Even with how packed the place was the service was quick! The food was delicious and the drinks were on point and they have a nice taco deal! I will definitely be coming back to try the corn and some other items that caught my eye.

This is the fourth location in the area. I had Carne Asada Tacos with tortillas, rice and beans. Their going to open one in Schaumburg next year.

I have yet to try the rest of the menu, but these are hands down the best chicken tenders and fries I've ever had anywhere. Comes with a wide variety of tasty sauces. Highly recommended!

    Pappas special

The papas special was just french fries with a little sauce. It was missing everything else, the salsa, guac, etc. Both portions. Also, the quesabirria were flat and had almost no meat, and the consome had a chemical aftertaste almost like bleach. For that much money, it was disgusting...

    Here's our receipt.

We were so excited to try the carne asada burrito here in Taqueria Invicto. So we ordered online one Tijuana Burrito Carne Asada Plate/Dinner and one Tijuana Burrito Carne Asada. And what we got was far from the description on their menu. There were few pieces of meat and all rice and beans. Few pieces of onion and cilantro. No guacamole and no salsa which supposedly included according to their online menu. Pictures included for proof. We don't want to leave a bad review but this was such an epic fail!

This place blew me right away! Saw it had the hot Cheeto burrito and had to try it. Not only was that good the beans and rice had MASSIVE flavor. Washed everything down with a chocolate cinnamon churro shake so mouth watering good. If I ever come to Des Plaines again I'll be stopping here first. thanks for the great food guys!

Situated in the far corner of a shopping complex, La Autentica Donita is pretty unassuming. Lined with colorful flags, plants, and string lights, the restaurant has a cute but vibrant atmosphere. Upon entering the party starts, with music blaring and drinks flowing, you know you're about to have a great experience when you see the happy faces of other guests. The drinks looked amazing, but we came here for the food. Recommended by staff was the ceviche & molcajetes -- they weren't kidding when they said those were good. We were so full when eating but kept going back for more as the flavor was addicting. The ceviche, made with tilapia, came out shaped like a fish -- an extremely cute way of plating that caught our attention inmediately. The flavor was amazing, not too fishy, perfectly paired with citrus, and minced small enough that we weren't left chewing our seafood for long. This paired perfectly with the accompanied chips, or if you're me, just eat it by the spoonful because it was that good and refreshing. The molcajete was....insane. You can't go wrong with flame grilled meat piled high in a stone bowl, but each piece had it's own flavor and was so delicious. Though served with homemade tortillas to make your own wrap, I couldn't stop myself from just grabbing the meat on its own. This was the first time I tried cactus as well, and to my surprise it had just as much flavor as the meat. The salsa that is poured on top of all the meat pools at the bottom of the molcajete after your meal, making for a great treat at the end with some rice. Speaking of rice, their rice is perfectly fluffy and has great flavor as well. I'm typically not a fan of beans but I couldn't stop eating the ones that accompanied our meal...how did they season everything so perfectly? I also ordered the enchiladas oaxaqueñas (mole), but ultimately was served the verdes. This wasn't a big deal for me and I didn't even bring this up since I devoured my plate anyway, but after reading a few reviews have found out that they often are out of the mole sauce and possibly just served me the green sauce for that reason. Something to be aware of in case you were set on trying their mole! All in all, this restaurant packs flavor, quality, and great service. Staff was always attentive and I wish I lived closer to try more items.

The food was absolutely to die for--so full of flavor and just delicious. And the atmosphere? Wow…read more The décor and overall vibe were so beautiful and really added to the experience. The service was great too, which made everything even better. Honestly, this spot was one of the highlights of my Chicago trip and made it feel complete!
