Such a little authentic gem of a Mexican restaurant in San Antonio. The servers and staff are so sweet and nice. I was craving genuine "taquitos" and found the most amazing and fresh "flautas" here. It's #18 on the menu. The menu is large with lots of different plates you can order. I ordered the flautas with tricolor sauce. So fresh and delicious! The rice was great too, with refried beans and a fresh salad with tomato slices. The flautas were fried crisp but not greasy at all, with delicious shredded chicken inside. It's a simple restaurant with sparkling clean tables and 2 rooms, and the ambiance is authentic and cute. Free parking in front. Consistently great food and open late with a drive through! It's a staple in the neighborhood that should not be missed.

We drove down to San Antonio for lunch here. Glad we did it. The food and service were excellent. Beans and rice are different from some others in a good way and we loved them. Very tasty. They reopened the place this May after the fire and it is clean and nice inside. Many tables to choose from and many food to choose from as well. I have been to three datapoints in San Antonio and this is by far the best. Datapoint at De Zavala is overpriced and the portions are small served. Do not recommend location at De Zavala. The Datapoint franchise is pretty damn good. Any site I have visited, I have not been disappointed with their food. My go to dishes are the asada nachos and the asada enchiladas! I recommend those 2 dishes to everyone I bring. The mini tacos are pretty good as well. Today, this site gets 3 stars because of the service. I put in my order and it took 40 minutes. After about 20 minutes and 2 new customers coming in, I realized they were taking long. My waitress never came back. I had to flag down another waitress to ask what was going on. They said they would check. The 2 customers that came in after me received their meals and I still hadn't gotten an update. Finally another waitress comes and started making an excuse about my ticket. I was about to pay for my drink and leave when I was told it was coming out... This place is absolutely incredible. I took a day trip from Austin to San Antonio last weekend just to pick up three orders of the barbacoa and tripas taco plates. The meat is the best and prices are unbeatable. Each plate comes with grilled onions, raw onions, cilantro, a wedge of avocado, and a wedge of lime. Each taco comes with two warm, homemade corn tortillas and a generous scoop of meat. It's satisfying for even the hungriest person and it'll leave you wanting more! Most of the diners here are locals, so you know it's good. Overall, this is a hole in the wall that I am willing to drive 4 hours to eat. Skip the fancy, overpriced restaurants at Pearl District and come here when you next visit San Antonio. So this is the restaurant that my best friend and I go to because it's open late he gets out late and I get out of school late so when we're hungry and we have time to get together to catch up, this is the restaurant that we go to I always get the pork Carnitas They are so good they are so juicy they're not dry they have so much flavor to them. They come with rice and beans and the flour tortillas are so good. Also the chips and salsa that they bring to the table. The salsa is really good I don't so much prefer the ones that they bring with the meal so I always asked for extra salsa that comes with the chips so I can put that on top of my plate. I asked for a chorizo and bean with a scrambled egg. They made me speak to 3 different people clarifying what I wanted and gave me attitude about my order... and I still didn't get what I wanted. This place is dirty. It's gone down hill. I'm done. Tacos contain few ingredients. Machacado taco was all egg and a pinch of pico. They've done twice now. I get tacos with ingredients from other tacos. Been and cheese with pieces of lettuce in there? What's that? Potato and egg with bits of onion? They're working dirty in the kitchen. The current health score is an 86, and that's generous. I stopped eating in the restaurant cause table service is bad. The workers speak so fast and slangy that I can't understand what they're saying. They usually have loud music playing. They water down their coffee. Where do I start, Food is very delicious. Always greeted with a smile when I come. Ambiance is a bit old school but those are always the best places for food. Chips and Salsa are superb, Barbacoa is All meat, Tripas are to die for, Carne Asada is on point, Carne Guisada is great, I love there rice especially with the added veggies, Beans are great and have chorizo in them. Tortillas are always hot and fresh. Lemonade is good, Jamaica is delicious. I have yet to have a bad experience when I come here and I've been a customer off and on for over 10 years now. I have tried datapoint on medical and this was a bad experience at this location on gramercy. When I walked in with my family they told me I could pick a table. Then as I walked by the booths they were full of dirty dishes like they hadn't gotten cleaned. Then we sat at a table and waited for about 5 min. After waiting my spouse had to ask for menus once we got them the waiter took the order for the people who sat after us. I grabbed my things and told my family let's go. When I walked past the young male waiter he said "oh I'm sorry" after we clearly had asked for menus and knew we were there first. I ordered the crispy taco plate no flavor really have to pour salsa all over just to give it some zest . The menudo was also very plain , the meat was cooked well but there was no hominy apparently you can ask for it ? But I think the waitress should have asked me because how was I supposed to know your menudo doesn't have hominy one of the basic ingredients ? The food had no flavor. The menudo had no harmony, color was off, and again NO flavor. The service was slow asked for extra salsa got one.

Very good tacos, superb service. We are blessed to be in this Fredericksburg neighborhood with places like this.
