My husband and I visited last night. I got three asada tacos and a mandarin Jarritos. He got an asada taco and a bacon wrapped hotdog and an horchata. The service was fast and friendly. Easy tap-to-pay. Drinks were cold and food was hot. The tacos had a generous amount of meat, which was flavorful. The fixings were good -- all the usuals, red and green sauces, cilantro, onions (and two kinds of grilled onions too), cabbage, lime, radish, cucumber -- and maybe more that I'm forgetting. The tortillas held up to the generous amount of meat and all the toppings I piled on. I also appreciated how the sauces and fixings all looked very fresh and clean. There's a little hand-held pager thing which buzzes when your food is ready so you don't need to stand right next to the truck listening for them to call you. It's a very cute and festive looking truck -- no outdoor seating. That's about as much "ambiance" as a taco truck can have! Overall it was very good, just what we expected and a good value. Solid and ABOVE average food truck. Staff is super nice and for some reason, gave me a free taco! The toppings are unmatched and with THREE types of onions, I'm in!! Four different salsas, too! Not sure what the hype is. I like that they open late. The tacos were just alright to me. Didn't wow me. I tried to get asada tacos but he told me they ran out, then a lady comes to order asada and she gets it somehow. I thought that was strange... I think I ordered cabeza, Lengua, tripas and don't remember what else. The topping station is self serve. They barely had any more toppings but I think it's cus it was by the end of the night... Food was good. I was the last customer of the night. I got a torta and 6 tacos for me and my wife. Really flavorful. Great customer service. This is the best place to get some tacos. I got myself the lengua and cabeza tacos and they are the best. Everything taste fresh and juicy. I like how they have everything organize and that you can add your own toppings. Crew there is the best and friendly. They really care about their customers and price is very fair. I was feeling like some Mexican food and found this place online so I decided to go ahead and drive 25 minutes from my house to come check them out. Once I got here they have an extensive menu so I decided to go with a burrito and it definitely did not disappoint. Once you go ahead and order your burrito or food. They go ahead and hand it back to you open so this way, you can put your sides such as salsa, cilantro, onions, and radishes you then hand it back and they wrap it up for you. this is my second time trying Avalos kitchen taco truck & needless to say it was devoured I love their food & their horchata highly recommended you guys give them a try they are most definitely a 10/10 my new go to ! I tried their quesadilla con pollo on my first trip there & it was fire I had a supreme burrito de asada no tomato & light beans My boyfriend had a supreme burrito de asada con todo 10/10 customer service I asked for them to cut my burrito in half & they did just that no hesitation it took not even 5 mins to get our food i am very happy & will be coming back very soon to try their tacos . The asada tacos were delicious the meat wasn't dry or tough and the tortillas weren't drowned in grease like most taco trucks. They also weren't stingy with the meat which I appreciate. I recommend adding the white onions (not the caramelized ones) I'm not sure what they are coated in but they're slightly spicy and pair really well with the tacos. The customer service was amazing and the food was quickly served, overall will definitely be going back again. read more

Bomb tacos they give u good portion of meat , You get to garnish your own plate I love that, they also have grilled onions, pickled onions , grilled jalapeño! Hands down one of the best tacos truck in town fr. Their food is BOMB af and made perfectly every time and the workers are exceptionally nice. Music is a bop. Their food selection is amazing. Great portion sizes and I love the way they set their condiments out so you can choose how much you want of everything. We have stopped here a couple times on the way home from Tower District. Great spot on Palm and Shields. We love the Asada Quesadillas and tacos, and the Carnitas Tacos. I've tried the pollo ala plancha (grilled chicken plate) fajitas, sopes and Camerones al mojo de ajo ( garlic shrimp). The best for me was the asada sope. The rest were on the bland side. Beans and rice are okay. I think they just need to do better when seasoning and flavoring their dishes.

This place is FIREI got some Asada tacos for my wife and a Asada burrito for myself and I'm so mad at myself for not coming here sooner cause I live down the street. Photos of the late Adrian Loza appear around the restaurant, and his likeness is part of the logo. Though he has sadly passed away, his presence is still felt throughout the place. The family atmosphere hasn't diminished with his passing. There is warmth here that goes beyond the pictures on the wall, carried on by the people greeting you and getting your food to the table. And the food? Excellent. The tacos and burritos are the sort that make you plan a return visit while you're still eating, although the gordita taco complicates the question of what to order next time. Its thick tortilla brings to mind the Indian fry bread tacos you might find at the fair, with the tortilla itself as much a reason to order it as anything tucked inside.
