One of the best taco stands in North Sacramento, in my opinion! We've been coming here for years when we have a street taco craving. Always fresh and absolutely delicious! I usually get the lengua and Al pastor tacos..sometimes I get cabeza when they have it available. He likes the carne asada tacos. Their salsas are great too!! They also have a taco special that includes a drink during the week. They have a few little tables you can eat at outside. They wrap the plates with tin foil and bag them to go, which does a great job at keeping the food from moving around. I appreciate that!

I came here on a sunny Saturday by my lonesome. Me time. I have been meaning to try this spot for awhile. It is seriously in a rough patch 'hood of Norwood Ave. It stands by itself as a shack. A few plastic tables to dine on. I got 6 tacos. I wanted to sample. Asada, adobada, buche, tripas, cabeza and lengua. I think the buche was the best. They were good at $1.75-$2 per. But they could use larger corn tortillas. They were too small even doubled. The amount of meat in each was just fine. Onions, cilantro and hot sauces was a self serve station. All outdoor dining. I did have an upset stomach that night but unsure if it was due to this place. The condiments were covered but the radishes were browning and I avoided that. A suggestion is to fill the ice under the trays as it was all melted to water from the new heat of a 75 degree Spring day. The tacos were good but Im unsure about returning unless the sanitary methods upgraded.

Their special - 3 al pastor tacos plus drink $6.51

It's a cool spot with plenty of parking. I'm on the hunt for delicious tacos and while the al pastor was a little dry, it was flavorful. The chicken tasted good, too. With prices these days, $6.51 for 3 tacos and a drink is great value. The service was very friendly, the food came out piping hot and quick. I will be back.

Decent tacos but the meat lacks good flavor/seasoning. Overall the tacos were good and at a great price. They are street tacos and small. The meat is diced very small and doesn't have enough flavoring. I liked the grilled onions but these were minimal. Salsa were just hot and did not have much flavor. Overall a good place for cheap tacos.

Best tacos in Sac! Guess they changed their name. Still the same bomb tacos. Steak and tripe is my favorite with their green salsa and horchata!

Been looking for a new local taco spot and this is definitely it. Tried the special with three tacos de al pastor and a drink. Also tried the quesadilla de asada. They are a little small but delicious. The horchata was so good! I'll be back soon

Al Pastor is Beautiful and sooo good!!Wish they had the pineapples but still delish!!

Food was great!! However they were out of pineapples and that's my fav part sooo that's the only reason for the 4 stars!

Three el pastor tacos and a horchata

One of the best el pastor in Sacramento. Can't beat the 6.21 special three tacos and a Horchata. I recommend this place to anyone.

Small quesadilla & taco

Can't believe I almost past this place up ! From ordering to receiving my order was great & efficient. I had ordered a small quesadilla with Carne Asada and a Carne Asada taco as well. Both were so delicious from the quality of the meat, being tender and seasoned just right. also love how they put cheese on the outside layer of the quesadilla it's a five out of five stars for me!

Great Tacos. Great service. Fresh made. Self-serve salsa and topping. Free grilled onions and serrano peppers. No skimping anywhere.

Best tacos Sacramento has to offer. Plus they have a frijole pot. You can't find that anywhere downtown. So good!

At this point it feels like bait and switch -- why put it on the menu if you never have it? The low rating is mainly for the young lady at the register. She was rude, spent the whole time whispering to a guy who works there and laughing while looking at me. Felt disrespected as a customer. Found Beto's down the street instead. Decent food, decent prices, and they actually serve what's on their menu. Won't be back. 2. Short + Punchy No tripas, lengua, or cabeza. Ever. 4 visits in 7 days. Zero times did they have tripas, lengua, or cabeza. Starting to think the menu is false advertising. Register girl was rude too -- whispering + laughing at me with her coworker/BF the whole time. Beto's down the street has better food, better prices, and no attitude. Go there instead. 3. Balanced but Firm Frustrating experience Food here can be okay when they have it, but the inconsistency is a problem. I came 4 times in one week hoping for tripas, lengua, or cabeza and was told they were out every single time. If you don't carry menu items regularly, take them off the menu. Service also needs work. The teen at the register was whispering to another employee and laughing while taking my order. Made me uncomfortable. Beto's down the street doesn't have these issues -- they stock what they advertise and the service is solid.

It is located at the Northgate area in a shopping plaza so lots of parking spots. Very impressive interior decor! It is very welcoming and visually pleasing! I ordered for to-go so was actually tempted to stay and eat-in but had to get back to work. A bit pricey for each taco but the portion of taco is huge and honestly two did the job for me. Give it a try

The burrito was below average in size, had meat covering less than half of it, and contained no sour cream. The portion and overall preparation were nowhere near what I would expect when paying for a carnitas burrito. But the most concerning part was the salsa. It had an extremely strong chemical taste and smell that reminded me of Fabuloso or mop/cleaning solution. It was so unpleasant that I genuinely questioned whether something had gone wrong with the preparation or whether the salsa had somehow come into contact with cleaning chemicals. I cannot say what caused it, but the taste was absolutely disgusting and raised a serious food-safety concern for me. This is why consistency and proper food-handling procedures matter. A restaurant can have a great meal one day and a terrible one the next, but customers shouldn't have to wonder whether something that tastes like cleaning chemicals is safe to eat. I hope management takes this seriously and looks into the preparation, storage, and handling of the salsa and other ingredients. If a product tastes or smells strongly enough like cleaning chemicals that a customer is questioning whether it may be contaminated, that is something that should be investigated--not dismissed. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I cannot recommend this burrito. Poor portion, poor execution, and a salsa that raised legitimate food-safety concerns. Consistency and cleanliness should be non-negotiable in a restaurant.

From the moment we sat down with my young son, Mason made it crystal clear that actually waiting on tables was way below his pay grade. After sitting around for over 30 minutes just waiting for a check while Mason was either nowhere to be found or busy socializing with the rest of the staff, we finally gave up and walked toward the front to just pay upfront. That exact moment Mason floated over to casually ask if we needed anything else. When I said, "Yes, we need the bill--we've been waiting 30 minutes," he helpfully explained that it was my fault for not waving him down to remind him to do his job. I let him know right then and there that he wouldn't be receiving a tip for zero effort. To cap off his stellar professionalism, after getting called out for his non-existent service, he sarcastically called me an "array of sunshine." Tipping is a gratuity, so I'll graciously leave this tip instead: stop getting high on the job and treating patrons as a burden just because you have more than one table to serve. The food was good, but Mason's attempt at waiting tables was a complete joke. Next time, hopefully he can summon the Herculean strength required to hand someone a bill--assuming it doesn't conflict with the high horse he rides around expecting tips for a job he can't even be bothered to do.
