If you have a tankless water heater do not go anywhere else. Not many companies know their stuff on tankless. Phil does. And he gets to the root of the problem - no upselling or trying to tell you you have bigger problems than you actually do. My Noritz suddenly wasn't generating hot water. I had two companies out before I called Tankless. They were awful. One tried to "fix" the problem with a flush (to be fair it needed a flush, but I knew that wasn't the problem) - for twice the price I normally pay for a flush. The 2nd company tried a couple of quick fixes and then told me they wouldn't go any further because attempts can go on forever with tankless. I should just buy a new one - which they'd sell me for $5,600! I then called Noritz for a recommendation and they recommended Tankless. To save time (and me money) Phil asked me questions over the phone and had me do a few things to narrow the problem. When he came over he tried a couple more things and was pretty sure it was the ignitor. He replaced it and the problem was solved. All in about 20 minutes. Then he did a flush, some other maintenance and gave me some pointers on how to reduce the chance of future problems. All for a very reasonable price. I couldn't be happier. read more

I recently called Phillip on a Saturday because my water heater suddenly stopped working. I ran through the Noritiz troubleshooting guide for my unit but found no easy solution. I left a message with Phillip's service and received a call back about 10 minutes later. Phillip walked me through all the possibilities and helped me do a complete system check. After everything checked out OK he suggested that my gas supply could be cut off. I had already checked the gas in the rest of the house and was doubtful but he insisted I try again. Sure enough the gas was now diminished. He ran more possibilities by me and we found that my earthquake valve had tripped. A quick rest and I was back in business. Phillip spent at least 30minutes on the phone with me on a late Saturday afternoon to get my system working again. I would definitely use him for any Noritz repair in the future. read more

My temperamental Baxi Luna was malfunctioning for a few weeks before it finally decided to stop working. I requested for a service appointment on Tankless Solutions by Phil's Plumbing's website and Philip was quick to check in and arranged for a time to come over. When he was held up at another job, he was very good at letting me know ASAP so my time was not wasted. We rescheduled and Philip and Robert were on time to our newly agreed upon appointment. This guy is GREAT. Fast, honest, and saved us having to buy a new unit. HE HAD THE VALVE ON HAND IN HIS TRUCK. I had already had another company come out that morning and they charged $120 to tell me what I already knew (I did youtube research the night before and told them ahead of time the valve probably needed replacement.) They said it would take 5 days (5 DAYS?? NO SHOWERS? EVER HEARD OF FEDEX??) to get the part. But for $2600 they could install a new unit a day later. HAH! Then I called Phil. I watched him do the repair and he knows the damned machines inside out. He came over within 90 minutes and got the hot water back on, for a fraction of the cost. Amazing. We had family in from out of town and our tankless went out on a Saturday. Phil was the only tankless repair listed on the internet that we could get ahold of or that called us back. He tried to diagnose the problem and help me fix it over the phone Once we figured out the problem, a bad ingniter, he said he could bring the part out the next morning. I just wanted to thank Phil's Plumbing for saving me $1,262 in unnecessary plumbing work. The estimate I got from a competing plumber recommended I run a new 65 foot water line from the water main feeding the house to the sprinkler system to compensate for low water pressure in our showers early in the mornings. Phil, you came, checked the water pressure at 60 pound at the house and at the sprinkler system. You then reset the sprinkler clock so that the sprinklers do not go on at the same time we take showers which robbed the house of adequate water pressure. I have had problems with a Tankless water heater. I contacted Tankless Solutions and spoke to Philip. He asked me to send him a text picture of my unit. He was very astute in observing a problem with the installation. On the service call he immediately recognized the problem and fixed the unit for use now and possibly eliminated an ensuing destruction of the unit because of condensation back up.
