What could have been a disappointing surprise turned into one of the best local dining experiences we've had in a long time. We had the pleasure of meeting Miguel himself, and his hospitality immediately stood out. He took the time to introduce us to several items on the menu and encouraged us to try a little bit of everything. I'm glad he did. The red beans and rice were absolutely phenomenal, and every single thing we tasted was fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with pride. You can tell Miguel genuinely cares about both the food and the people he serves. What impressed me most wasn't just the food--it was the atmosphere. Miguel has a gift for making you feel welcome. His heart for hospitality is second to none, and it's obvious that serving great food and creating a great experience are his top priorities. If you're looking for a hidden gem in Clovis, this is it. Whether you're stopping in to catch a game, grab a meal with friends, or enjoy a simple flip-flop date night with your spouse, Miguel's is worth the visit. We'll definitely be back, and I can't recommend this place enough.

I don't think I've ever felt betrayed by Yelp reviews...until now…read more During a recent road trip we stopped here to picked up some lunch/dinner because tacos are quick and easy and their Yelp rating is high. Location/services: Upon entering the building I immediately noticed the heat. It was a hot 98 degree day and the restaurant felt like an oven and was maybe 3-5 degree cooler than it was outside. I then quickly noticed this was a very simple operation (almost like a food truck), and not much to the menu, but there were folks sitting and eating and a few others waiting to order, so I assumed the food must be great. We ordered 4 meals (tacos with rice/beans) which was meant to be eaten there but after waiting in line and feeling like we were in a hot box, we decided to make it to go. We sat and waited for our food (about 20 mins), we chatted and observed our surroundings and it became very apparent the restaurant was not maintained with basic cleaning because it was very grimy and just plain dirty. I then used the restroom and it was absolutely disgusting. Our ordered was called and the staff was very nice. The food: As I mentioned, we got 4 orders of tacos (all carne asada) with rice/beans, and we asked for salsa and limes. We got grilled jalapenos, lemons and one sandwhich baggy filled with red salsa. Not a big deal. The meat was fine but the tortillas were inedible. They were tough, flavorless, and greasy. The bean and rice were ok. We ate enough to curb our hunger but none of us finish our food. Upon my best judgement, I had convinced myself that the food was gonna be great because their Yelp rating told me so. I was so wrong! One last note, there was nothing here that resembled a bakery/panaderia. So if you think you could also grab a treat here, you are wrong.

A lunch time classic with french fries, carne asada, cheese, sour cream, lettuce, beans, and guac. Normally these burritos are just meat, guac, fries, but I liked the extra additions. This burrito was $15, which is pricey, but this burrito is huge! I split it and ate half for lunch and the other half as a late afternoon snack. The burrito was amazing and I bought an extra tub of their green salsa for the house. Not too spicy and with tons of flavor, perfect for tacos and chips. Stop by and check out their new bar set up. They now have happy hour!

They've definitely updated their truck but there aren't any tables around to sit at. Location is a lot farther than I'd like but it has more space than the previous spot they parked at for sure. My boyfriend has been going to this man for years so he's the one that introduced me to this truck back then. Nice taco man and I believe his wife works it with him and she was very friendly too, taking our orders. Didn't speak to the man this time around though, since he was busy making a bunch of taco orders (long wait). I'm sorry to say but it wasn't as amazing as I remember when I first tried it. Not to say it wasn't good... but it wasn't the best. I got two Asada tacos (decent) and one Chicharron taco (big mistake)-- it was not good at all. I couldn't even finish it. I can't explain the taste but it's not what I expected. I wanted Tripa but they didn't have any (boo). What they've definitely got going for them right now that can't be beat? Their prices! You don't see tacos under $4, let alone $3, much anymore. But-- it is CASH ONLY. Remember that before making the drive. My ranking may be more based off past experiences but I have to keep the current feels into consideration as well. I like them but this last visit left a bad taste in my mouth. I'll have to stick them in the middle for now until I come back and try it again.

I was driving back to the Bay Area and decided to make a quick pit stop in Fresno. I found Two…read moreAmigos Tacos on Yelp and was pleasantly surprised by how busy it was when I arrived. There were several people waiting for their food, which is usually a great sign. Ordering was simple and straightforward. I got two al pastor tacos, one lengua, and one cabeza -- all with everything on them. The service was impressively fast; I had my tacos in about 10 minutes. They gave me hot sauce and lemon on the side, which complemented the tacos really well. Out of the four, the al pastor and lengua were my favorites. The meat was nicely crispy, well-seasoned, and generously loaded into each taco. It's located next to a gas station, so parking is limited and there aren't any tables. It's definitely more of a grab-and-go spot rather than somewhere you sit and hang out. I'm still really glad I made the stop to try this place. If I'm ever passing through Fresno again, I'd definitely come back.

First off, that sounded way too good to pass up! Once lunchtime came around, we made our way over. My buddy ordered the adobada tacos, while I went with the adobada bacon-wrapped burrito. I was seriously impressed. The burrito was packed with flavor, and I enjoyed it so much that I definitely see myself coming back. I also got to try one of my buddy's adobada tacos, and it was pretty good as well. If I had one small critique, it would be the cabbage on the tacos. When I think of tacos, cabbage isn't usually the first thing that comes to mind--I personally prefer some lettuce. But that's just my preference, and it didn't take away from the overall experience. The restaurant itself has a very open, spacious setup with more than enough seating. Every employee we interacted with was kind, friendly, and helpful, which made the visit even better. I'm really enjoying discovering all the great taco spots around Fresno, and this is definitely one I'd recommend stopping by and trying if you're in the area.

However, El Premio Mayor comes in as less expensive, and tastier than Chipotle. The burrito was moist but it held up well inside the tortilla. The asada was okay, and the flavor didn't dominate.
