been completed. Meanwhile, I kept getting text messages from the builder asking for a survey to be completed so that he could get his bonus. I told him that I would not do the survey until after everything was completed that way my results on the survey would be very accurate as to completion dates and times. I think my overall experience could have been more smooth if the builder had some integrity. If he had been honest and forthcoming at the beginning and told me that it was going to take months for the stuff to be completed, then things would've gone over better and I wouldn't be so upset. I feel like David Weekley wanted to sell a house and afterwords could care less about customer satisfaction. I currently know of three people that were looking for houses around the time that I was and because of what I went through they will never buy a home from David Weekley. I love my home and am currently happy with it but the whole buying experience aftermath was horrible. Here is the list of what needed to be completed: *Window kitchen beading fixed *Window sill fixed (little bricks not secure) *Missing 3 fan knobs *Lawn needs to be mowed *Touch up paint kit *Missing cover over water hole in front yard *My neighbor can open my garage door with his remote *Outside house painted *Inside of house painted *Hose spickets attached to house x2 *AC does not feel cold; 10 degrees off.... *Plug on floor in living room does not work
