Considering I saw the tostadas being removed from a grocery bag, I'm assuming they weren't made in house. My order came with forks, tostadas, hot sauce, ketchup, and saltine crackers. *Aguachile: the portion was very small and there was barely any flavor. The shrimp had the slightest bit of acidity but I'm shocked by the lack of lemon juice and green Enchilosa sauce. There was a singular slice of avocado on top. Most of the container was composed of red onions and cucumbers. The red onions were dry, hence I refuse to believe that this dish had any proper preparation. *Ceviche Especial: wow was this so dry. The octopus and shrimp were way overcooked. Instead of shrimp ceviche, I received a strange clump of shredded imitation crab. This was similarly topped with a single slice of avocado. There was no aspect of seasoning or citrus in this entire meal. The lack of freshness and flavor was astounding. A positive was that I didn't get food poisoning from this meal. However, I wasn't able to finish either dish because they were both poor examples of Mexican seafood.

The Modelo Negra michelada I ordered was just a total fail. Tasted more Clamato than anything.. I didn't even bother to finish it. The Paloma my gf ordered was a 3/10 as she stated. There was another couple sitting next to us seemingly left after their drinks as well. It was enough for me to just decide to skip this spot.

I've been here a few times since the new opening of Cali Brews Mexican Grill with both my husband…read moreand also with a group of lady friends. We totally love this place. We're always greeted with friendly service. The restaurant is spacious, updated, and modern. The vibe is set with good music and a relaxing atmosphere. The server brings your menus to your table and will come back to take your order when you're ready. ( I mention this because another reviewer said they ordered at the entrance and then sat down, which has never been our experience. This is a full service, sit down restaurant.) Since it was breakfast, the server brought over an extra large warm flour tortilla in a basket along with some butter. Yummy!! We munched on that and sipped on our beverage until our orders came. I had the Huevo Ranchero with a side of chile verde and beans. My friends opted for lunch, and ordered the carne asada with rice and beans, which came with a side of roasted nopales. Everything was delicious! I could tell the carne asada was fresh and tender. It was easily cut with a butter knife. My friends also commented that it was very good. That says a lot because they are picky eaters. There's also a cool bar and nice patio with streaming lights for those wanting to hang out outside or have a drink with friends. Overall it's clean, has nice decor, good service...and most importantly delicious food. It's a win!

Came in today after work since one of my coworker was talking about it mentioning the flour…read moretortillas with butter as an appetizer hadn't been here in a long time since the place was sold and then it was closed down so I guess they have new owners so I'd figure I'd give them a try. The place is really nice. It's clean. It has like same set up but just a little bit different I believe they have different tables, but anyways we were greeted promptly and we were sat down really quick. It was just a table for two. So we sat down. They brought us one flower tortilla with butter and that was gone real quick so we ended up ordering the chicken taquitos or flautas which I really wasn't impressed. They looked really delicious when they brought them out, but the chicken was not shredded. It was like cut into pieces and then fried in the tortilla which I felt was weird. The flavor was bland. They offer a lot of salsa, but none of them had a kick to it like spice, but other than that, you know, they had sour cream, fresco lettuce. You know the presentation was good but the chicken inside was cut into chunks and it wasn't shredded chicken or shredded. You know that's what surprise me. Then we ordered the queso which had a sliced jalapeño and then sliced onions which was delicious. That was probably the best. I was not impressed with the chips I felt like they didn't have enough salt. They were too hard but the chorizo guess so dip was delicious. We couldn't decide on what to eat since they do offer a variety of breakfast lunch and dinner and she said it was all day so we decided on the Molcajete. It came with chicken Carne shrimp and a headlight not a piece of chorizo head like I don't know how to call it. I had chorizo on it, but it wasn't like chunks so I was too impressed because it was just different from what I've had in the past again. The salsa were not spicy, but it was good. It was really good. You know it's just the tortilla chips. I wasn't impressed with the beans that's another issue. Beans are the easiest thing that a person can make and I felt like they were canned Rosarito beans I could be wrong but I love beans what brought me there was the flour tortillas and beans and the tea was good but the beans I feel they could've done something better but other than that, I will be back you know to try it again you know sometimes they get a different cook, but I was it was good but I feel it could've been a lot better being that they're not that busy being that they're new and they just opened I definitely will give them another chance and hopefully it will be different.
