The atmosphere was dainty, casual, and intimate all at once. It gave me cozy date-night vibes without feeling too dressed up. The concept reminded me of a more laid-back version of a trendy local pizza spot, but with its own charm. Let's talk about the crust because WOW. Their hand-tossed pizza had that pillowy soft texture that just melts in your mouth--the kind that makes you pause mid-bite like, "okay wait... this is GOOD." Truly a whole sensory experience. We ordered the classic cheesy bread (which was deliciously gooey and perfectly golden) and the Hawaiian pizza with a BBQ base--such a fun twist! Sweet, smoky, savory... it just worked. Also, I had a humbling moment when I realized not all cheesy breads automatically come with marinara sauce rookie mistake, apparently. This place must have the market cornered for local pizza choices because it was terrible top to bottom. They made our to go pizza order wrong. Lovely thing to find when you get home. They didn't bother greeting me when I came to pickup the pizza. Just stood there until someone finally figured out they needed to help me after 5 mins. The pizza is mostly flavorless. The flavor that exists is complete trash. The sauce tastes like it has some terrible spice in it. Burnt garlic maybe? I've had this pizza joint twice now. Was not good either time. Went here Monday night with the family. Amazing staff who was super friendly. Your typical modern Pinterest inspired decor. Chairs horribly uncomfortable. The cheesy bread was the star of the show. It's easy to forget you're in Whitehouse Ohio as you glance around the interior of Crust Pizzeria. The Pinterest vibes are in full effect, and the pizza choices are interesting enough that you'll *almost* feel like you're in a big city. And while the details certainly feel well thought out, if not a little too obsessed over, there is a big miss when it comes to service and flavor. Yes, the Nashville hot pizza is on the spicy side, but even with the pickles, the flavor is suspiciously one note. Same for the 6 cheese pizza, which of course tasted of cheese, but nothing else came through. And even the "whipped" feta dip, which is topped with honey and an aggressive shake of chili flakes, on paper sounded interesting, but actually ended up being pretty bland. The dip is oddly served ice cold, keeping any flavor from coming through. The pizza's crust is unique and almost bread-like.. but it would greatly benefit from either a crust topper seasoning or even a garlic dipping sauce. Something... anything, to provide a little contrast and vibrancy to what otherwise was just boring. And speaking of boring, other than throwing menus our way, and dropping off our drinks, our waitress provided us zero interaction. No checking in to see if the food was good, or if we needed anything. Very unwelcoming. Kudos for the effort and vision of opening a hipster pizza spot in the middle of nowhere, but it could use some tweaking to the menu to really make it worthy of a second visit. read more

I actually thought the food was good, but the layout of the restaurant was awkward. You had to walk through the kitchen to get to a side hallway to get to the bathroom. Very weird if you're gonna sit and grab a few beers with pizza. Down right inconvenient when you have small children. I noticed the space next to the restaurant looked under construction -- I hope they're expanding to have better restroom access. read more

First time visit! We tried the feta dip and garden salad to share, more than enough for the 3 of us and delicious! I ordered a cauliflower crust pizza with pepperoni and mushrooms. I'm on a cauliflower crust kick and this one did not disappoint! It was crispy and tasted just like a normal crust! The pepperoni was perfect amount of spice and not greasy. I was hoping to save the rest for lunch tomorrow but my husband devoured the rest when I got home! When my friend heard that the bartender makes homemade cheesecake for dessert, we just had to save room for it! We tried carrot cake and banana flavored and both were baked perfectly and so good! Service was great and she was prompt and offered suggestions on what is popular. It's a cute place, small dining room but not too loud and it smells amazing when you walk in. There is street parking and the you need to walk through the kitchen to get to the restroom. I can't wait to return to try the regular crust pizza! read more

This a new Pizzeria in my hometown. Stopped in on opening night and it was busy as expected. The food did not disappoint at all! The pizza's are amazing. We got the Green Machine, Nashville Hot, and Marcy's Margarita. Best pie I've ever had. I normally don't eat the crust (just my thing and don't care for it) and I ate the crust on this pizza. Nice and fluffy and not hard burnt end crust. We also got what they call the Kenna Cakes and OMG! It like a cup cake pizza to die for! Our server was Libby and she did an amazing job! Very polite and was on top of everything we needed or asked for with a positive attitude. We will be returning here for sure! read more

