a menu for a mexican restaurant
Nathanael I.

I was in the area and when I looked up Taqueria, this spot came up. I didn't give five stars because they didn't have all the tacos that I wanted, pretty sure they ran out. The Lengua, Carne Asada and Pollo tacos were amazing. I'm definitely gonna come back and I highly recommend. As I was leaving, I saw four cars pull up for tacos so that's a great sign.

From the tacos, poke bowl to the fajitas, you just can't go wrong. And the Palomas are amazing. It's not cheap, but the quality is outstanding. Edit: the staff are amazing. Leilani, Faviola, Denise. Ask for them!

The margaritas have some really nice flavors to them and my favorite one to get is the prickly pear which has prickly pear puree, lime juice and el tesoro banco in it. It is on the sweet side but has a nice kick from the tequila! I like that they aren't skimpy with the amount they put in from the ones that I have had! I recently went for brunch and can say their sangria is also refreshing and you get a nice glass filled to the top! I had the cast iron skillet pancake and the flavor was amazing and the portion was huge! Their tacos are good but I will only get them during happy hour prices because they are a bit on the smaller side for the price, in my opinion. The service has always been stellar when I am here and I like that there is a nice amount of seating scattered around the place. I also like that there is an option to sit inside out outside in their patio area or at the bar in high top seats. Prices are pretty decent and their drinks and food are delicious. Being within walking distance is a blessing and a curse on Fridays for happy hour lol!

We were in the area and found Chilacos Tacos, located just 5 minutes away from Sawgrass Mills mall…read more There are many different menu options to choose from including appetizers, tacos, burritos, quesadillas and even a taco bowl. We ordered steak tacos (listed as one of the favorites), quesabirria, spicy margarita and the limonada de mango biche. The drinks were good but the food was okay. The quesabirria was better than the tacos, but the birria sauce just looked and tasted like oily water. The steak tacos are a favorite, but was unfortunately not mine. The steak was chewy and you weren't able to taste the truffle chimichurri. The tacos were also filled with oil. We gave it the benefit of the doubt and thought it may be some sort of sauce but confirmed that it was indeed oil when it started dripping out of the taco. We placed paper napkins on the tray and it absorbed the oil but there was still a lot in the tacos. I didn't notice it at first when I took the picture, but you are able to see the oil in the tacos and the tray...there was a lot! This was our first time at Chilacos and while it may have been a one-off experience, there are other taco places to visit.

It was perfect and they were willing to do whatever needed to be done to keep the us happy. The birria was incredible I just got Chicharron my brain is still processing how good it was. Maybe a little salty, but even though they were super yummy sauces on the table I didn't need to use any of them but I got sidetracked by her need for a key. The ambience was comfortable, casual, well lit and simple. Camilo took great care of us and answered all of our questions. We left completely stuffed and very happy. If I had to Nick pick, I would say that the lack of liquor license deter us from drinking like we wanted to and I wish I didn't have to ask if the margarita was wine based because we almost ordered it and I'm glad we didn't now that I know. Otherwise, we were extremely happy and I will be back often

The ambiance was infectious with colorful X-Men in cartoon playful theme eating tacos…read more The asada street taco for $3.50 contained fresh chunks of steak with crispy slices of cucumber, lettuce and raw onion wedged between two layers of soft tortilla. Half the size of my hand, therefore, simple to engulf in three bites. The drizzled chipotle (I think it was) hot sauce added a nice spicy kick to each bite. Two cups of fresh salsa were offered at $2.00. The outside covered patio had seating and was nice today with a cool breeze. The Mexican eatery faces Pine Island Road in the Jacaranda Square Plaza. The gender assigned bathroom was ultra basic and sadly the cartoon ambiance from the dining room did not flow into here. Simple lack of details that were overlooked and could have been an interesting visual conversation piece as was the rest of the restaurant.

They do serve drinks in plastic cups, which I didn't love, but the food is so good it honestly didn't matter. Only tiny note: no chips and salsa, but the tacos and rice made up for everything. Even the beans which came out a little cold were great once I mixed them in. If you're craving real Mexican food in Florida, this place is a gem. I'll 100% be back. That's how you know it's good bcuz even with cold frijoles they still get 5 stars

Purchased a steak burrito that they press on the grill to slightly warm the tortilla. Priced about $16.50 which was a bit high I thought, but then this behemoth burrito was presented and then was ok with the price. Very pleased with the super dense burrito with lots of flavor. Loved the Taco Love logo char seal on the burrito which was a little touch that goes a long way. The wooden seat swings were a cool thinking out of the box idea just very uncomfortable. You order at a kiosk or if you are technologically challenged, one of the staff will come around and help you place your order. You can select from Tacos, Burritos, Bowls or Quesadillas. The Tacos come in an order of 3, either all the same or the 3 Taco Combo which allows you to order 3 different types of tacos. We did the Taco Combo and selected the Birria which comes with pickled onions and also ordered 2 Ground Beef. The Birria with the pickled onions was delicious! My husband kept saying how good the Ground Beef Tacos were and scarfed them down. We also ordered a side of Chips & Pico. The Chips didn't have any salt but were still good. You have to pay for sides like sour cream so depending on what you've selected, it can get a little pricey.

I paid $25 before tip for the "unlimited tacos" option (base price + chips + drink). After finishing my first plate, I went back up for another serving. The employee stops me and says I have to pay another $16 because he "saw on the cameras" that my girlfriend ate a couple scraps off my plate with chips. They're literally watching security cameras to stop people from sharing a bite of food. At a taco bar. That level of pettiness says everything about how this place is run. For the record -- I ate one plate and was satisfied. I wasn't trying to take advantage of anything. They still tried to charge me $32+ for what they call "unlimited" tacos. On top of that, the guy was preparing food while holding a dirty house phone, touching it, then going straight back to making food with no gloves or hand washing. Completely unsanitary. Even another customer nearby told me to "chill" because the situation was so absurd. A paying customer gets lectured and accused on camera over a couple of leftover pieces of taco meat on chips? Ridiculous. I won't be back, and I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone who expects basic customer service, professionalism, or food safety. There are far better taco spots in Broward that don't treat customers like they're trying to steal from them.
