I wanted to move on and cut my losses as they did try but didn't have insurance or the funds to properly repair this but now I'm so upset about I had to fight for 8 days to get a slab that looks like a DIY and on top of it I'm being blamed? Just wow. Original: DO NOT HIRE CARL MILLER or STRUCTURE PROs!!!! Look at my terrible slab. I paid him and now will be stuck dragging this to court because he's unresponsive. Nonetheless, our contact person Madeleine and her crew came out to assess our foundation and cracks and some mold from the humidity in the crawlspace. In the end we went with mold remediation, a sump pump, new vapor barrier, joist lifts, and air sealing to keep out the creepy crawlies. Big ticket expense, but when compared to the competition, we went with them because of the thoroughness with the estimate interview and the willingness to answer all of our questions, they were also well-spoken of on other review sites including a popular large community message board, and the price was pretty comparable. Also, the crew was very good. My only ding would be was not putting the items in the crawlspace back in the order that it was originally, which saved space. But to add to their credit, we have one additional project that needs to be done outside of Little Corner's scope and the new company took a look at Little Corner's work and said "They did a very good job, this is how we would have done it." Before Sean's inspection, we were advised of the initial inspection cost and were able to schedule a specific date/time to meet him at the property. We were definitely impressed by his professionalism. His structural report provided us with the data needed to negotiate an appropriate purchase price for a house with deferred maintenance. After our purchase, Sean and his crew got to work immediately to repair structural damage, install an efficient drainage system and seal the crawl space. With the wet spring we've had this year, we've learned our new sump pump runs 24/7! I think we've discovered the fountain of youth under our house! Sean's always been responsive and worked to resolve the additional moisture issues. All covered by his initial quote, so he stands by his work. There have been times when Sean's shown up unannounced; however, it's always been for something we've requested.
