For starters I am very leery of all contractors, builders and so-called handymen. You are their mercy and you never know if you are getting a fair deal or if you will receive quality work. This property is situated in Surfside Beach, SC. With that being said, I a had serious structure issue with a vacation rental property that I did not know existed until I put the house for sale. The entire weight of the house had no support joist carrying the weight of the dwelling. This was discovered during the inspection process of the home. I called four different companies and received quotes from them all. I choose Structure Pros because of the professionalism and trust that I felt when I interacted with the owner Carl. Carl took the time to explain to me the level of work that needed to be done and helped my wife and I make an informed decision on how we wanted to proceed forward. To be honest, I choose a cheaper priced contractor and when I asked them to explain the scope of work they made it seemed as if we were a burden and that I should not be concerned with how the work is performed, but the focus on the finished product. Needless to say, they were gone in the matter minutes. I reached back out to Structure Pros and these guys had the work completed in 3 days. They provided before and after pictures of the work performed which blew my mind at the level of poor craftsmanship that Structure Pros had to come behind the builder to correct. The floors in the home are level now, no more noticeable dips in the floors and crackling noises as you walk throughout the property. We have had numerous showing, plenty of foot traffic and two deals to fell through because of the floors in the home. With the work that Structure Pros has completed, we had a bidding war for the house and a full cash offer for the purchase of the property. I had some concerns with the Floor and Crawl Space of My Home. We Called Several Companies but Carl Was The only one who responded to our concerns the same day. We flip houses and sometimes run into unforeseen Structural Repair needs, typically in the Crawl Space and occasionally in the Foundation if it appears to be cracking or sinking. For us since we've been working together for awhile the will go out and do a Free Foundation Inspection, Free Crawl Space Inspection as well as a Free Structural Inspection before we buy and the let us know exactly what we may or may not be getting into.