We had supreme, CBR and Spicy California pizzas, feta dip and Caesar salad and everything was absolutely phenomenal. Oh my, where to even begin. Let's start at the beginning. When we arrived, there was one other table occupied in the whole place. We got our drinks and then the staff literally ignored us. We waited, and waited, and waited and finally someone in our party asked if we could order. It must have been 15 minutes. The reply was, "yea, ok". So she took our order and then we waited, and waited, and waited. No joke. 6 tables were filled while we waited for our food and all 6 of those tables ate, and 4 left!!! Not only did they get their food before us-ALL 4 TABLES, they finished and paid the bills before us!! Before we even got our food!! And to top it off, they didn't have any cauliflower crust left or pita chips to go with our dip. If it had been just me and my husband, we would have walked out after waiting 30 or more minutes. I'm giving 1 star for the cheesy bread. I don't even think the owners look at Yelp but I'm leaving a review anyway. read more

We waited & a couple came in after us & was waited on. Still no one even acknowledged we were there. They just kept walking past us. Over 10 minutes go by & still no one is waiting on us. We have been wanting to try this place and finally we went. So glad we did, the pizzas are amazing, so many different and unusual combinations! We shared the Southern Charm, an Italian salad and apple cheesecake. The salad was big, so glad we share and brought home some cheesecake. It was busy at 5:30pm, small place but worth the try. Can only comment on the carryout since we brought two large pizzas home and they were the best pizzas I've ever had in Ohio hands-down. I'm obsessed with going back. I know there are so many good reviews but wow that was not my experience. Firstly, we walked in after having been once before a LONG TIME ago (now I remember why), and there is no indication to seat yourself. People lined up at the counter, so I sat. One of the couples waiting was also trying to find out what to do. And sat down after us. They ended up eating and leaving before we got our food despite ordering before them. (Foreshadowing). The waitress who seemed behind and overwhelmed brought my husbands salad which he enjoyed. Meanwhile all the patrons except us got their pizzas. A party of EIGHT that came well after us got pizzas and mini cup ones. I tried to ask "are we CLOSE?!" And the waitress wouldn't look at me but said it was coming out of the oven. She brought a nice warm pizza but not what we ordered. She looked like she was going to cry when we told her it was wrong. She came back with a different wrong pizza. We ordered cup pepperoni and were brought regular. I could live with this but the pizza was barely warm. I guess she stole it from a to go order. I won't go back. Ridiculous. read more

I've eaten here twice in the last week. Both times were phenomenal in both food and service. I am a pizza crust snob and I had high expectations of a place calling themselves "Crust".....and they do not disappoint. The crust is a perfect balance of chewy, ever so slightly crisp, and on the thin side without being a cracker. Absolutely perfect. On my first visit I sat in a bar seat and had a beer and ordered a pizza to-go. Double pepperoni with mushrooms. I expected canned shrooms and was amazed to find fresh, whole, buttons. The 10" pie gives 9 nice sized pieces. On my second visit, I took my family. We ordered an assortment of pizzas and all were amazing. And the large......is large! The toppings are generous without being so heavy they affect the bake. Indoor seating is plentiful even for a smallish, historic building, and outdoor seating with unique, wall-mounted umbrellas is available. The staff is attentive and friendly. I really cannot recommend this place highly enough. read more

Food is great when we have been before, but service is terrible. Four different servers watched us walk in, stand at the door waiting to see if it was sweet yourself, or if we would be seated. We took it upon ourselves to sit since no one came up. Multiple servers walked past us and stood behind the counter or cleaned other tables instead of coming to greet us after we sat ourselves. We eventually walked out after 10 minutes of no one acknowledging the fact that we walked in the door all while they looked at they were at ~20% capacity. read more

Wife called me from work and said she was gonna order pizza for dinner. She said she wanted to try Crust since we live close and we haven't had it yet. She ordered for her and the kids and got a Carnivore specialty pizza for me. I like meat on my pizza. I got home late at night and as usual everyone else was in bed and my dinner was in the fridge. I had high hopes...my husband had wanted to try since he read a review. We walked in and were not greeted so we just sat ourselves. I always ask for recommendations of the drink specials but the waitress had no clue as to what was in the specials. We started with the Bruschetta, which is one of our favorites. The bread was nicely toasted and toppings were great with an arugula garnish and balsamic glaze which was very tasty...the only bright spot of the evening. We ordered the "Roni" pizza, which featured a marinara sauce and 2 types of peperoni. When it arrived there was only cupped pepperoni and as mentioned in other reviews, the crust was very bland and should have been brushed with garlic butter or olive oil or something. The restaurant is so welcoming and charming, right down to the littlest detail. The wait staff was so attenitive and all with a great smiles. But the best part was the FOOD. It was DELICIOUS.
