They coated the fish with some kind of seasoning and even with sour cream my mouth is on fire! Wow! I just don't understand why a lot of restaurants mess with their recipes, Black Bear Diner just changed one of my favorite dishes. My motto if it ain't broke, do fix it.

We love this local spot and choose it regularly…read more The barbacoa quesadillas for lunch are incredible. I can really only eat half, so I save the rest for later. Their homemade chips are light and crispy, and their salsa is super flavorful while not overly spicy. It hits that happy medium between my husband and me. Breakfast is also great. You go in and pretty much grab a table unless there's a line with people waiting. Service is always friendly and efficient. Prices are fair. Typical mom and pop type interior with a mixture of booth seating and tables with metal chairs. It's always clean. Branch out and try something new. Highly recommend.

And let's talk about the food: it was easily some of the best, if not THE best Mexican food I've had. I got the enchiladas and got my toddler the quesadillas. My toddler DEVOURED his food and part of mine! But here's the part that really makes Mexicano Grill stand out: the people. My toddler made a mess of one of his toys and when our server came by (as she did many times through our visit-our cups and chips were never empty) she offered to take it to the kitchen to clean it off. Then when we were done with our meal, another employee came by and offered to take his portable tray to the kitchen and washed it off! Exceptional service, delicious food, and the kindest people. We will definitely be back and will be bringing anyone who comes to Waco to visit us!

Best case scenario it's $15 each and that just does not make any sense. But either way, it's way too much. It would be 5 stars if the pricing wasn't through the roof. Recently I…read morewas driving from Austin to Dallas and decided to stop halfway in Waco and check out my old taco spot. Since I went there they have upgraded the setup and now have a good amount of covered seating and a television (used to be a projector). Main thing I recommend is their Agua de melon, I actually hated melon before drinking this and it single handedly made me appreciate melons. It is a generously large cup and so cold, refreshing and sweet. Sometimes I would order 2 because its that good. Tacos were better than I remembered with al pastor tasting well marinated and corn tortillas absorbing a lot of flavor. Not pictured was the chicken quesadilla I ordered which was and always is extremely filling and delicious. I would recommend asking for some extra salsas if you order the quesadillas but for the money such good value. Last thing I will say is the service is incredible, one of the women that used to serve me was there and she is incredibly nice, helpful and just adds to the overall great experience here. Definitely will continue to stop by and get that Agua de melon and tacos on road trips!
