It's a fun, modern take on a restaurant environment, but I still found it just okay. The beers on tap weren't the most interesting; good representation of different styles but not a lot of diversity in breweries. The layout also feels a bit weird, with tables and group activities (ping pong, etc) making for awkward paths and not a lot of intermingling. Finally, I didn't try any food on my visit, but it was funny to see the interior get pretty smoky at times; maybe a new ventilation system is overdue.

My girlfriend had a tostada. We also got the churros that were phenomenal. Just a great place and everything was under $50 total so cheap such a great value. They also do Grubhub, but they do so many ways that you can just get the food there they have outside seating when the weather is nice I would recommend it to anyone.

I was really looking forward to trying, but there were a lot of bad impressions accumulated towards the end of our visit. 1. When we arrived, there were only 2 wait staff, so it took about 5 minutes for them to seat us. We just thought maybe it's just a small run business, so nothing too big of a deal. 2. When we decided what to get, no one checked in with us and even with us trying to get their attention, it took about 10 minutes for us to place our order. Maybe it's just that they don't have enough staff today, but there also weren't that many customers.. 3. The food took 20 minutes to come for our table of 2, so by now we've been in here for over half an hour! Food is again good. The only noticeable thing is the black burnt marks on the birria, which had a sour bitter taste to it. 4. When we paid, we handed the credit card, which they processed on their tablet. As we waited to then select the tips and sign the tablet, they already MANUALLY SELECTED 25% TIPS WITHOUT TELLING US! I totally get it if their service was top notch to the point where they deserve a fourth of our dinner cost, BUT THIS WAS NOT THE CASE!! If we didn't ask for the receipt, we wouldn't even know that they frauded us! If you have enough money for them to select the tips for you, as you gamble on their service quality, then sure give it a try. But I'm not coming back for a business that tries to steal my money via tips!

Finally got to visit the sweet ride candy truck at SoWa a few weekends back! They have the cutest…read moretruck set up with so much candy and they offered various Halloween themed candy bags! They even sold kits to let you make your own Halloween candy themed charcuterie board which was such a cute idea and we loved getting to put together. I spoke with the owner and they visit local events and set up but you can also hire them for parties or gatherings and they bring their truck and set up a mobile candy bar. They were super sweet and the candy was fantastic... hopefully they do some more holiday boards coming up!

However, on a gorgeous Sunday in late September I found myself looking at a hot pink food truck and realized I just HAD to have one! I went for the chocolate chip in a plain shell, and it was delicious. Sweet (but not overly so) and the perfect way to finish summer, Uncle Joey's may have changed my mind about wanting to add cannolis into my dessert rotation!

I had the loaded tots with crawfish and siracha remoulade, and my partner had a bowl with quinoa, avocado, squash, cranberries, and chicken. I've never seen him eat so many vegetables--but he finished that bowl because it was delicious! The tots were crispy and perfect, even with the sauce. Quite an accomplishment with a high degree of difficulty! And there were big chunks of crawfish, which was delicious and just the right texture, a little chewy which really added to the dish. No need to add pictures because they are exactly as pictured on the website. I visited the truck when they were parked at Dirigible brewery. I placed the order online, and was notified when it was ready. Perfect! I look forward to patronizing this truck again!
