I've always been a fan of Jo Jo's pizza, in both Toledo and Sylvania. This location, in…read moreWhitehouse, features a similarly great "tangy but not too sweet" sauce, soft thin crust, and very flavorful cheese blend. The toppings, for me, pepperoni and jalapeno, are fine too. Jo Jo's in Whitehouse is unique in that it features an all-you-can-eat buffet several days per week. The buffet includes pizza, subs, cheesy bread, and several dessert pizzas. What this Jo Jo's DOESN'T have is the other Jo Jos' awesome antipasto salad with homemade Italian dressing (some of the best Italian dressing I've had anywhere). What this Jo Jo's DOES have, however, is an outstanding chef salad. I usually skip the turkey and croutons, and request double bacon. Okay, the bacon is amazing. I'm serious, it's actually amazing! It's cooked fresh and crumbled for each salad. I get the salad with Greek dressing, as the Italian, at this Jo Jo's, is not the same recipe used on Monroe Street or at Mayberry. Now, I'm a pizza addict, but I'm also trying to stay in shape as I get older. You might be able to argue with me about the healthiness of bacon, but this salad is amazing and has almost no empty carbs. Eating it is as satisfying (almost) as eating a pizza. Service is great. Most of the people working here are high school and college aged kids, but they're not a bunch of Gen Z slackers. They hustle, and your food gets out to you quickly. FINALLY, Jo Jo's in Waterville has a TMNT pinball machine (Data East, 1991) that costs a quarter and is in very good shape. Also, you'll find a 60-in-1 Multigame rig. Beat me in Dig Dug? Dream on. FIVE STARS!

The atmosphere was dainty, casual, and intimate all at once. It gave me cozy date-night vibes without feeling too dressed up. The concept reminded me of a more laid-back version of a trendy local pizza spot, but with its own charm. Let's talk about the crust because WOW. Their hand-tossed pizza had that pillowy soft texture that just melts in your mouth--the kind that makes you pause mid-bite like, "okay wait... this is GOOD." Truly a whole sensory experience. We ordered the classic cheesy bread (which was deliciously gooey and perfectly golden) and the Hawaiian pizza with a BBQ base--such a fun twist! Sweet, smoky, savory... it just worked. Also, I had a humbling moment when I realized not all cheesy breads automatically come with marinara sauce rookie mistake, apparently. The customer service was warm and welcoming from start to finish. Nothing over-the-top, just genuinely pleasant and attentive--which honestly makes such a difference. Overall, such a cute, cozy spot with great food and even better vibes. Definitely earned a spot on my favorites list, now, too.

We arrived early enough on a Saturday to beat the crowd and were seated promptly by our waitress Skyler. She was extremely attentive to our needs and saw that we had brought a cake with us. She offered to keep it in the restaurant cooler until after our dinner. Our drink orders were placed promptly and our waitress brought us chips and salsa. The drinks came out quick and my son really enjoyed his peach margarita and later a Pina colada . My draft beer was cold and came with a lime, just how I like it. We ordered the queso cheese dip and ended up ordering a second one as we liked it that much. My wife ordered a Cajun chicken chimichanga mini sized and my son and I ordered the Mikes southwestern bbq fajita chimichanga. All of our food came out fast, hot and fresh. The portions were large and we all enjoyed our dinners. After eating, our waitress brought out our cake along with a lighter for our candle. She and some of the other waitresses placed a sombrero on my son's head, gave him a fried Ice cream and sang happy birthday to him. He had a great birthday dinner. Kudos to Skyler our waitress. She was amazing! Ask to be seated in her area when you come here, you won't be disappointed.
