A must have!! 12 pesos each. Favourites ended up being the suadero tacos!!! Pick your things yourself, I think the red salsa was the one that was mucho picante. Cucumbers helped us cool down. It doesn't get more authentic than this?

It's TikTok famous…read moreright now so if you go right around dinner time into the late night hours, there is going to be a huge line. We visited around 3:30/4 pm on Friday so we missed the dinner rush. Our wait in line to order was about 10 minutes. You order first at the register and then seat yourself They have seating downstairs and upstairs. I recommend dining upstairs because they have some windows along the wall and it's a nice view of the neighborhood. For drinks we had the agua de jamaica con guayba and a topo chico. I've never heard of mixing agua de jamaica con guayaba but it works well. It's not too sweet, and they somehow balance each other out. It is served in a chilled steel cup, so it's quite refreshing. The drinks came out within minutes of us being seated. For tacos, I would skip the carne asada; it wasn't bad but it's not the best I've had. The stars of the show were the ornico taco and the taco de trompo. Their ornico taco comes with chicharon, ornico salsa (very spicy), and pickled onions. The tacos de trompo had fresh pineapple in them and they were just wow. Please try them. They do have non-meat options like quesadillas and a taco de aguacate. You can order any of the tacos with tortilla de maiz o harina (corn or flour). We also had the half order of papas which are nice and crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. They serve everything with 5 different salsa options. I loved all of them except for the yogurt-based one. It looks white and creamy but it wasn't for me. The food took about 20 minutes to come out but at least we were seated. Like I said, it's a crowded spot but I think it's worth the wait. ¡Provecho!

We got the three types of tacos they recommended at the counter Quick service, decent prices, but you can definitely find something better if you're going for straight taste.

The patio was very inviting, so even though it was a bit chilly we sat outside. Our waiter was great, he was also busy, but we got our orders in and received in a reasonable amount of time. The cocktails were off the charts. Honestly can't remember what they were, we got two with Mayan honey and spices, and they were phenomenal. So fruity and spicy and served in an aesthetically pleasing way. One was the cocktail of the month, Aperol and mezcal, why not? Tasted like a, "fruity fireplace," according to our friend to which we wholeheartedly agreed. They gave us each an elote amuse bouche which was a tasty surprise and got us ready for more tastiness. Had a variety of tacos that we all enjoyed immensely. Cauliflower-both types were equally good. Birria queso was incredibly rich and just saturated with flavor-in the best way possible. Had esquites with blue corn and ham croquettes that we thoroughly enjoyed, especially the side salsas. Definitely had to do some negotiating when divvying them up since all of use could have eaten more. This place is not inexpensive, you will drop some money here, especially since you'll want to keep trying cocktails and tacos, but it's worth it. Name on the door was Maiz y Tinto, so that confused me for a bit.

Probably the best eating experience on this trip so far, randomly got recommended it. Tried to walk…read morein the first night and they told us we wouldn't make it before close (no reservations, just have to walk up and put your name down). We came back the next day around 2, were seated around 3. The tables are communal, we met some really interesting people, a student, someone getting there Phd in AI, a movie director, a pop singer, and a photographer solo traveling. The drinks were all good. The nectar and whatever the bright pink drink was were very good. Mead was also good but not as much. Definitely would get the spiced coffee (came with our dessert so not sure if you can order it), I've never had anything like it but it was fantastic. There is no menu, just plates brought out every 10-15 minutes and you tell them when you are done with an option for dessert at the end. They alternate between veggie and meat. So now what we had. All ingredients seam local to Mexico and seasonal. In order of what we got; marinated squash taco, barbecued rabbit on a thicker bread, marinated salad taco, barrio taco, mole taco with pear and peanuts, pan de muerto with coffee for dessert. Only takes cash, will let you go to an atm, prepair to pay at least 1000 per person. Lovely staff that will explain each dish. Over all very unique and fun dining experience. Would totally go back. Also was our one meal of the day, think you could do 3 complete dishes total if it was a normal dinner.

The concept sounds great. The wait list sounds organized. But no. We were told to put our name in WhatApps for a 40 minute wait. We rushed back in time and still waited another 30 minutes for a communal style table. Then, food came out in rounds, but the rounds were for all tables at the same time, so there was a 20-30 minute wait between each dish, about the size of a palm of the hand. There were no utensils, so we ate everything by hand. While waiting for the food, a street vendor came by to sell carpets. We were extremely tired at this point and decided to leave after 2 underwhelming dishes and 1 dessert. The total time was over 1 hour to wait for a table and over 1 hour for only 3 unfulfilling dishes. I do not trust the Michelin system and this place is a proof of it. Food was good, but by no means excellent or out of this world. Had they brought out the food after 10 minutes, it would have been more acceptable. It wasn't worth the hype in my opinion due to the extreme wait and hold between each dish. I and family also felt extremely gassy soon after, and mind you, this was our first lunch in CDMX. There were only 4 communal tables, about 30 seats. No restroom! Cash only or local transfer.
