The pasta was perfect the sauce was delicious and all the peppers onion and shrimp and pasta was an amazing combination. I loved the side pieces of bread it was delicious to dip in the pasta sauce. The service was amazing and their baked goods look amazing and we were looking at the cinnamon rolls and my grandmother noticed they looked smaller than usual but were in a pack of four mini cinnamon rolls. We were just looking when one of the cooks was very kind and noticed we noticed the size and said he's sorry they weren't the usual size they had something going on in the morning and offered to make two for us on the house. They were delicious and he was extremely nice and friendly about it. We were also immediately seated and got our orders taken quick and easy. Food took a good amount of time to come out maybe 15 minutes which is the perfect amount of time.

My wife and I ate at Dairy Dan in Chehalis yesterday. Two meals came to more than fifty dollars…read more That is a substantial bill for a drive-in burger stand, and the service did not justify it. The adult working in the back was dismissive from the outset. One of the burgers we wanted was unavailable. When I asked what it was, a young employee answered that they did not have them anyway not an apology, not an alternative, just a clipped remark that made the shortage sound like our problem. The tray was then dropped and slid across the table. I said thank you. The reply was "Yup." A drive-in puts its staff in front of the public. That is the job. These are young people being given a chance to work and earn money. The interaction we received suggested they have not been taught, or required, to treat customers with ordinary courtesy. One employee spent roughly twenty-five plus minutes in the restroom before appearing on the floor. Sink was dry, I did not see any handwashing before she handled our order. In a food business, that is not a small detail. Remember, you never know whom you are serving. The person at the counter is not just another ticket. Courtesy is not optional because the customer looks ordinary, and accountability does come in reviews, in lost business, and in a reputation a small shop cannot afford to shrug off. This is consistent with what other reviewers have described for some time prices that belong to a sit-down restaurant, difficulty finding a supervisor, and a tone from the counter that treats a complaint as an inconvenience. Dairy Dan's reputation has always rested more on ice cream than on burgers. After yesterday, the service problem is clearer than the food. If the check is going to look like a restaurant check, the staff should be held to restaurant standards, look people in the eye, acknowledge a simple thank-you, and have an adult accountable when something is out of stock or a tray hits the table.

The smoker is onsite and all ingredients sourced from local farm or markets in the area. The owner Frank was very friendly gave some great suggestions even checked on us with drink refills. Such great service so rare anymore. We had the most amazing 3 cheese mac and cheese with Brisket the small was big enough! I'm so glad I up'd my salmon kiesh meal to also include the side of the salmon chowder. It was definitely the best chowder I've ever had, complete with flaked smoked salmon on top of a creamy and hearty salmon w/ potato soup. We were so full after our meal I would not normally order dessert. However, he did recommend that we may want to try his wifes amazing homemade carrot cake with the cream cheese icing (which I prefer over an overly sugary one) I am so glad we ordered a slice to go. I ended up having that for breakfast the next morning with coffee and it was out of this world so moist with crunchy nuts on the cream cheese icing. Yum! The cafe is located in downtown Chehalis, which is a cute town. They are completing updates to their 100yr old building. They have an upstairs loft with video games and a dozen tables connected to an artesian market downstairs, think gourmet foods, mead, craft items, fancy bloody mary mix, and they also sell smoked salmon, smoked cheeses in their cooler. I will definitely be back when heading thru Chehalis. What a find!

The garlic fries were swimming in oil. They looked more like soggy noodles than fries. I have never been turned off by fries until tonight. I'll give them a clue. If your fries come out oil soaked your oil temp is too low. Possibly trying to cook to many fries too fast at a busy venue with a low capacity fryer? upgrade your equipment. This is all good advice but I don't expect them to take it after reading their other reviews. Whenever someone has a complaint about quality they blame the customer instead of taking responsibility. They can make all the excuses they want but those fries were YUK. They went staight into the trash can. 12 bucks down the drain. Save you gut and your cash. Thank goodness I chose the Cuban truck. Their food was awesome and cheaper.

We've had the Samoa, cookies and cream, The Patriot, and Slim Shady but I know the Patriot is my personal favorite while my boyfriend loved the cookies and cream donuts! Also heads up that their donuts are made to order and fresh! Fast forward to our most recent visit, My boyfriend and I were in the area again for a date and trivia in the area so we decided to stop by to grab drinks this time around as we have had their donuts a few times. We arrived some later in the afternoon and we were greeted warmly by a kind employee. She immediately recognized my boyfriend and was patient with me as I was so indecisive as there were so many fantastic options. I love that they offer a donut shake where you pick the flavor of the donut and you get a cute mini donut on top of the shake. I got the maple donut shake as I love maple bars while my boyfriend got their rocket pop drink. Our order didn't long take and were perfectly refreshing and delicious. We hung out in the community room while we waited, they have board games, books, a mini NES, and great older music videos playing. The way they have the place set up reminds of going to a friend's house which I think is such a great vibe to go for! I definitely look forward to coming back and trying more of their menu.
