The chile verde pork is so good, my wife, who primarily orders vegetarian, goes for all their variations, quesadillas being her favorite. This weekend is Valentine's Day, and while I am not with my beloved, George and Erika shared a sample of their new menu items, chilaquiles (heart shaped for the holiday) - both chili verde and chipotle. The other item was a stack of tres leches pancakes, with fruit. While all were delicious, I liked the chipotle chilaquiles the best. Good enough to make me consider mixing up my wet burrito with salsa macha in the future. So, we just came back from Playa del Carmen Mexico, where we hoped to have some over the top Mexican food. While breakfast was great it wasn't enough to outshine Fire Tacos. A waiter at one restaurant summed it up well. Everyone in Mexico makes good food, but the best of the best succeed in the US. That is Fire Tacos. The best of the best. I rarely give 5 stars, but Fire Tacos e arnés every one!

This restaurant is by the beach and the interior is such a vibe. The food is amazing. Never have we ever got something that was okay, decent or not good. We got some shots and drinks. All of the drinks were really good. I get the quesabirria tacos and it hits every time, you HAVE to get the consomé on the side (im salivating as im writing this). We got the same host and honestly he made our night. So funny and sweet. We also get the churro boat? It comes with caramel, chocolate, and whip cream on the side and it's the only place I have known to sell stuffed churros. STUFFED with chocolate, strawberry jam and caramel. It's the perfect dessert after some tacos to top everything off. I will come back here with the girls again!

The carnitas plate is delicious and definitely a go to when I want something a little more filling. I've been really into getting the carne asada with avocado lately and it's perfect. It's not the biggest burrito you'll find but it's delicious, especially with the green salsa. They have one of the best green salsas you'll find in Seattle. The service is always great and the food comes out really fresh. Ample parking and a quick moving line make this a taco spot that you should frequent, they're good people who take pride in what they do.

While I was waiting someone came up to pick up breakfast burritos they had called in. I love breakfast burritos and thought if someone called them in... well they must be really good. I started talking to the worker and he said they had been there for over 8 years in that location. Today I called the burritos in. The challenge for me has always been timing. I've stopped and they aren't open yet or it's late and they are closing. So today was perfect timing and the first thing on my mind when I thought breakfast. I only waited a minute. Super nice and friendly. Update: they were great. More of a beans vs potatoes as the base. I'd recommend and definitely going to buy them again.

Eatin' chicken! ...which is generally a lame thing to order out, but the rules don't apply to Jemil's. Though I've never been to Louisiana, I'm still a Southerner and would pick BBQ over Cajun any day as I've literally never enjoyed Cajun food. That all changed one fateful Tuesday when I poached some leftovers from a work lunch catered by your boy. All I could think was "WTF! How can chicken be so flavorful?". An thus began what has become an obsessive search for how--HOW?! to recreate this new, disturbing reality. And I haven't even gotten to the salad! What sorcery did Jemil pull for unassuming leaves and usually lame squash to get their act together and become something so tender and fresh I felt like a baby deer eating rose petals on the lawn of the Royal Family as they take their tea and cucumber sandwiches. Let's not forget the jambalaya, which managed to be juicy without a sign of mushiness and was actually spicy enough to excite my tastebuds - they were doing cartwheels. What in heavens? I'm just lost.

They went out of their way to accommodate our needs. We felt super spoiled. We had a wide variety of dishes and every single one was raved about! I personally loved the Cajun Mac n Cheese. They better keep that recipe a secret or something because its that good. I will definitely patronize this business with my family in the future!

The flavors were definitely there -- well-seasoned, good portions, and everything tasted fresh. The pita sandwich was the standout for me. The chicken was juicy and the toppings balanced really well inside the wrap. The plate was good too, but it didn't hit quite the same as the sandwich -- I think it could use a little more sauce or punch to take it to the next level. Could also cut the chicken and meat to smaller sizes

After many attempts I finally get her to try a Pork Quesadilla. She really liked it and I think we may have won her over a little bit. However, when we first arrived the hostess sat us at our booth and handed us two menus and left. I opened my menu and the inside was covered in salsa. I had to get up and find somebody to exchange it. With that taken care of, I ordered the Super Burrito Manadero. I got it with Chile Colorado Beef. To me the beef was a little dry, and it seemed like it was the beef that they may use for the shredded beef, they just didn't shred it. It fell apart in my mouth and tasted good, but was a bit dry. And they were cut in huge meatball size chunks, down to smaller bite sized chunks. I still enjoyed it, but the two previous Mexican restaurants that I got this at, just hit it out of the park with one place using filet mignon steak chunks, and the other using waygu beef. It's hard to compete with that (and they were only $2-3 more). For dessert I bought the fried ice cream. I LOVE Fried Ice Cream! This was pretty good, nice portion size, and they use a raspberry sauce on top of it. I've never seen that before. They didn't use corn flakes (my favorite) but it was nice. Overall, this is still a great place if you live nearby and love Mexican food and don't want to drive to Edmunds or Lynnwood. Definitely give them a shot.
