I cannot say enough good things about RGR Roofing and Construction! Over my 33 years in commercial…read morereal estate I've dealt with many contractors in all the disciplines. RGR replaced a pretty complex roof for us on our oceanfront home. The roof is a low slope roof and is metal framed and welded to the metal frame of the actual home. We initially spoke with Elliot Rue and from the first conversation, we could tell this company focuses on quality detailed work not just turning a job. Both the owner, Greg, and Greg Ford met us at the house to go over the specifics of the job and the logistics of moving and storing materials on the barrier island. We were kept in the loop throughout the process and we sent many pictures during installation. I am impressed with the skill of the crew as well as the oversight by both owner and supervisor as the work progressed. We will be meeting this fall to go over some other upgrades to our house. With confidence, I strongly recommend using RGR Construction!

The real problem is that while painting my upstairs bathroom they put towelettes into the toilet and clogged it resulting in a overflow through the ceiling into my 1st floor. They were playing the music so loudly they did not hear the toilet water running! Tried to blame it on plumbing, but basically admitted in text messages to putting the towelettes into the toilet! Claim to be GL insured, but refuse to give binder info. Now not showing up to repair the damages. Next step court. (BTW I believe they generate their own reviews on here.) For those who dont want to read...the end product agreed upon is fantastic and very well built...I…read morewould even go as far as to say overbuilt...which is good. I truly dont think you will find a better product in the Wilmington area....they truly build great decks....for those that want to read....I will take you thru our process..... If you want a quick turnaround on your deck, dont count on it, it will take several months. They are busy. Process- Salesman arrives in March...he is fantastic and helps us solve a couple of issues we had concerns with...two other companies did not. He explained procedure....10% down, if you cancel you lose half of your deposit...40% when they start and balance of 50% when project completed. You will have to submit plans to HOA for approval, they will take care of all the other permits...very convenient. We had our down payment in by the end of March and were put in Que...we were told the completion date would be mid June to late June.....their price was higher than the other two quotes....significantly, however; the product and design offered is far superior...pay the money, you wont be sorry. No communication from the end of March forward until I contacted them during the first week of June to ask about start dates....I was told they were waiting on permits...so I checked on line...its public information...our permits were not put in until May 31st....this delayed the build...the project started around July 17th and was completed on August 2nd. I feel the permits could of gone in much sooner to keep on schedule. There were a couple of hiccups during the build that we caught before they became a major issue...I would highly recommend you be home for the build to insure it is how you envisioned the project. These minor issues were solved easily and without concern, but if they were not caught before/during construction could of been an issue. One of the issues was a change we made after agreeing to a certain build height of the pergola, but while watching it being built realized it was to low...they raised it, no problem. The other was a cosmetic design that was sold to us but was not conveyed to the contractor....this was also caught early and rectified. The last was the underpinning...we thought it was included with the build because the deck was two levels and found out at the end it was not. They gave us a very fair price to add it on and completed it without hassle. They also gave us a price to have the pergola painted once it has time to weather. All of the Owners/team members I had contact with were easy to deal with....Glenn, Mark, Dino and Josue were fantastic. The deck is awesome, constructed extremely well and in the end thats what matters....I would chose them again without question.
